Llama Travel organised our 3 week Peruvian adventure and we were impressed by the amount of detail they went into to ensure it was a holiday to remember. Our itinerary was customised to our needs and all our questions were answered quickly and completely. They work with a highly skilled and professional tour company in Peru (Condor Travel) and everything is again planned with military precision. A holiday to remember. Well done and many thanks.

We travelled to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands with Llama Travel. It was the best trip we've done anywhere in the world. The whole process from booking through to a follow up call when we got back home was excellent. The ground agents Llama used in Ecuador were superb too. I will be booking with this company again.

Very good holiday in Peru to do the Inca Trail. Flights and hotels all worked smoothly and were of good quality and our guides were friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Llama Travel.

Just got back from the extended Botswana mobile safari taking in Cape town and Zimbabwe. From the minute we arrived at Manchester airport, absolutely everything was sorted out for us by llama. We didn't have to do anything ourselves and everything ran so smoothly with absolutely no stress which meant we could relax and enjoy our trip. I can't recommend llama travel enough for the experience we had. We will definitely be booking with them again

We have just returned from a fantastic trip to Costa Rica, organised by Llama Travel.

The venues and hotels were outstanding. In particular one of the guides, Elyston Valentine was amazing and his knowledge on finding and naming wildlife was immense.

For our package we landed in San Jose, where we stayed for 2 nights. Then travelled to Tortuguero, staying in Aninga Lodge for 2 nights; followed by Arenal Manoa for 3 nights; Villa Blanca cloud forest for 2 nights; finishing off with 5 nights at the Hotel Parador in Manuel Antonio (we added extra nights to the last stop to have little beach holiday at the end of our travels).

We particularly enjoyed travelling and mixing with the other families choosing Llama travel. Aninga lodge in Tortuguero really encouraged us to chat and mix when it chose where you would be sitting for your meals and putting 2 or more families at the same table. This meant when we travelled to the next venue, we were all already chatting and sharing photos.

The team at Llama were quick to respond to all my emails and questions. When we found out, after we had booked, that our son (aged 16) has coeliacs disease and can't have any gluten at all in his diet, they were happy to contact all the venues and ensure there were suitable food options available.

Everywhere we stayed were really helpful with his diet and nothing was too much trouble. We have no hesitation in Llama Travel and hope to travel with them again soon.

My trip to Mexico was simply amazing. Had a minor hiccup early on as my baggage didn’t arrive on air Canada flight, so I was stressed but Luca and his team in Mexico were constantly in touch to help me. All thanks to Luca and Kathya, got my luggage back in time. After that, it was just flawless trip, amazing locations. Especially sumidero canyon, palenque, yaxilan temples. Knowledgeable guides, and on time service. Seeing Mayan sites was a dream come true. A memorable trip indeed. Defo plan to visit South America again with Llama. Thank you!!

We had been recommended Llama Travel by a Headteacher colleague who said their care and attention was second to none. Having booked a Peru trip pre-Covid the company moved on our booking, answered any queries and gave great advice to help us decide when best to go. We had such an amazing time in visiting two bucket-list locations of Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca and having high quality guides throughout. All hotels, transfers, flights and entrance tickets were handled for us and we will definitely be using Llama Travel for future trips.

We had a fantastic tour of Peru. Every part was very well organised and the guides and drivers were friendly,helpful and informative. We enjoyed our tours in the Amazon rainforest, around the towns and cities,up to Machu Picchu, across the Andes to lake Titicaca and on to Colca Canyon. All the views were amazing as was the sight of 10 Condors flying above us and into the canyon. Every part of this holiday was wonderful and I reccomended it to all my friends on our return.

My wife and I went to Botswana and Zimbabwe (for Victoria Falls) using a package curated by the team at Llama travel. We are experienced travellers, often making all our own arrangements, but decided that this particular trip would benefit from expert input. We certainly got that from Llama, who we had never used Llama before. From start to finish the communication was good, friendly and informative. Our various options were discussed, enabling us to have input into our travel schedules (number of nights at different locations) and accommodation choices. They subcontracted the safari portion of the trip to their nominated agent Letaka (see separate review on Trip Advisor) - who were clearly top notch also. Everything worked out better than we could have reasonably expected, and I cannot imagine a better overall experience than the one that Llama put together for us. I have no hesitation in recommending this company - you know that your travel plans will be in good hands.

Our first time booking with Llama Travel and they were excellent. We went on a family holiday to Peru with our teenage girls, 17 & 15 - perfect trip for them. Everything was really well-organised, Otto and Gary were really helpful in booking the holiday and answering all our questions in the lead-up to going. The hosts on the ground were very welcoming and helpful. The tour guides in the jungle and at Sacred Valley really went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable trip. It felt like we were visiting good friends who were showing us around where they lived and giving us insight into their lives, rather then being shown around by tour guides. Their care, attentiveness, enthusiasm and affability were exceptional. Our daughter had an ankle injury 2 days before we travelled and we arrived in the jungle to find our accommodation had been upgraded to make things easier for her - so incredibly thoughtful and made all the difference. We will definitely book with them again.

We booked the Incas & Conquistadors+Jungle trip to Peru with Llama Travel, the first time we had used the company...and the holiday was brilliant. The customer service was excellent and logistics on the whole holiday was spot on.
When a guide or representative stated a pick up time they were always there on time.
The jungle experience was everything we wanted. We stopped at the Hacienda Concepcion. The food was excellent! We stopped in a Cabana which is open but covered in firm netting and we did not find one insect inside our accommodation which delighted my wife! The guides on ALL our tours were brilliant!!
The village at the bottom of Machu Picchu is stunningly beautiful and Machu Picchu is...well breath taking!
A good thing with this trip is you had an option to book a trip or have a free day. I am a bird watcher so we had two free days one in Lima, one in Cusco and booked a taxi from the hotel to some nature reserves which was great for us!
So the holiday we booked with Llama Travel is an 11 out of 10. Great company!

This was our second holiday with Llama Travel. Excellent customer service delivered by Otto, Gary and Paige. Colombia Tour exceeded our expectations! The local guides and reps were super efficient and kind. Hotels and excursions were fantastic. Highly recommend this tour and the company!

The whole trip went like clockwork. All Llama representatives were friendly & professional, the guides in particular were brilliant. Faultless.

My wife and I travelled recently to Peru on a trip organised by Llama Travel. We absolutely cannot praise Llama highly enough. The itinerary was fabulous and everything went like clockwork - all the guides and reps were excellent.

Travelled to Equador and Galapagos Islands with Llama Travel in May. The holiday itself was absolutely the best trip of a lifetime and not only lived up to expectations but exceeded it. Llama themselves were so easy to deal with and all parts of the trip ran extremely smoothly. We were able to alter the itinerary easily and all staff gave great advice re choices and experiences to have.
We've already looked at booking with them again next year for Costa Rica, can't praise them enough!

From first booking our trip to our journey home our tour of beautiful, lush Costa Rica was perfect. Staff at Llama Travel were always available to answer my many questions (shout out to Gary Finnerty) and from our hotels, to our activities and transportation between everything ran like clockwork & we always felt in safe hands. We were a small group (3) so having our own tour guide (George) & driver (Marlon) felt like a very personal service. We did the Best of Costa Rica + Manual Antonio, a 12 night trip which we felt gave us a very good, if brief, snapshot of the true Costa Rica. Will definitely be booking through Llama again for our next big adventure.

Just back from a trip to Costa Rica. Apart from the fact that it wasn’t long enough, it was a joy to get to somewhere warm with abundant wildlife and gorgeous scenery. It had been on my to do list for a while and it didn’t disappoint. This was my third trip with Llama travel and everything went like clockwork, the guides and drivers were extremely attentive and pleasant. I would definitely recommend Llama Travel. And Costa Rica is a great destination but spend as long as you can there extend with extra days at Manuel Antonio at the end if you can!! The direct BA flight was a bonus!

Just back from our amazing trip to Costa Rica and from the moment of booking to arriving home Llama Travel has been exceptional. In the lead up to our holiday any questions or queries were met with quick and informative replies that made travelling with pandemic restrictions as painless as possible. Upon arriving in Costa Rica every guide and driver we had were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were all knowledgeable and excited to show us their beautiful country, always going the extra mile to make the trip that bit more special.

Had a fantastic holiday in Mexico arranged by Llama Travel. We stayed in Mexico City, Oaxaca, San Cristobal, Palenque, Merida and Riviera del Maya. Everything was well organised and efficient including the transfers and organised trips. The local guides were excellent, being both friendly and knowledgeable. Hotels were very good and well located. We had a brilliant experience of many different areas of Mexico, the history, flora and fauna as well as lots of inside information from the guides. Prior to the holiday we were well supported by staff in terms of travelling and the COVID restrictions. I would recommend Llama Travel to everyone.

I want to recommend without any hesitation LLAMA TRAVEL. Please do not look any further if you want a trip to Peru. I hope and pray when Covid situation calms down to be able to travel again with them.
We went on a trip of a lifetime to Peru on August 2019 - Incas and Conquistadors with Inca trail and Lake Titicaca.
It was absolutely wonderful and so brilliantly organised we felt like VIPs. The service from the office pre and post booking was professional and knowledgeable helping us to choose options that would enhance our experience.
From the moment we arrived in Lima until we left we were treated by everyone with kindness and brilliant efficiency. We had such confidence in the organisational abilities of the local team and were not let down. Llamas unique ability to customise their tours was fantastic and the local team delivered this without any problems.
We never do organised tours preferring the flexibility of booking our own holidays BUT Llama is not your usual tour company offering advice on customising their tours for you.
We met so many lovely people at various points in the trip who holidays overlapped with ours it really enhanced the experience.
Our 4 day Inca trail was fantastic - it was a truly remarkable experience led brilliantly by guides and porters. We loved every moment and made friends for life with our fellow trekkers. The sense of achievement in reaching Macchu Pucchu was so wonderful I will treasure these memories for ever.
We treated ourselves after all that effort to the Belmond train to Lake Titicaca rather than the all day bus journey. I am so glad we did! It was such a special journey - being treated like royalty - but in a friendly way where you were made welcome. It is the height of luxury and a contrast to sleeping in tent on Inca trail with a portable loo! But waking up after a sleep in a soft bed on the train and watching sunrise over the Lake was stunning, the food was wonderful and Pisco Sours flowed freely!
