Like every time I've ordered from CD Japan I have had a very professional service. Great selection and always well packed with a tracking number which you can easily trace ones purchase before delivery.

No Quality control!

I purchased few brushes from CD Japan. I never really get helpful responses, which I lived with. Because it was not not major like never combing an order..etc. But now they sent me a brush that is not only shedding non-stop, it also has yellow particles in it. No idea is that insect eggs or dried dye thing. It Their response to me was we sent these photos to the manufacturer and we will let you know if we get a response. If we get a response. And mind you this the silverFox dragan release 2024 that is a collaboration between CDJapan and Koyudo. I am scared to hell what I introduced to my home if this is mites or whatever!! and asking me to wait a while until the manufacturer may respond. Appalling. This should have never left the warehouse. If there were negative stars I would give them

Terrible service.
I had an preorder cd that never arrived.
Their response basically was "sorry, it may or may not arrive. The US postal service is terrible and you have to wait and see if they send it back to us." I don't know what service they use, but I have received stuff off ebay in a few days. Their denial of responsibility is absolute abhorrent, will never use them again

Have used CDJapan 3 times now. Everytime they are better than the last. Have never had to wait more than 7 days for delivery, which when combined with their use of DHL is superb. My last order was for a pre-order set due for release in Japan on 1st May. It was delivered by DHL to my home in Melbourne by 3pm 1st May. You dont get any better than these guys.

J'ai commandé (1ère commande) avec réticence après avoir lu certains avis, mais mes articles sont difficiles à trouver hors du Japon (ou alors sur Eb.. à des prix effarants). Bref, en faisant bien attention à avoir dans mon caddie que des articles livrables sous 2 à 4 jours, tout c'est bien passé. Les articles sont conformes et authentiques. Livraison rapide, envoi du numéro de tracking par CDjapan et suivi impeccable avec le transporteur.

Client fidèle depuis 2010, ma dernière expérience d'achat sur CDJapan s'est mal passée:

- le 3 février 2024 je commande 4 articles, tous "in stock at supplier - usually ships in 2-4 days" (en stock chez le fournisseur, envoi sous 2-4 jours)
- le 14 février je reçois un premier email m'indiquant que l'un des articles est finalement livrable sous 3-4 semaines
- le 6 mars à 9h32 je reçois un email m'indiquant que l'article en question est finalement "no longer available" et qu'il a été supprimé de ma commande
- le 6 mars à 10h39 je réponds en demandant une substitution avec un autre article en stock
- le 7 mars CDJapan me répond que la commande est déjà en phase d'expédition et qu'il n'est plus possible de la modifier
- le 8 mars je m'enquiers du remboursement de la différence, ne voyant rien sur ma CB et remarquant en revanche un crédit important de "Bonus Points" avec une date d'expiration 1 an plus tard
- le 11 mars je reçois une réponse m'indiquant que le remboursement se fait sous forme de Bonus Points car "il n'est pas possible de faire un remboursement partiel sur carte", alors que rien de tel n'est mentionné dans la rubrique "Conditions of Use" du site.

À partir de là, à la suite de multiples échanges d'emails où j'indiquais que cette solution n'était pas acceptable, que je demandais un remboursement et pas un pseudo avoir à durée limitée (Bonus Points), et qu'il aurait été judicieux de me donner le choix par exemple d'annuler complètement la commande et d'en repasser une avec les articles en stock; j'ai fini par obtenir un "remboursement" via PayPal le 13 mars, sauf que CDJapan a fait le transfert apparemment en cochant la case "achat de marchandise" ce qui fait que PayPal a prélevé 6% de frais et m'a enjoint à "expédier la marchandise" à une adresse au Japon 🤦‍♂️

En bref: en 2024, CDJapan n'est apparemment pas capable de gérer correctement le suivi de ses stocks et surtout n'est pas capable de gérer correctement les remboursements partiels sur carte bancaire. L'absence de communication et l'impossibilité de choisir une autre alternative que le crédit de "Bonus Points" (lesquels ont une durée de vie limitée) font que ma longue fidélité à ce magasin prend fin cette année sur cette mauvaise expérience. Dommage.

I have been a customer for several years now and every time my experience has been first rate. I order classical cd’s and their prices and merchandise are 1st class. Their service is great and very fast. Even their proxy service is exceptional. Most of those cd’s are brand new and reasonably priced. I usually use FedEx Priority shipping and it is very fast to the US east coast. They always carefully pack the cd’s and I have never received anything damaged. In short, I highly recommend CdJapan for any serious collector.

Ordered 3 CDs back on January 4th. 3 days later, I notice one of the CDs is missing from my order. Received an email stating it was out of print. A week later I receive another email concerning one of the CDs, "Availability 3-4 weeks". I knew right then and there that I wasn't getting it. I was right, on February 7th I got another email, "Item unobtainable". Out of 3 CDs I only got one. Granted I was refunded and the stuff cancelled from my order is somewhat obscure but it really bothers me that they don't seem to keep up with suppliers much if at all. Can't say I have much interest buying from them again after this.

J'ai décidé de faire confiance à CDJapan et je le regrette amèrement. J'attendais la sortie d'un jeu depuis quelques années et j'ai finalement décidé de le commander sur ce site où le jeu était indiqué comment étant disponible. Je m'en faisait vraiment une joie. Quelques jours plus tard, j'ai reçu un mail stipulant que le jeu était en rupture de stock et qu'il fallait que j'attende un peu, ce qui m'a étonné car lorsque j'ai commandé, le jeu était bien indiqué en stock. Pendant ce temps, d'autres sites proposaient le jeu, mais là encore, j'ai choisi de faire confiance à CDJapan et j'ai donc attendu. Plus d'un mois plus tard et alors que le jeu n'est plus disponible nul part, j'ai reçu un mail de CDJapan m'indiquant que je ne recevrai jamais le jeu, que ma commande était annulé et qu'ils avaient précéder au remboursement. Opération dans laquelle je perds prêt de 5€ avec la conversion. Maintenant je suis comme un imbécile car je n'ai plus aucun moyen de trouver le jeu qui est en rupture partout et en plus j'ai perdu de l'argent. Je ne commanderai plus jamais chez eux et je ne peux que vous conseiller d'en faire autant, surtout pour des articles dont la quantité pourrait être limitée. Je suis tellement déçu.

Sie bestand ziemlich nur aus Proxy items, der letzte Gegenstand kam nur leider etwas spät bei CDJapan an, das war aber ja nicht deren Schuld.
Der Versand zu mir erfolgte über DHL Express sehr schnell, sodass es trotzdem noch rechtzeitig ankam.

Gestern nachts schaute ich mir ein paar Proxy-Artikel an und wollte sehen, wie viel der Import kosten würde. Dafür bin ich wie gewohnt auf die Checkout Seite gegangen, oben immer schön zu sehen, dass man die Bestellung, da die Artikel nicht von CDJapan sind, auch nicht stornieren kann. Als ich zurück auf die vorherige Seite wollte, entschied sich mein Endgerät, die Seite neu zu laden, wodurch anstelle des Zurück-Buttons dort nun "Place Order stand. Da ich aber währenddessen schon klickte, war die Bestellung schon aufgegeben. Als ich den Shop per E-Mail informierte, erstattete mir dieser, obwohl man eigentlich nicht stornieren kann, das Geld, wies mich aber nochmals darauf hin, dass ich auf der Checkout Seite etwas vorsichtiger sein sollte.

He comprado mucha merch y CDs de Ado en aquí y cumplen de manera impecable siempre, rápido incluso con el envío barato, 0 problemas de aduanas ni nada. Recomiendo comprar cualquier cosa japonesa aquí.

Just had my 6th order with them delivered and it was as safely packaged as always. The ordering process pages don't look super up to date, but it works.

They're our go-to place for Japanese magazines. Absolutely recommended, as far as my experience goes.

Most disappointed with their service! I pre-ordered the Beatles vinyl months ahead. There was no indication of the product being out of stock. But a day before release they emailed me asking to pay extra for proxy charges (3971 Yen)! The reason for pre-order is precisely to avoid paying proxy charges and guaranteed stock of product. There weren't any apology when I wrote to them. This is the second time they mismanaged my orders without an apology!! I've been an active customer for more that 20 years! Deeply disappointed!!!

Horrible, delivery took more than one month, never got any answer on Emails, wrong description on custom forms, had to pay a lot on top - never again!

I placed an order on 15/10/23 on the understanding that the item would be shipped within 1 - 5 days. When this did not happen, I emailed the company but no response. I emailed again a few days later byt still no response. I have now had to contact my credit card company as I suspect fraud. Avoid this company.

I used to be a regular buyer from CD japan . Most of the stuff I ordered wasn't mainstream but they were able to get it . Lately I have had two orders for them which haven't been completed due to their excuse that the supplier was unable to supply stock, even though in both cases they were pre orders and the supplier had stock. They have definitely gone off and I have asked for my money back. I will not use them again as they have become unreliable.

I have the same experience as the others have. The cd isn't in stock and they offered me full refund and then deleted my order...I have all in e-mail luckily. They communication is poor, lack of information...I'm still hoping they will refund me because it wasn't small amount of money 🥲 If anyone have experince how to get my money back please let me know!

I ordered a CD from CDJapan and it never arrived to my home address. I got stuck somewhere at a central postal location in The Netherlands. The cd was then sent back to Japan. CDJapan refused to refund my money after they received their cd back because I paid by creditcard they said. The best they could do was give me a voucher for the money I paid minus the costs they made earlier for sending the package to me before. This is rather lousy custome service and not according to European law.
