I attended the concert this weekend and really enjoyed the performance. The musicians were excellent and the programme was well put together.

There was a late venue change, but we were informed by email and the concert went ahead as planned. Everything ran smoothly on the night, and it was clear a lot of effort had gone into making sure the event still happened.

I’m glad I went and would attend another concert in the future.

This company is misusing the Trustpilot flagging tool. Everything in my review is factual and includes information in the public domain.

If I could give a lower score, I would. I purchased four tickets on 31/12/2025 for a Harry Potter Orchestral Show on 01/03/2026, to the value of £146.73. The show was booked for Victoria Hall in Bolton at 3pm.

We arrived at the venue to find it in darkness, with the doors locked. There were other people that had arrived for the show too, and someone told us it had been cancelled. I pressed the buzzer and the lady at the venue said they had no booking for the show.

My payment went to INSTEP ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS (a dissolved company). The tickets were promoted by JENMAT PRODUCTIONS.

I reported the transaction as fraudulent to my bank, and I have been refunded, but this doesn’t accommodate the travel costs, the inconvenience of waiting for a new bank card, or the disappointment of not attending a show as a birthday treat for my daughter.

I have also reported the people involved to the police, by calling their fraud team on 0300 123 2040.

Keep been flagged for defamation because I keep mentioning our payment went to a company called Instep academy. Same owners of both company. Not sure if our money will ever be back due to only jenmat supposedly being in liquidation. Will they investigate and take assets from Instep Acadamy into account?

Further to my post yesterday, it turns out that the liquidator has been in talks with Jenmat but Jenmat haven't actually appointed them yet, so nothing will be happening until Jenmat do that. As many people, including me, have been sold tickets by Instep Academy, I would suggest a collective email 'nudge' to the Director at Instep Academy to 'encourage' them to accept the terms of the liquidator - Instep is easily found by googling. An email or a Facebook message would suffice. Another ticket holder forwarded me the liquidator company details to get claims in. Company name Parker Walsh. Contact Louie.

Jenmat does not reply to reviews, but flags them so they are hidden.

This is my second review. I will stick to facts that cannot be disputed.

Purchased tickets for for A Tribute To Harry Potter at the Victoria Halls Bolton.
90 minutes before the show, I received an email which stated "Following on from previous communications - Jenmat Productions Ltd has appointed an Insolvency Practitioner as Liquidator and the formal liquidation process is now underway".
This is the first correspondence I had received since purchasing the tickets in December.

Upon checking the Facebook page of the venue, the event had been cancelled (please see Victoria Halls Bolton FB page for information). The venue states that no booking existed between themselves and Jenmat Productions.

The link from the original email to "manage tickets" is now a broken link.
Ticket Tailor's T&Cs state you must seek refunds from the event organisers.

No money has been refunded. There is no way to contact the company.

Jenmat - you can see these reviews because you are flagging them. Please respond to customers seeking refunds for events which never took place.

Turned up at Bolton for Harry Potter today and there was a notice on the door stating that they were unaware of the event and it had never been booked so the email everyone received saying about the last minute cancellation was a incorrect. The venue was never booked in the first place
Have been informed by Trustpilot that my email is defamatory…would like to say I have a photo of the notice from the management at Victoria’s Hall stating they knew nothing if the event so I am only saying what was on the door.

Booked an event advertised by Jenmat Productions at Victoria Hall. Arrived early to find the venue closed, lights off, doors locked — and no event taking place.
Venue staff confirmed there was no booking and no involvement with Jenmat Productions at all.
No notification.
No alternative.
No explanation.
Just a wasted journey, wasted time, and customers left standing outside a locked building.
Advertising a venue you haven’t secured is extremely misleading and completely unacceptable.
I expect a full refund and appropriate compensation for the time and travel wasted. Until this is resolved, I would strongly advise others to verify any Jenmat Productions event directly with the venue before booking.

Would do zero stars if I could.... Absolute disgrace of a company which is still active on companies house.
No email received back as I tried to emailed and ask why the event in Bolton had been cancelled and no response. The only reason I realised is because the venue posted on there Facebook page that event was cancelled. I purchased 4 tickets for Christmas presents. Very upset and disappointed. Do not trust these companies and will be more vigilant in future!

Just getting ready to leave the house for a 3pm performance today of the Music of Harry Potter at Albert Hall, Bolton - get an email at 1:31pm to advise the planned production will not be going ahead due to Jenmat going into insolvency! Absolutely disgusting - this was a Christmas present for my daughter! Very poor communication - not blaming the venue, only the production company! Wish I’d checked these reviews sooner!

Booked tickets for Tribute to The music of Harry Potter orchestra back in Dec 2025 for 1st of March 2026. Paid £75.20 for 2 tickets. I found out this morning (1st of March 2026!!!) that it's cancelled and no refunds are being issued. Absolutely fuming. They should not be allowed to trade. Charging people for services they never deliver!!!!

We (Victoria Hall, Bolton) would like to address the significant number of comments suggesting that this matter is the venue’s responsibility.

The event titled “Music of Harry Potter”, promoted by JENMAT Productions and advertised as featuring the International Film Orchestra, was listed and tickets were sold to the public using our venue’s name without our consent or authorisation.

JENMAT Productions did not have a signed contract, booking agreement, or any permission to promote or sell tickets for an event at this venue.

For clarity, this event was never listed on our official website as a confirmed performance. The only reference displayed on our website was a cancellation notice image. This was added deliberately so that ticket holders could contact us directly and be informed of the situation, rather than travelling to the venue and arriving to find the building closed and in darkness.

We have also been made aware that this promoter has a history of cancelling performances shortly before the scheduled date.

Tickets were sold via Ticket Tailor, a self-service ticketing platform that allows event organisers to set their own terms and conditions. JENMAT Productions’ terms stated that tickets were non-refundable, even if an event is cancelled or postponed, meaning they retain the funds.

As a result, refunds are not being issued through the ticketing platform despite the event not taking place.

Ticket holders have been advised that they may be able to recover their money by contacting their bank or card provider and explaining the situation.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience and frustration caused. However, we must make it absolutely clear that this event was advertised and ticketed without the venue’s knowledge, agreement, or authorisation, and we had no involvement in its promotion or ticketing

We booked tickets for this Sunday at Victoria Hall in Bolton to see the Tribute to Harry Potter Music, we went on VHall website yesterday and saw it was cancelled, VH were aware of this scam and did this so customers knew the situation so we would phone them for this horrible outcome but it does looks like a scam as Victoria Hall did not see or aware that this company were advertising this event either.
The reviews look similar to what we are experiencing now but how they get away with this consistently is beggars belief. I am hoping the bank will now hopefully refund us the monies.
Do not book anything with them.

I purchased 2 tickets in December for A Tribute to the music of Harry Potter(1.3.26 at Victoria Hall, Bolton)from Jenmat Productions. By chance, I saw recently that the concert had been cancelled. There has been no communication from Jenmat. Victoria Hall say this concert was never booked with them. There has been no response to a request for a refund from Jenmat. They used Ticket Tailor to supply the tickets, and refunds cannot be made by them.
So, I agree with other reviewers, that this company should be avoided, and I will do a lot of research in the future before booking tickets to these sorts of events.

Bought tickets from the Music of Harry Potter for my daughters. After seeing comments about these concerts being cancelled I contacted the venue. They confirmed that Jenmat had no contract or agreement with the venue and sold the tickets without their permission and are known to regularly cancel concerts. The ticket site they use (Ticket tailor) allow them to not give refunds for cancellations.
Be prepared to lose your money.

Booked an event in Coventry, Feb 7th,
For Tribute to Harry Potter music performance and they cancelled shortly before the event.
No response when I emailed them, no refund.
These guys seem to be using legitimate business accounts to promote these phantom events.
Somebody will be liable.
I’m now getting WhatsApp’s messages for similar events.

I really wish I’d found these reviews prior to booking. I’d booked 2tickets for the 7th Feb, went to look up where I was going just over a week prior, and this company was nowhere to be found through links that I’d sent to my mum. After searching, I found something that said cancelled, I then got the tickets and contacted the place it was supposed to be at…. They knew nothing.
I found an email address, and they did respond stating the venue had doubled booked, and would let people know when they’d found a venue!!
No response to my reply.
5days prior to event, they have emailed to say what I’d already knew, and continued to ignore follow up emails, no refunds offered, no change of venue!
I considered myself quite savvy online, avoiding scams etc, but these ARE SCAMMERS, my mum won’t have a birthday gift, as these scumbags have MY MONEY!
I will be reporting wherever I can to get these scum off the internet and scamming others!

Total scam, advert on fb, no reason to think this wasn’t legit. Paid for Harry Potter tickets, doesn’t exist!

Con artists. Take money cancel event for whatever reason, then disappear no refunds no contact.
