When I chose Ecotricity I was contacted very promptly to set up my tariff and direct debit and the switch happened seamlessly. The customer support team is prompt and fantastic. They are also one of the cheapest on the market.

Been with ecotricity just over a year now , they are superb, I have just moved onto a fixed tariff and chose the wrong one by mistake, when I rang ecotricity customer service nothing was too much trouble, the lady helped me swap onto the correct tariff and advised me of each tariff and which would be better for me. I would highly recommend ecotricity for your gas and electric.

They can't calculate bills correctly, they add double bills, there is no service at all, they only demand money and threaten debt collectors, avoid this company.

Signed up for a fixed deal and there was no indication at all about the requirement for a smart meter. Two weeks later I receive an email from some other company called Calisen asking if I want to upgrade to a smart meter for free. Who are they and no I don't. Three months later my tariff is suddenly changed to variable and I'm charged £150 exit fee. As other reviews have already said, this company is a scam. They tie you into a deal with hidden clauses that they show you when you question them. Ombudsman are being informed. P.S. The usual corporate reply from them will now be forthcoming on this review site to look like they care and there's a team of people waiting to help you. They don't. So Ecotricity, don't bother replying.

At first it all went.
Switching over was easy. Web site and app is good.
Only issue is with comsupion, needs a money value on it, not units.
Had an issue with logging on. I could not log into my account, either using app or web for a day but they emailed me the following day and explained what snet wrong and fixed it.
So far I am impressed. Also cheaper than others.

Be careful guys this company is nothing but a money grabbing had bill come in was in credit by XX amount christmas came alone they took it for there xmas bonus as and best bit about this once i put in complaint is when last bill came in the billed me again for the credit which they took so please be carefull and look at your bills i'm hoping it will go to the ombudsman they ignore the complaints they say they will get back to me in 2/3 working days still waiting

I’ve been with Ecotricity for nearly two years and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Not only is my energy 100% green — which makes me feel like I’m doing something genuinely positive for the planet — but their customer service is also brilliant.
They proactively review my Direct Debit about every six months and, on three occasions, they’ve written to suggest reducing my fixed monthly amount, which feels incredibly fair and customer-focused. I’ve chosen to keep my payments the same because I use more energy in winter, and every time I’ve replied they’ve actioned my request within 24 hours.
They’re also open 7 days a week, which makes it so easy to get help when you need it. A genuinely helpful, proactive and super responsive energy company — I’d absolutely recommend them
