Generally, you only know if an insurance company is worth their salt when you have to make a claim. Yellow Jersey is a little different. I knew right from the start that they were going to be a good company. When you take out a policy with them you get a "DNA" security coding kit to forensically mark your bike(s) so they can be traced back to you if you are ever in the unfortunate position of having them stolen. They also send out regular newsletters giving useful tips, reviews, and suggestions on cycle holiday destinations etc. Having been a Yellow Jersey customer for several years, I was recently in the unfortunate position of having to make a claim following an accident overseas. The service I received from Jonathan and the rest of the claims team was truly excellent. The claim was handled very quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering taking out a cycle insurance policy.

Unfortunately I was no longer able to take part in my local marathon after testing positive for Covid and not feeling very well. Luckily I had opted in for yellow jersey insurance. I put in a claim to see if I could get a refund of my entry fee. After I had filled in my claim form I received an e-mail from Connor Peters, he was very helpful and prompt in his response. I have been happy and impressed with how quick the service was and for my claim to be accepted.

I recently submitted a claim to Yellow Jersey for a race cancellation fee. This was owing to an injury and being outside of IRONMAN's refund policy. The clarity and efficiency of the communication from Connor and Jonathan was exceptional and they agreed to cover my claim in accordance with all relevant documentation submitted and the Yellow Jersey Policy wording.
I honestly can't ask for anything more. Given the disappointment of having to cancel the race and trip to Marbella in the first place, as well as dealing with a painful injury, it's a noteworthy consolation to know my insurance honestly have me covered!

From start to finish Connor Peters was very easy to deal with. Let me know what I needed to do and processed it all very quickly.
With other insurers it feels like they will try and do everything they can to wriggle out when it comes to paying out, but this was great.

Yellow jersey put other insurance companies to shame by the simplicity and speed of the claims process.
I've made two claims with yellow jersey - one for my race bike and second for my commuter bike - and I cannot fault them for their help.
Making a claim is made super simple by filling out a short form and sending over a few key details. Their claims specialist that helped me (Sean and Connor on each occasion, respectively) were in contact in a few days and after a few emails, had done all the hard feast in organising and sending out all the replacement parts required for my commuter bike. I couldn't have been more impressed in Connor for organising that despite me not providing all the specific details of broken parts.
I was equally impressed with the repair process for my race bike which sustained two deep cuts into the carbon frame. After a simple process for the bike to be collected and checked out by their repair specialists. Yellow jersey organised the repairs which resulted in a frame looking so good, you cannot spot where the damage on the bike was. Incredible.
The whole process was easy, fast, efficient and very transparent.
I really can't recommend yellow jersey enough.

Simple and efficient claims process. When I broke my wheel on a pothole, Yellow Jersey sorted me out with a new replacement wheel and tyre. Pretty straightforward process, although the paperwork you have to supply (due to anti-fraud) is a bit onerous, but that isn't YJs fault.

Got injured just injured a couple of weeks before the Kalmar Ironman race. Withdrew and handed in my claim, got a swift reply with some relevant follow-up questions. No fuzz and money in the bank a week later. I could have saved another 25% of the entry fee if I had read the Ironman terms more carefully and withdrawn a couple of days earlier but I wanted my to have my medical certificate at hands (IM had an exception for the 2024 races, 7-days prior to the race instead of 45 would give you a 25% refund), hard to spot but my own fault and can't blame Yellow Jersey for it.

The claims process was very straightforward and painless following a minor crash. I had a named claims manager, Jonathan, who dealt with my claim swiftly and professionally and gave me several fair and clearly explained options for how it could be settled (part cash settlement and part replacement of damaged equipment). The process was completed in under two weeks. This was my first time claiming on any insurance and I had expected far more friction, but I am very satisfied.
Yellow Jersey invited me to leave a review following the conclusion of my claim but did not influence the content or offer any incentive.

Very pleased with service received following a theft from my e-bike. Claim process was simple and found myself dealing with real people who were knowledgeable and helpful. As the e-bike control unit was stolen from the handlebars, they offered to send me a higher spec unit with a removable display.
