Beware return window for core
The part I purchased had a deposit to return the old core. When I tried to return the core they said I was past their return window and they would not give me anything. Must admit the return window is on their website. But you have to look for it. It is NOT obvious! Besides, the old part can still be rebuilt. So they should at least offer me something for it.
Proceed with caution.

I ordered several parts with next-day shipping for $103 extra. The parts took 3 days to come in and one part was missing from the order, causing me to have to spend $100 extra for my shop to order the part.
Upon contacting customer service they told me the part had been shipped. I had to send them evidence that the part had not been shipped. Had to call them back several times and once they hung up on me.
Eventually, they did indeed refund me for the part and were able to refund me half of the handsome shipping fee.
Proceed with caution.

Bought a starter motor for my classic Mercedes, it didn’t fit and they won’t respond to emails. Poor company, so disappointed. The new starter was just a generic one with no labels or anything. Do not waste your time with this company.

Cost me $375 extra due to defective parts and terrible return policy!
I purchased a set of four shock absorbers for my 2011 GMC Terrain from BuyAutoParts ( SO-1635268). Upon delivery, I paid a professional mechanic $200 to install them. Immediately following installation, the vehicle was completely undriveable; the suspension was totally locked up and stiff, presenting a major safety hazard. The mechanic verified that the parts were defective from the manufacturer.
I contacted customer service, and they acknowledged the defect by offering a free replacement. However, because my vehicle was disassembled on a mechanic's lift, I could not wait days for replacement transit times.
I was forced to return the items and purchase working parts elsewhere. BuyAutoParts refused to provide a prepaid return shipping label, forcing me to pay $175 out-of-pocket to USPS to return their defective merchandise.
I am currently out $375 ($200 useless labor + $175 return shipping) due entirely to this company's poor quality control.
I demand a full refund of the $175 return shipping fee. I have attached the official mechanic's invoice proving the product defect and the USPS shipping receipt proving my out-of-pocket return expense.
So far I’m happy - refurbished steering rack works well.
Ordered electric steering rack & all new tie rods for my Audi Q5 TDI: everything arrived in 1 day (I paid for overnight delivery), it was installed and my Audi runs great.
I hope it doesn’t fail in the future, I drove 1000 miles so far: this decision saved me $2k compared to buying a new unit. I went with Indy shop for labor, saving thousands on labor versus going with Audi Dealer. I returned the old failed unit for $200 core refund, BuyAutoParts gave me the $200 back as they promised.
I’m happy I ordered from BuyAutoParts & glad it all worked out.

I had a good experience. They did hold my order on confirmation of shipping by calling but no problem they are covering my butt and theirs by double confirming. So make sure you read the emails they send
Next day is not there even though it states it is
Ordered part next day with 1 hour still to cutoff and they emailed me 3.5 hours later to confirm the part when the website already confirmed it. They had horrendous customer service when I tried to get them to send the part and literally hung up on me in the process.
Absolutely horrible experience
Absolutely horrible experience. Confirmed online part by calling customer service. Ordered the part and 5 year warranty. Wrong part sent. Before sending the correct part they require a deposit of 1/2 the money before sending it out. Then asked me to look at a picture of the correct part to see if it matches my original part. UNBELIEVABLE! Absolutely no way I would ever donbusiness with them again. Rhis was my first and last time.
Easy return
Had a problem caused by one of their manufacturers. They let me return it no problem. They even did their best to make sure I had the right part. The big thing for me was an easy return when I had a problem.
My first experience with BAP
My first experience with BAP, I ordered a new steering gearbox for my vintage 560 SL. The man on the phone was very helpful in assuring that I got the correct part. It arrived a couple of days prior to their estimate. The packaging was slightly damaged due to the weight of the steering gearbox, but my mechanic had no problem in installing the part. They promptly credited my account when I returned the used core part. The price was far less than had. I purchased this part through the Mercedes dealership (if it had even been available) I expect to use BAP again as I continue to restore my classic Mercedes 560 SL

The order was delivered on time, and upon inspection my builder says the part looks great and was packaged well. I will do more business with the company.

Bad customer service, never reach back with tech after they took my number multiple times.
purchase a rack and pinion. didnt work , did warranty, it keeps saying lost comunication with power steering control module. keep calling customer support and they keep taking my phone number so a tech can call me back. its been 4 days and they never called back. now im stuck with a part that it is not good.

Bought rack and pinon. Website stated and boasted about their quality control including leak testing. Product arrived sticking out of box. Mechanic installed it and it leaked. $1500 labor! Replacement was received and installed ok, but had to pay labor twice = $3000.
