Our 5 star Managers, Wesley & Jamie have brought a breath of fresh air to Homeross House since joining us some 3 years ago. They are both approachable & enthusiastic in all they do for the residents. Any concerns or issues residents have are swiftly dealt with. We couldn't wish for more proactive Managers than Wesley & Jamie, we hope they'll be with us for a long time to come.

We always get a warm friendly welcome from Bill Windsor, the Manager, when visiting my Mum at The Granary Mews in Dumfries. He seems to know all the residents well and has created a very happy environment. I am most appreciative of all he does for my Mum and it is comforting to know he is there. Thank you Bill.

Although only relatively recently appointed to this position Tom embodies all of the qualities and skills essential in successfully filling this role. He is a caring and thoroughly professional man who we are very fortunate to have here. As new residents ourselves it is very reassuring to know that the daily management of the building and caring for all is in such good hands. Thank you very much Tom. you are very much appreciated.

Knights court PERTH
Our Apartment Deeds state that this is a Retirement Complex and for Independent Living, we are experiencing families dumping their elderly parents here who have dementia and there is no one here to deal with this. One lady was found outside by Police in the middle of the night. And other types of situations.
FIRST PORT seem powerless to do anything about this.

Sandra is the Development Manager @ Murray Court in Annan and has been there for just over a year know, but has become part of the wider development family. As a contractor who works in and around the site Sandra is always there to help arrange suitable times to call to carry out any work required and is always a pleasure to work along with.
She is highly thought of by all the residents and goes out of her way to help them all, be it with help in the flats or any urgent needs from the town.
Sandra is always cheerful and willing to spend that little bit extra time when someone needs a little TLC when they are feeling down.
She's an asset to Firstport in Annan and hopefully will be for the foreseeable future.
Keep up the good work Sandra

The warden Sandra at Murray Court, Annan has been so supportive to my mum and our family. She’s really approachable and helpful and has gone out of her way to help my mum. She helped get another fall detector when my mum lost hers. She’s great at communicating with me if there are any concerns. She’s always available at the end of the phone. It’s such a weight off my mind to know that Sandra is there to help my mum if she needs it. My mum has also enjoyed walking along the corridor to have chats with her which had stopped her feeling so isolated. I can’t speak highly enough of her and we’re so pleased to have such a fantastic warden at Murray Court

My dad has been living in HomeTay House, the First Port development in Monifieth, Angus, Scotland, for several years now. He can be challenging in a number of ways due to his medical issue. Ruth McGuigan, the Development Manager, has been great with him! We couldn’t manage without her support. Thank you very much Ruth for everything you do for my dad and the whole wonderful development which you look after so well – Mary 😊

I would like to thank Bill Smith the manager of Strathmore Court for the assistance he provided to my mother when she was taken very ill overnight. Thanks to Bill and a neighbour they were able to get a response from the Ambulance Service before she was admitted to Ninewells Hospital. Over the last 4 weeks we have maintained contact to ensure her safe return to her flat, hopefully next week.

Billy is a great Manager always goes over & above to make sure my granny doing well & and she understand anything going in the place .

Ros has been Development Manager at CASTLE COURT IN BOTHWELLsince 5th January 2022.

During that period she has taken the time to get to know all of our residents and impressively learned all of their names in a very short time. I’ve always found that the residents speak of Ros in the most positive terms and she is well liked by the vast majority who can be demanding in their needs. Her cheerful personality and hardworking style make her an asset to Castle Court here in Bothwell.

She has always been very flexible too, even to the extent of handling very irate people in our car park. At a recent meeting she proved herself an able speaker, including her impressively firm, but fair control of Castle Court residents, who have proved difficult to handle as I know from past experiences.

In the short time she has been our Manager I have watched her deal with people in a very competent way suggesting considerable experience in this difficult area. Her patience and firmness should yield an effective long term working arrangement which will prove to everyone’s advantage.

Yan at Muirfield court is an excellent manager. she always looks out for the residents and resolves promplems promptly.

It has been very reassuring having Yan there for my mother as I can't visit as often as I would like.

She has put in place some great ideas to enable the residents to do their bit for the environment and organises social events to combat loneliness.

A great all round manager and very helpful

Never had any reason to fault the work carried out by our Development Manager who is always about and so keen to keep the development at a very high standard of cleanliness and is always on hand to ask for help and advice.
Yan is by far one of the best Managers around and we are extremely lucky to have her as our Development Manager.

Queens Court in Edinburgh is a pleasant place to live, the first port development manager Stephen is excellent and does a great job.

I couldnt be more satisfied with the care and attention I have received from Marie in Homeburn House. She is exceptionally helpful and caring and I am delighted with all the assistance she has given my mum and myself since mum has become slightly less mobile.

I recently moved into Homeross House in Edinburgh. I did a bit of research first as I was downsizing and was looking for a modern one bedroomed quiet warm flat not far from Leith where I am from. I am lucky as I still work 3 days and dont need any help at all..in fact Wes the manager questioned my age when I arrived.
This place is outstanding....Wes and Jamie couldnt be any more helpful although I dont need to see them! Gardens are lovely..laundry room is spotless..in fact the whole place is spotless. If you have any doubts about whether it right moving in to a retirement flat at 60 don't as you won't find anywhere as perfect as this....

Marie at HomeBurn House is an outstanding Manager. I got to know her really well through my cousin who was a resident until very recently. Marie was a source of great support to me and to my cousin when it was most needed. She is a person who cares and is very compassionate. Marie continues to be very supportive to me with some outstanding issues. HomeBurn House is a splendid place and gains immeasurably with Marie at its helm.

After sending many emails and calling many times... my issue was finally resolved. First port have many issues it seems as a company and you only have to look at their negative reviews to see.
A call centre in South Africa compounds the problem and no contact telephone number for the Pet Consent Department is bonkers... especially when they don't even reply to emails
Where FirstPort save on costs and service YOU as a customer loses time, money and sanity... good one FirtsPort... it's all about dat P R O F I T after all !! ; )

Advice - get new staff that care and managers that can manage!

Marion (The scheme manager) at Mayfield court, Edinburgh has been fantastic the whole 6 days we’ve been doing works here. She went above and beyond her duties helping us to get the works completed well ahead of schedule.
She even rented us the guest suite at the scheme and gave us recommendations on where to eat and drink after our shift.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Marion Lamb, Manager in Mayfield Court, Edinburgh for all the help and support she has provided to our cousin William Crease (Flat 417). The support Marion provided to William was definitely over and above what was expected of her and she was very good at keeping us (Williams family) informed if she had concerns about anything.
Marion is always very approachable and helpful and we would like to convey our sincere thanks to her. She is a real asset to your Company.

A huge influence on the success of living in a supported housing complex is down to the capability and attitude of the House Manager.
In Marion, we absolutely have a five star individual, who has a made a real difference to some of the standards in our building. The cleanliness of the public areas, the maintenance of the garden areas are just a couple where under Marion's management we have seen real improvements, while also having a very strong focus on the costs associated with the building.
Above all, however the the attitude that Marion brings to her work, the effort made to resolve any issues, often before they actually become issues, is of great value as a resident. Her friendly and supportive approach really makes a difference to our living at Mayfield Court.
