That young man will go far.
There was a member of staff available. I asked of he had any thermos flasks in stock.
He took me to the section, helped me choose the best for my needs and walked back with me and processed the sale.
That was all excellent.
I was feeling quite happy that day and was cracking jokes during the process. To his credit, he matched my mood and joined in.

Excellent customer service from Garry. Armed with my membership number, I popped in to establish how long ago I had bought a pair of boots that appeared to have worn down prematurely. Garry inspected the boots and offered to exchange them for a brand new pair, which surpassed my expectations. It’s a good reminder of the value of face to face service. Thank you very much.

Excellent customer service by staff member "Tia"
Purchased a Peter Storm packaway lightweight waterproof jacket with effectively a 50% G-O-card discount. I cannot praise highly enough the helpful, professional and pleasant service given by "Tia", who offered advice on sizing and alternative options whilst dealing with several customers, as she seemed to be the only (downstairs) member of staff on duty. This sort of intelligent, caring and flexible customer service is something I've not seen in a retail store for a long time, so thank you!
[Added on 18/07/2025] The Peter Storm lightweight waterproof jacket has performed excellently, keeping me dry in some torrential downpours whilst out dog-walking. It's 100% more effective than a previous similar item (not from G-O), whose inner seams disintegrated within an hour of their first exposure to heavy rain. Great value for money, thanks.

Helpful staff shame about the carabiners you sell which are a complete waste of money. The one I bought lasted less than 5 minutes no stronger than a paper clip!
