Awful company incompetent and lying advisor trevor lloyd bromley area. Just needed a re measure as had already had whole house done few months before but this was out of date. Should of been simple. Turns out trevor forgot to add a window to quote rather then admit his mistake he lied. I’ve spent months trying to deal with incompetent customer services I followed consumer rights advice and put my grievance into writing and they didn’t even acknowledge it. I’ve been forced to pay another £200 on top of the £2000 I have already paid for these poor quality blinds made abroad. I urge you not to use this over priced incompetent company. Months later the job still not fitted as he messed up another window had to weight months for this to be put right and now still no remote. Awful awful company and experience please please please use another company as when one of thier employees does wrong. As a company they don’t put it right l. The man gave me no paper quote didn’t go through anything wirh me or tell me to check my order. As if already had a full quote previously I assumed his £2000 quote was for whole front I had asked the man todo!

Just wanted to say our experience with Hilary blinds was excellent from start to finish. So pleased with our Roman blinds that are fit to perfection by Logo (Brian).
He was a pleasure to deal with…very professional & I would recommend Logo to anyone thinking of getting blinds.

We had shutters fitted throughout the house in September 2020.
One of the bedroom shutters had been made too small. Kent, our fitter carried on and fitted it, but said that we should contact the company and let them know. We were entitled to have a new window, or he could fit a fillet and we could have some money back.
As it was a spare bedroom, we settled on the latter, and were refunded the princely sum of £125.
Fast forward a few months, and the same shutter had peeled along the top on the side facing outwards.
We rang Hillary’s, to be told that shutters are only guaranteed for a year.
If we wanted someone to come out and look at it, that would set us back £70 without any subsequent work being carried out.
Not happy with this, we visited our local store.
Unfortunately we can’t remember the young lady’s name who dealt with it, but she was lovely.
Not so the lady we spoke to on the phone whilst we were there.
She was very brusque and unhelpful and said that because we’d accepted compensation for that particular window, the responsibility was ours.
We don’t agree at all with that, we accepted the money because the shutters were wrongly cut, not of shabby quality.
Despite the lovely lady in the shop sending an email to the powers that be, we’ve not even received an acknowledgment a couple of months on.
Very poor customer service indeed.

If this is the same Hillarys blinds with a double L then I am still thouroughly disappointed in the service and will not recommend to any one. First, the elderly and mature gentleman surveyor promised to always be on the end of the phone if we ever needed help. He never was and 4 months later has not replied calls or text messages. Then the deal breaker; after the June survey they promised an unhelpful September installation which never happened because of delays in supplies from China as if that wipes away the delays and frustration.Then they promised items would arrive by 13/10/2021 and would have expected some sort of confirmation which did not happen. Called up today and now they are expecting delivery next Tuesday 19/10 whereupon the installer would very hopefully call to fix a date for the installation, if he can find a way through the smoke and mirrors. Considering the indifferent, aloofish approach to customer concerns, not to talk of satisfaction, I want my money back.

Ordered some shutters last January, went with them because they had fitted some before for us. They said it would be August… a longtime but agreed. Days before fitting told that the shutters wouldn’t be in the country till September. So earliest fitting would be October!!! Still not given a date so contacted them to complain, twice, no response. They are either busy or as I suspect having numerous complaints. Don’t order from them. Wish I had gone with a local reliable firm

We have dealt with Simon Chappel , from Hilary’s Blinds, on a number of occasions. Recently we purchased and had fitted new conservatory blinds fitted. As always Simon was helpful, polite and efficient. The blinds were delivered on time and fitted without any problems. We are very happy with the service provided and with the finished result. Thank you.

Still waiting to hear from customer service…I put a review on a couple of days ago, they respond saying they will look into this and guess what still nothing. Absolutely terrible customer service…please use local company…I wish I could get my money back and cancel order but they said I can’t. They tell me I have to put up with their bad customer service due to the shutters already being ordered. Absolutely disgraceful. I’m in my 40’s and never wrote a bad review in my life…AVOID HILARYS BLINDS!!!

I was dealing with Philip Sutherland and he has been extremely helpful, fantastic service and everything that was promised has been delivered. The blinds across the whole house look fantastic - and real quality. Thanks Philip for your fantastic service I will be sure to use you again.

Awful blinds . Over priced , unprofessional and have ruined the look of the house very disappointed. They took the full amount of money before anything was done . Never have I worked with such a poor company. The fitter was pretty unhelpful when your complain .

This cheap company will come in ruin your house and then not repair it back, The management are cowards and wont accept they have . The customer service is poor and they will never help a client, Even when you send pics in,

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE COWBOY FITTERS, THEY WILL NEVER HELP , THE BLINDS ARE POOR / CHEAP and TACKY, YOU WILL BE LEFT DISAPOINTED,

Just had new lounge and bedroom curtains and we just love them. Tim Goode did a fantastic job fitting them Tim was very professinal throughout the two visits and a credit to the company. The curtains are of very good quality and were really pleased with them. We highley recomend Hilary's and thank you again Tim were really pleased with what you have done.

As we've been slowly decorating our house, over the last year or two, we have used several different suppliers of blinds and have since discovered some pros & cons with Hilarys blinds. The main reason for using different suppliers is that we wanted to use Hilarys for all our rooms but they informed us that should we remove any blind (for decorating a room) it would invalidate their guarantee, hence we only purchased one blind from them for the first room we redecorated (a medium sized bedroom). We wanted to purchase quite a few blinds from Hilarys in one go but it wasn't to be.

Pros: Prices are average, the blinds seem well made, they were professionally fitted, the Hilarys consultant was pleasant (not pushy). But there again all these pros can be applied to our other blinds suppliers too.

Cons (and the main reasons for this review): 1. Hilarys blinds are heavier to pull up than the other suppliers, given that the windows are of the same size and the materials are the same (faux wood), 2. unable to source all the blinds at once from Hilarys (if you're going to redecorate all the rooms after installation), 3. our main source of irritation is that all the cords are on the same side of the window which leads to the cords getting slightly tangled and invariably the wrong cord (out of the three) being grabbed to adjust the blinds. All our other suppliers have the traditional layout of the pull cords being on the opposite side of the window to the adjustment side!

We would use Hillarys again but we would also use the other suppliers we discovered because Hillarys don't allow their blinds to be taken down for decorating.

Great service from Simon Chappel. We are very pleased with the poles, curtains and blinds that he helped us choose and that he fitted recently.

From my home visit, with Peter, to today's fitting, with Kasta, I have had fantastic customer service.
I have had 4 blinds fitted and I am delighted with them all. I am a very happy customer.

Extremely poor customer service. No acceptable attitude for the mistakes they have done. Once they take money from your account..that's it.

Did not deliver agreed design and now not ready to accept their mistake.

Now as response to this feedback they might say - we are sorry or apologize which trust me they would never mean it.. !!!

Me and my partner had decided that we wanted shutters fitted to the front of the house, 2 bay windows and one regular shaped window. We contacted Hilary's at the beginning of February 2021 and a sales person attended that same week to measure up and provide a quote (approx. £3000). The sales person advised upfront that if we were to order we would not be able to get them fitted until May due to a backlog, which we were fine with and paid a 50% down payment that day.

A few weeks pass and a fitter arrives to measure up, after measuring the downstairs bay window he has a look at the upstairs one which does not have a window sill. He immediately start grumbling loudly to himself that it can be done, not possible etc and seemed to be somewhat angry about it, which was not a nice experience for my partner who was alone with him in the house after just coming off a night shift. The fitter then proceeds to call someone to shout down the phone at them that it can't be done, then once he's finished on the phone he tells my partner the same with a very bad attitude and leaves. This is the last thing you want to hear after handing £1500 over to a company to complete some work. After this we were contemplating cancelling the order but the sales person assured us that he would send round a 'more experienced fitter as it is a complicated job', why they would send an incompetent fitter to my house in the first place I do not know. The second fitter arrives and is much more professional and measures up without issue.

A few months pass with no contact then we were advised in April that the shutters would now be delayed until June, which was a bit annoying but it is what it is.

When the fitter finally returned in June to fit the shutters he went upstairs and did those ones first, which at first glance looked good. He then came downstairs to me and told me he had some bad news and that the downstairs shutters were the complete wrong size. I was advised that the sales persons measurements had been sent to the manufacturer instead of the fitters measurements for the downstairs window only (how this happens I do not know). The fitter then advised that he would put his report in to head office about the mistake that same day and advised me to contact head office the following day to see what would be done about the mistake. After he left I checked the upstairs shutters and one of the panels on the bay window is different to the rest, it does not split 2/3's up like the others. Furthermore the shutters for the normal shaped window sit slightly ajar as the magnets holding the top closed do no stay connected.

After contacting head office and the sales person who initially sold me the shutters I was told that I'd have to wait the full period again to have the shutters fitted correctly, no compensation offered. After hearing this is said I would rather have the existing shutters removed and get my money back, had I known the downstairs ones did not fit I would not have agreed to have the upstairs ones fitted. I have since been told that Hilary's have a 'right to resolve' the issue, and that they apparently have as long as they like to do so. I am now battling with customer service to have the shutters removed and get a full refund as I want to take my business elsewhere.

I would advise everyone reading this review to avoid this company completely. Use a local company to complete the work, you will get a better, more personal service and it will likely be cheaper. You might think, like I did, that if you go with a premium company you will get a premium service, however this is not the case at all and if you are still thinking of using Hilary's after reading this I would urge you to at least consider other options. Once they have your money they do not want to know. I have taken the time to write this because I would be doing a disservice to any potential customers of Hilary's by keeping this experience to myself.

Had Bill out today to help my elderly Mom choose blinds for her new house. He was so professional and friendly . Patient, kind and knowledgeable. The price was really competitive and the quality of the goods is very good.

Called to book a home visit. Easy booking & someone round within a few days.
Placed an order, delivered within a few weeks.

This is the second lot of roller blinds fitted by Ian, as before excellent service very polite and professional.

I would definitely recommend Hilary Blinds I had blinds fitted in 2008 and have just had them replaced, not because it needed it but just because I wanted a different design.
