Firstly, please accept our sincere apologies for the concern and frustration caused by the dates displayed on your products, particularly as you have now experienced the same issue with both your original order and the replacement.
We completely understand why you would be unhappy to receive products displaying a best-before date of 4th October when your original order was not placed until 11th October.
From the information provided, we believe this may have been a printing error with the date labels, rather than an issue with the products themselves. However, we appreciate that this is something that needs to be properly investigated and verified, particularly as the same date appeared on your replacement.
We would never expect our customers to simply accept products displaying incorrect dates without a satisfactory explanation and reassurance regarding their quality and safety.
I understand that a member of our Customer Service team has already reached out to you directly to discuss your concerns and help resolve the matter.
Please be assured that your feedback will also be passed to our quality and production teams so that the labelling issue can be investigated further.

Service and Ham at its Best
Our order arrived on the day we requested beautifully packed and presented. A delightful touch was the addition of a gift of delicious artisan sourdough bread - thank you. The ham hock terrine was excellent, very good quality, very tasty with a wonderful consistency.It made a superb addition to an informal lunch with family and friends. Ordered beef cheeks which were absolutely disgusting, even the dog left them. Just brown tasteless water and strings of fatty beef.
I left a review on the actual site but it has been removed by Dukehill! It seems they control what reviews are visible!!

I'm a regular customer so that in itself should speak volumes. I bought a Chateaubriand...
It was off the chart! Thanks to my mum and obviously, the instructions, it cooked to perfection. A very large and nice cut of meat that melted in your mouth.
I can't recommend DukesHill enough for both quality and customer service. Before I go, the bacon is off the chart too. If you're my age (53), you'll understand.

A great choice of items and it’s trial and error as everyone has different tastes …
I have ordered a few items recently and mainly it has been amazing, the service, quality and delivery is definitely spot on and if you spend over a certain amount , there is then no delivery charge, which is a great saving.
We did try the Ham hock and chicken pies x 4 , but these particular pies were not to our taste unfortunately, maybe we were expecting something different , as we felt the taste just wasn’t there.
Otherwise at this moment in time , i will definitely be trying different items and see how they fair.
Everyones’s tastes are different, so it’s one of those, you just have to actually try the things yourself.

This is an amazing on line retailer. Food parcel was packed sustainably, sensibly and protecting my goods. I purchased some sausages for the first time..wow. my hubby is the sausage king and said that these were the best he had ever tasted. Bacon takes me back to my Grandma's house.
