DNA Insurance Reviews 

Got in touch with the company for a motor trade insurance. Got quoted £4k, asked if I can call in a couple of days and was told it would be okay. Called back two days later with payments details ready, been told the actual quote would be £6.7k as previous staff member made a mistake. Said okay, will call back to confirm. Called back in 4 days again with payment details ready, and the price just went up again to £7.7k. Absolutely appalling behaviour. Nothing’s been changed since day 1, and the price has already gone up from £4k to £7.7k. Would certainly not recommend if you are looking for an easy and reliable company to do business with. Also, the lack of replies to any reviews and the comments on the other are self explanatory! Please avoid.

Customer service is poor.

It's very bad because they don't answer calls and don't keep you updated. Hard to get though to them and considering the service they provide involves purely communication, this is appalling. I'm still waiting for a reply on an email sent nearly 2 months ago. The email states that I have had no response on an enquiry. My policy has now come to an end.

Renewal was bad. Got told the very best price was £1,000 more than I paid the first year. When I said I've found a quote cheaper and will be going ahead with that the price dropped by £1,300 within an hour.

Worst ever. Won't let you add more then 4 traders vehicles even when proof provided that there's space where to park, customer service is absolutely rubbish , can't get in contact with anyone, doesn't reply to emails. Difficult to add new vehicles to MID, sometimes have to wait days and days for confirmation. Rubbish.
The only thing what they quick is to give you cheapest price and take a payment but it's not worse it, I will better pay more and get back to my previous insurance and they were brilliant, never had any issues. Avoid DNA even if they offer you the best price, all they want is money and then they don't care about any customers.

Renewed with this useless company for me to a become month into my new policy and to get pulled 3 times for no insurance because they cant do fuckall right. Emailed & numerous phone calls to have my vehicles updated on to the mid database and still nothing. Not only that it takes u 45 mins to a hour to get through and speak to someone who hasn’t got a clue how to do there job. Best thing possible is to stay well clear of these nobheads as they do nothing but get on to you for renewing & taking your money but when the shoes on the other foot you get fuckall back out of them

Don't waste your time

I’m with DNA insurance for the last 5 years but last one year become really pain full. Absolutely rubbish, takes a week to add a vehicle on MID, no confirmation weather your car on over or not and now they are asking to buy road tax for stock vehicles in order to put them on MID. Won’t recommend at all to any one.

I would not recommend to take any policy with them. They lie to you. I took a motor trade insurance and I was told that once the policy is set up, I will have access to the portal where I can put cars on the policy myself, this was not true as the Insurer confirmed this not to be true. I have been trying for the whole week to get hold of them just to place a car on the policy on my behalf, I have sent emails, tried to call but without success. So please use other brokers

Honestly completely avoid this company, huge deposit which can not be given back if you cancel, they always send you cancellation emails then when you reply trying to resolve no answer for days/ even to ringing the office! You resolve what they want off you to avoid cancellation ie receipts of trade ( for trade insurance bearing in mind this was never stated that it would be essential when purchasing the policy ) and they then decided they just want to cancel months later! They are a joke and customer service is appalling how can you not answer the phone and be an insurance company it’s like they send you threatening emails of cancellation and put your number on do not answer list so you can’t sort it out. AVOID AVOID AVOID

0 STAR - AVOID. Lied to me, cheated me out of money when it came to renewal, then when it came to actioning to the terms agreed during renewal - they turned a blind eye and wanted more money. Chasing 4 WEEKS for my NCB still nothing. Absolutely fed up, theyve cost me my new insurance policy as I could not provide the NCB from these DNA *ssholes, they never pick up, never action what you agree. Please avoid like the plague. FCA to be approached.

Don't believe anything they say, got sent exclusions from the policy, asked for schedule as it refers everything to that, got very abusive that I requested them, when I did review the schedule( from another broker) it did not cover me for what I was told it would, avoid!!! ( motor trade policy)

Word insurance company ever impossible too get customer service I took a policy out months ago still can’t get my insurance certificate
Never had this with any other insurance broker

WHAT A BUNCH OF COWBOYS. AN INSURANCE BROKER WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE THAT NEVER GETS ANSWERED. NO REPLIES TO 17 E-MAILS, CALL NEW BUSINESS AND THEY ANSWER, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT EXISTING CUSTOMERS. ALL OF MY CARS ARE INSURED WITH THIS BUNCH OF DICK HEADS, BUT NOT FOR LONG!!!!! CANNOT GET A RESOLVE AS THEY DO NOT RESPOND.

Worst brokers ever they are such a mess if you need something from them you have to wait online forever and they keep transferring you from one to another and when the insurance finish with them they ask you to contact the insurance to get your NCB.

My boyfriend did a trader insurance with the company, now that's cancelled but I paid 495£ deposit which was supposed to be returned to me 2-3weeks ago. Called them many times, my boyfriend sent numerous emails no reply.

Absolutely bloody awful! You can never get through, they now are not even replying to our emails!! Disgusting service and cant wait for renewals in February 2024, as we are going elsewhere!!!!!!

Be aware these people don’t call you back with renewal prices even when they tell you not to worry. If you have a claim they charge the third party £56,000 to hire a Range Rover for 4 months delays in your car repairs, and also charged a third party £9500 to hire a bmw for 2 weeks! The renewal quotes go up then because the claims are being argued, appears very very dodging company and activities
Dont have any time for 5 year customers, this is why they are only 2 star rated. reporting them to the financial ombudsmen suspicious trading activities

Took out motor trade policy cost £1700 which i payed in full literally 3 weeks later changed policy wanted a further £600 so i told them to cancel rang a few days later no evidence of me calling to cancel, this happened 3 times then was told my refund would only be £600 due to fees etc robbed me of £1100 which i still have not seen the £600. Definitely avoid this robbing company.

13 officers 8 resignations on the company house all stars to add up so took policy out they cancel after month still have cheek to ask for more money £300 I paid 25% of the premium so that at least 3 months cover will complain to financial ombudsman !!!

Have a motor trade policy with DNA. Once the premium was paid, attitude and policies changed. My account was then managed by a "customer service apprentice" with an attitude problem, who wouldn't allow me to amend my policy in the usual manner. Take your custom elsewhere
