We had our last trip with Llama in May visiting the amazing Uzbekistan.
From.start to finish everything was excellant.The booking process, the itinerary and tour information prior to travelling.Uzbekisran was an amazing experience, stunning architecture, history and people.Our transfers and travel by air,road and train all went seamlessly.We had an excellant guide who travelled with us throughout and we stayed in excellant hotels.We were even met by a Llama representative on our last night when we arrived back in Tashkent .He just wanted to say hello, check we had, had a good trip and he presented us with a little gift.
We have also used Llama to travel to Chile and Argentina,across Patagonia We also did the Grand Tour of Oeru last year.Tgey were all excellant.

Thanks to Llama for making our trip a lifetime experience! Our Incas & Conquistadors of Peru + Inca Trail was enjoyable, was relaxing, as flights, transfers, and hotels were well arranged. The guides were very good and I couldn’t fault any part. First time with Llama and just the beginning…..Great work to the whole team and their counterparts Lima Travels in Peru.

We travelled with Llama Travel on their Grand Tour of Peru in May/June 2026. I did a lot of research into various different tour operators prior to booking with Llama Travel, finally deciding to go with them due to all to their 5* reviews from previous travellers. Having now experienced a Llama trip for myself, I completely understand why they have so many amazing reviews!

Prior to booking, I had several conversations with Ben at head office, during which time he was at no point pushy, simply helpful about what a trip to Peru could entail, and the different options available.

A few weeks prior to our departure, we received not only our itinerary and tickets, but also a 46-page booklet which provided invaluable advice about the places we were due to visit – an exceptional service I have never before experienced.

Our trip was complicated, involving 10 different hotel stays, 3 internal flights, 2 lengthy train, and several lengthy road journeys – upon our arrival at each new area of amazing Peru, a local Llama Travel representative was there to meet us. All of our guides were friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area in question, and they even helped out at airports with tickets and labels for our bags.

My husband and I have travelled a lot, both independently, and with several other tour operators and I can honestly say that the level of service we received from Llama was nothing short of outstanding – at every stage everything ran seamlessly and perfectly according to plan, with knowledgeable, friendly guides who were not only present in person, but via WhatsApp when we had queries during our own time when they were not with us.

This was our first trip with Llama, but it definitely won’t be our last – everyone involved with our trip exceeded my expectations!

If you are reading the reviews and thinking of travelling with Llama, do it, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

This the seventh excellent holiday we have booked with Llama. As usual this trip, to Ecuador and the Galapagos was interesting, exciting and full of adventure. Llama are a quality organisation, always helpful and their holidays are very reasonably priced when compared to other suppliers.

Just returned from our trip to Peru and Ecuador including the Galapagos. First time travelling with Llama. It was perfect from start to finish, guides good and on time no huge groups and everyone so friendly and helpful

Our trip to Peru -Lima, Amazon forest, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Rio with add on to Lake Titicaca and Iguazu falls an enjoyable, relaxing as flights transfers hotels were well arranged. We have just returned from a wonderful trip to South America.
Trip was so well organised by Paige. She listened to all our needs and customised the trip accordingly. From the flights to flight transfers, hotels, local guides and local excursions all were great.
People are hospitable. Local guides spoke English well and were courteous,understanding and polite.Llama travel works well with reputable local
Travel agencies which is extremely helpful .
I have no hesitation in recommending Llama Travels for travel to South America and will be booking more holidays with them hereafter.

After much research, I remembered a lady I'd travelled with last year saying she'd been to Costa Rica with a firm called Llama travel, and how excellent they were. This was certainly my experience. I thought the choice of lodges/hotels were the most interesting of the tours I looked at. The service pre-holiday was outstanding - really detailed and helpful information, prompt responses by phone/email to any and every query and excellent on the ground representation. I was really impressed with every aspect of the holiday - from the meeting and greeting at the airport, the proximity of the first hotel (yay, after 18 hours travelling, only 10 minutes from the airport is a massive bonus), to the excellence of the guides. The age demographic was broader than on many holidays I've been on recently, (I was the second oldest, and quite a long way ahead of the rest of the members) and I liked the fact I could choose what I wanted to do and give myself time to recover from the long journey, without being harried from pillar to post. It gave me time to relax at the beautiful pools at the hotels and really enjoy the nature trails and experiences I did opt for. I would wholeheartedly recommend Llama to anyone visiting South America. As an aside, I brushed up my minimal and very rusty Spanish and found it useful, especially in the more out of the way locations.

Wonders of Japan,end Mar 2026. Cannot fault the organisation, all transfers were in place,,..we were put onto the bullet train and on arrival the rep was there waiting for us. Our fist guide, Nao, was first class, went above and beyond. Too many highlights to mention. It was our silver anniversary when we were there, we got an upgrade in the hotel and a gift of personalised chopsticks, both unexpected but much appreciated. An excellent trip all round.

Our holiday to Cambodia & South to North Vietnam was wonderful. The hotels were excellent & the tour guides were very knowledgeable & spoke very good English.
I would highly recommend Lama travel & would not hesitate to use them again.

We used Llama for the first time to book a holiday to Ecuador. Their service was faultless.

The tour of Peru with extensions in Brazil and Argentina was excellent value. The tours and hotels were of a high standard. For the majority of the trip, we had a guide and driver to ourselves.

Very well organised tour with extremely knowledgeable and helpful guides at all locations.

We went to Ecuador, with an overnight stay in Belvedere Cloud Forest and an 8 day visit to the Galapagos on board Archipel One.
From start to finish, Llama Travel and their travel colleagues in Ecuador were exceptional in their service. The whole trip ran like clockwork and we were looked after with attention to detail that was above expectations.
We would thoroughly recommend this trip and are still reliving it through our photos of the amazing wildlife. We even saw a spectacled bear and fed hummingbirds from our hands in the cloud forest. On the Galápagos, we were amazed at how unphased the animals were by our presence. We particularly enjoyed the snorkeling, including with turtles, sea lions and various species of shark. It was a very memorable moment when a group of hammerhead sharks swam beneath me!
Thank you Llama Travel for such a special trip of a lifetime. If we get the chance, we will return!

We choose Llama specially as a Small group tour provider but we had 28 !. The group were divided most of the time but some walks/ excursions were 22 or 28. The transport provided had poor AC and a non English speaking driver with no Llama Rep. A 4 hour trip was 9 hours due to long running road works and no advance warning or water.

My wife and I have just returned from 25 days touring S.E. Asia. Our 2nd holiday with Llama. Both have been outstanding.
We travelled to 4 countries with 8 flights in total, 9 hotels, 6 tour guides. It was seamless from start to finish and everything and everyone were top notch. The Llama "experience" commences from first contact when considering your holiday and I can not praise their team too highly for their professional, knowledgeable, patient, helpful and prompt input. Their holidays also represent great value.
It's almost certainly Sri Lanka for our next " major" holiday and it will be with Llama. They have proved to be exceptional and I thoroughly recommend them without reservation.

We contacted several companies including Llama Travel for a quote for Peruvian Jungle, 5 day Inca Trail, kayaking on Lake Titicaca, and visiting The Galapagos. Llama Travel was not the cheapest but gave the most appropriate schedule.
Our 28 day holiday was BRILLIANT! The experience of a lifetime. From arriving at Lima airport to leaving Quito we were cared for the whole way. Although we had free time for a couple of extra excursions, everything was arranged for us perfectly. The accommodation booked for us was really nice for the whole trip. The only time that there was a problem with transfer flight times, I was informed about it by Llama Travel and the schedule was adjusted without any input by me, everything was sorted.

Our holiday to Perú with Llama Travel was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organised, smooth transfers, great accommodation, and a well-planned itinerary made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. The guides in Perú were so knowledgable and friendly, we especially like Martín.😊

Have recently returned from a Cape Town and Garden Route holiday with Llama. And I only have praise for everyone involved in the organisation of the trip. Flights were good, hotels were excellent, excursions were well planned and first class and food was delicious.
And I have to give a special shout-out for our guide Gerry. He was outspoken (in a really nice cheeky way), informative, entertaining, friendly, funny,...... etc.! His knowledge of flora, fauna and geology was second to none! He really made our holiday and helped us to form a really good bond with everyone in our group. Do I have anything negative to say? Hardly! If I wanted to be really picky I'd say that the hotels we stayed at were so good that we would have liked to spend a little more time in them! And I'm not even talking about the upgrade package!
All in all a really good experience!
