Just bought a new pair of walking boots and was helped by the store assistant, Norman. Norman was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of walking boots choice and aftercare, as he was talking from his own wealth of experience. It makes a very refreshing change to have a store assistant who has hands on experience and who can offer useful advice. I would say that Norman is worth his weight in gold to Go Outdoors!

We were assisted by Usamah, who guided us through the best outdoor walking boots. He remained helpful, patient and very informative throughout the trying on of various pairs of boots. He listened to our requirements and did not try and “up- sell”. So good to have the guidance. Thanks Usamah.

Excellent service. Had everything we needed to kit our teenage son out for scout camp. Really brilliant staff knowledge from Norman who help fit our sons new walking boots and taught him about maintaining them and lacing them safely. He is a real credit to the store. Thanks Norman :)

Not enough choice of women’s walking boots/shoes. And also it’s really poor that there are no half sizes. I ended up getting a pair off Amazon that I had tried at Go Outdoors in 7 and half. Perfect fit and cheaper.

Excellent service provided by Norman - one of the most friendliest and helpful of staff you could ever be served by. Nothing was too much bother and his depth of knowledge based on actual experience was outstanding. Tried a few walking shoes and eventually bought the best choice based on comfort and recommendation.

I ordered some walking trousers on line and they did not fit right. I returned them to the Blackburn store on the12th June and I have not received my refund yet. I rang Go Outdoors today 926th June to ask where it was. I was told another 5 days then check my bank account. Why can the store not refund me or knock the price off a purchase I made instore on the 12th June

I was served today by Norman in the footwear department. I went straight to the footwear section to purchase a pair of trail shoes. I am a very experienced mountaineer, walk and expedition leader. Norman was helpful, informative and treated me with courtesy, he is very clearly both knowledgeable experienced in the 'outdoors'.

The store is well set out and I could easily find the items I required- a map, a hat and some hiking socks. I was asked if I needed any assistance, but was not pressurised. Staff were helpful.
My only disappointment was looking at the sale rack- the items I looked at were incorrectly labelled and I gave up searching for a bargain.

We were served by Norman. He was very friendly and helpful in helping my son choose some walking boots. More of this please.

Norman the assistant was a credit to the company, his in-depth knowledge of the stock & types of walking boots best suited for the terrain to be used on.
He was well informed where in the store various items were to be located.
It was a pleasure to be treated as a valued customer ,which is missing in many other retail outlets.
I can't recommend the experience high enough at Go Outdoors
I wouldn't go anywhere else if they sell the item I need.
