My claim wasn’t straight forward and I had to jump through a few hoops to begin with but I guess this was understandable given my circumstances. However, I was dealt with courteously and promptly and the handler was appreciative of my position and why I made my claim. This has now been settled in full and I am very thankful to Yellow Jersey for their support and assistance.

Fast responses, clear instructions and a swift resolution. Kian was really helpful and constructive through the claim. The company rules are a bit weird (wouldn't pay for the damage assessment because I got the workshop to do it before claim was settled - but then how do you know what to claim for without assessment???). But that isn't the claim handler's fault, that's a point for senior management.

I’ve been with Yellow Jersey for a few years now and have had bike and travel insurance with them. Their customer service is very helpful and quick to respond. After a recent crash I was involved in, they quickly resolved my issues and I was back on the road in no time! The tiers of coverage they provide really suit my needs (I have multiple bikes) and give me a peace of mind whilst out cycling.

I had to cancel a triathlon event at short notice due to injury. Part of my entry included insurance with Yellow Jersey. Their processing of my claim was excellent, with quick responses and clear explanations of what was required to resolve my claim. My bike was stolen from my flats and I was supported by Connor through the claims process, who was quick to respond and was very clear in his communication.
It was a very straightforward process - I had to send some evidence of purchase, evidence of lock used, police report and a couple of photos.
After having difficulties with another insurance company previously, it was such a refreshing and reassuring experience dealing with Connor and Yellow Jersey.
Highly recommend you use them for your bike insurance. As long as your follow the policy terms and conditions you will be completely fun.

Like many people I was initially dubious about whether to bother with a claim, but Yellow Jersey staff were helpful, from my initial phone call to check about what health documents were needed through to information about when to expect payment to arrive - communication was quick, friendly, kind and supportive throughout, and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly my claim was settled once it was in process. Very poor. Have been with them over a year. Policy auto renewed which was fine as felt reassured having the insurance in place. Not claimed once on the policy. However, after 15 months I no longer need the insurance as no longer have that bike. Phoned to cancel policy as can’t do that as an amendment online. Was informed I can’t cancel the policy and it will still run for the remaining of this year and will only be cancelled then if request this in writing.I was informed there is a 14 day cooling off period during which you can cancel the policy either when initially set it up or from auto renewed date but then can’t cancel until end of 12 months term. Have amended policy to lowest rate of cover of £250 from the £6000 was previously covered for for over a year but am still paying for £250 cover for a bike I don’t have?!.? Not sure where that fits with the FCS and am considering contacting the Financial Services Ombudsman for advice. Please be aware of this before consider policy with Yellow Jersey as I was not aware of this until now.

Would not recommend, go elsewhere!
I had only ever used yellow jersey for all of my bikes and only realised how poor they are when I crashed! I had the premium insurance on my BMC SLR_01.
I was in a bad crash which left my bike unrideable and tried to start my claim process to which I was told I will have to send my bike off for a carbon check that could last 8 weeks. I explained I have multiple trips abroad coming up and a lot of racing that this would be unworkable and they gave me the option of a £35 a day hire up to £500 (would last about 10 days and nowhere near the spec of my current bike). This isn't what you would expect from a bicycle insurance company, I had insurance so that situations like these could be sorted, not to be left without a bike to train or race on for 2 months.

Jonathan at Yellow Jersey has always been very helpful, responsive, quick-to-act each time when I filed a claim.
Granted, there was one time when the claim was unsuccessful (which was due to mechanical issues) but the other times that were from accidents, Jonathan was quick to send out the replacement parts.

Kien from Yellow Jersey has been fantastic throughout the duration of going through an accidental damage claim and I am incredibly happy with the outcome. He was prompt in his responses and very understanding all throughout the process even though I took a bit longer to get everything finalised for him.
