Great service from the guys here. After a few calls to sort out details and to clarify points there was no pushy sales tactics, left to make up my own mind, they even called the underwriter to clarify a question they didn't know the answer to off hand, that small thing gave me such piece of mind.
I can't comment on making claims etc but my experience of fact finding and purchasing was above normal standards

I have taken insurance with JS Insurance last years Trekking and I was satisfied with them. I have contacted this year through email. Got a quote and had a telephone conversation with Cain and paid. I recommend to anyone adventure holiday, great place to use JS Insurance. Friendly.

Cian the agent was fantastic. He was really helpful. We had a few issues with emails. But he went above and beyond to help.

Cain noticed I’d not selected any sports on my policy. Emailed me to let me know, amended my policy and sent me a new certificate within minutes. Exceptional service, polite and well written emails which kept me fully informed at every step. Thank you so much.

Absolutely terrible. Unresponsive, poor level of cover and say they are processing the claim but aren’t. Also phone numbers aren’t accessible and often advisors hang up.

So far so good.

I guess the test is when you make a claim?

These guys really went the extra mile to find me the travel insurance for trekking in Nepal that everyone else seemed to decline! I had a couple of health issues, am in my 60’s and wanted helicopter rescue cover to a level that will fully cover current highly inflated prices for this. Everyone else fell by the wayside on one or more of these criteria, but nothing was too much trouble for Cain at JS, addressing all my needs and patiently answering all my questions and addressing all my challenges. Highly recommended!

Whilst I did not need to make a claim and cannot comment on that side of the process JS were instrumental in allowing our trip to go ahead when my recently bereaved 80 year old father decided to accompany my partner and I on our long planned self drive safari holiday in the Kruger National Park. It was only when JS listened and bought into the narrative of the trip and liased with their underwriters that we were able to procure a policy for him.

I contacted dozens of other companies and (somewhat understandably) received a flat no everywhere due to his age and activities involved. JS listened and I am most appreciative of that. Without their actions the trip would have been cancelled for all of us and it was a time which will hold special memories for all of us in what has been an incredibly difficult year.

I've taken out travel insurance several times with JS and they're very efficient at taking my money and sending the documents. However, this time I needed to make a claim after the airline lost my checked bag on the outward flight and the service has been appalling. It took them 20 days to reply to my emails, then I was transferred to their claims handlers Global Response (Trust pilot rating 1 star). For a simple lost bag it's taken six months, countless hours of work, dozens of emails, almost 100 separate documents and a complaint to the ombudsman to get them to settle the claim. Result? For my bag and belongings worth £1800, they gave me £213.

I've had mobile phone insurance with this firm since 2010. I now need to make a claim but their phone number no longer exists. How can I get in touch with them? Their website just takes me to travel insurance & they can't help me. £4.99 a month for 11 years & they can't be bothered to inform me about how to get in touch with them. I'm so angry!!

I took out travel insurance using this company and when I tried to make a claim
I was told by TIF group insurance (the underwriters) that they don't know this company. I tried to call JSInsurance several times and the phone was never answered. I then emailed JSInsurance and after a few days I got a standard response telling me to contact TIF group insurance. JSInsurnance was very efficient when taking my money but there is no after care once the money has left the account.

Great insurance company, very helpful when I took out travel insurance for my Everest Base Camp trek in April BUT they use tifgroup for their underwriting the policies and they are terrible. My flights were cancelled 48hrs before flying out and I submitted a claim, but the claims team don't read the information and don't response to emails.

An excellent company, they were quick to respond to correspondence and answered any questions that I had. Would recommend to others in a flash!

Quick and easy to use. Competitive prices too. Wish they would do an annual policy for a child though.
