Hgv Driver Training Centre Reviews

worst customer service

My experience was outstanding, very supportive and reassuring throughout the whole process, everything is organised and put in place to help you pass. I would definitley recommend them to who is wanting to do their hgv license.

Really easy to learn through this company

Wasted a month of my time.

After a long search for a company to go with my HGV training I found this one due to their reviews. However I wish I didn't. From the start I wasn't listed to.

At the start you go through basic paperwork where to see what you need to do, I informed 2 different people in 2 different departments that I do not need a medical due to already having a provisional license however I was still persuaded to do so which I did and after doing it, the doctor told me that this was a waste of time as you only need a medical if you're applying for a provisional license. Which I already have... That's fine I thought as its only one mistake that the company made.

Then after a week I get my dates for my course, I think that's great. However after another week, I get a call saying that course has been cancelled and they will call me to let me know the next set of dates. So I wait, a week goes by and nothing, so I email them for an update, I proceed to do this every two days however all I get is an email saying "sorry no update, we will email you when there is one".

3 weeks go by at this point, still no date. I then call up to cancel my course. Get told that a manager will call me up at 1pm ... 1:48 no call.

I decide to call up and chase up the manager to then be dismissed and told to just contact customer service as he doesn't deal with this stuff.

Waste of time and honestly very poor service.

Course was easy to follow and well executed

From start to finish and beyond you are valued and treated with great respect. Steve the trainer totally fantastic gives you all the advice and support needed for you to achieve the qualifications. Jamie

I had an amazing experience with HGV Driver Training Centre. The whole process was smooth and professional and I felt supported every step of the way, Everything was explained clearly, and I never felt rushed or under pressure, if ever needed to speak to somebody the phone dont go past 2rings before somebody answers lol,
i couldnt be more happier with them.

also a big thanks to merrib, what a man!
he made my experience, hes was
friendly, patient and professional throughout. He made me feel confident and comfortable during my training and is a real credit to the company. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

I completed my HIAB course through HGV Driver Training Centre and the whole experience was excellent. From the first enquiry the team were professional, clear and genuinely helpful. They explained what the course involved, sorted the arrangements, and made sure I knew exactly what to expect.
The training itself was first-class. The instructor was patient, knowledgeable and practical — not just ticking boxes, but making sure I understood the equipment, the controls, safe working practice and how to operate with confidence. Everything was explained properly and I never felt rushed. By the end of the course I felt competent and much more confident on the HIAB.
Communication throughout was brilliant. Queries were answered quickly, the booking ran smoothly, and the staff treated me like a person rather than a number. That support made a real difference.
If you need HIAB training and want a company that actually looks after you rather than leaving you to work it out yourself, I would recommend HGV Driver Training Centre without hesitation. Professional, well organised and a genuinely outstanding experience.

From the very first phone call to the end of my course, they were fantastic and extremely helpful! Nothing was too much trouble if I needed any help or advice so i would highly recommend them.

Excellent service.
Very well organised and great to have it an all in one package.
Would highly recommend.

I wanted to be confident and competent driving a horse box as I had never driven a vehicle that big before, so enlisted on a two morning (consecutive Mondays) C1 driving course, where I got to drive the equivalent, being an ambulance.
At first I signed up for the complete driving test but then realised my driving licence already said I could drive a C1 vehicle. When I called to explain this, the staff listened and took swift action. I was promptly given a refund as I did not have to take a test.
I didn’t realise that I would be going out on the road straight away, I thought there would be a test circuit a bit like when I did a skid pan experience day. However my instructor Steve was excellent. He had to put his trust in me from the outset, which I thought was very brave.
I had a bit of an issue with the 6 position gear box during the first morning as when changing down kept finding 2nd gear rather than 4th, that was ironed out on my second morning’s driving. Steve was patient giving good advice and constructive feedback. Thank you, Steve, you’re a great instructor.

Very good experience, very helpful every step of the way, good resources for my theory, couldn't recommend them enough

Unbelievable team! Helped me through the entire course always available and helpful.

Booked my CE driving course. Simple and easy from start to pass. Found Merab and Carolyn really helpful and quick to reply to any issues I had. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thanks all at HGV driver training especially Merab.

Brilliant company! I passed my class 1 with Hgv Driver Training. From the first phone call to the final test day. I felt reassured that I was learning with the best company, whether I had any questions or worries they helped me out without an issue. Highly Recommend!!

Great staff. Would recommend.

Very helpful and were there for anything I needed along my journey. Thank you to Carolyn and team, I would recommend the HGV training centre to anyone interested in starting a new career in HGV

I decided start a new career as a HGV driver. HGVtraining centre has been great from start to finish. Got me all my courses booked to suit my availability. Even once I finished they kept in touch and got me a job working for a major Haulage company. The people in the office especially Anthony have been friendly and very helpful. You couldn't go wrong using this company

Great trainers, very professional
