I was unlucky enough to have my e-MTB stolen in London, but from the moment I filed the claim, Yellow Jersey were outstanding.
Kien took ownership straight away and went above and beyond to keep things moving. Communication was clear, calm, and proactive, and the whole process was surprisingly quick. They sourced a replacement bike extremely fast (within a couple of days) and even held it safely at their office until I returned from a trip, which really helped.
They also replaced my lock quickly once everything was approved, and when I collected the bike, Jonathan and the team were genuinely great friendly, professional, and they helped me get set up properly (including fitting pedals and setting the suspension sag for my weight).
Overall, a stressful situation was handled in the best possible way. Very pleased with the service and I’d strongly recommend Yellow Jersey.

I get the real sense that they are genuinely interested in making fair decisions (rather than trying to minimise payouts). Both claims were settled to my satisfaction and I was able to get back on the road without too much delay. Prices seems competitive and they offer reductions for loyal customers (even one who has had to make multiple claims)

This review cover the Yellow Jersey travel insurance product.
I have tried to claim under my policy twice, both, based on the policy wording should be covered.
I had 1 missed departure due to motorway incident & another for flight delays caused by Heathrow computer problems making me lose money on transport and accommodation.
I don't believe this is YJ themselves to blame, they use an underwriter called Gallagher Bassett who go out of their way to ask for evidence items that are almost impossible to produce. They also take months to respond to any queries and their portal is nearly always broken in some way.
Avoid their travel insurance, not worth the paper it's written on unfortunately.

I have insured my bikes with Yellow Jersey for 5 yrs. Don’t anymore. I had accidental cover on accessories, garmin& radar. The wording YJ use is misleading/ & should be re written in relation to the above. They would not pay out for a radar lost unless the bike was proven to be damaged. Ridiculous. The bike and accessories and separate parts of the bike.
You can come off a bike and no damage is possible!!!!
Also they are not competitive compared with others. Would not recommend to others.

I would have given 0 stars if possible. DO NOT BELIEVE THE OVER POSITIVE GLOWING REVIEWS. My only guess is these people have never made a claim. Having just had a serious spinal injury mountain biking I would never use this service again. Fact my total costs came to less than 1K. The payout I received was about £50 more than my insurance cost and excess. Yep you got that right. Thank God I had no serious hospital bills.
Do your research, YELLOW JERSEY DO NOT HANDLE CLAIMS. They use an underwriter named Gallagher Bassett. Gallagher Bassett then use a smaller company they own company called Claims Settlement Agencies Ltd. Does it all sound a little murky. Yep that's right. Expect stalling to get an answer, weeks of no communication, lots of paperwork to file and a call line that never gets answered. Check out the feedback

That's the company you'll be dealing with. Like everything else falling apart in the UK this is just another service that'll come up short and never deliver. Save your hard earned money and look elsewhere.

Bike insured with YJ for over 2 years. Stolen. YJ refused to pay saying electric locked garage door not covered and bike not padlocked inside the electric and manually locked garage door

I had a bike insured by Yellow Jersey that was recently stolen. It was parked in the underground level of a private residential garage, accessible only via fob-controlled electronic gates.
I secured the bike by the frame using a Kryptonite Evolution Gold-rated lock and cable kit, fastening it to a heavy-duty pipe. In addition, I used a Kryptonite Keeper Bronze-rated lock to secure the wheels.
On 4th July at around 5:00 AM, two thieves illegally entered the building, used a Angle Grinder, and cut through both locks — I have photographic evidence of the damage.
Despite this, Yellow Jersey denied my claim on the grounds that:
* I did not have the original receipt for the locks;
* I used the Kryptonite flex cable to secure the lock setup instead of placing the U-lock directly around the frame and pipe.
This was a private, secure garage. The bike was locked to a solid, immovable object using two high-quality locks, one of which was Gold-rated and visibly destroyed during the theft.
What else was I expected to do — hire a guard to watch the bike? What is the purpose of insurance if, despite following all the reasonable precautions, the insurer finds technicalities to avoid honouring the claim?
It's clear that with the Angle Grinder, they could cut Diamond, Gold, Silver or wherever. It's sad to see a company more focused on trying to blame me for the issue than analyse the situation. 2 Man invaded a Building with an Angle Grinder and cut 2 locks. It's not about what could I have done anymore, nothing could had stopped them.
