I spent $85 USD on a bath and hand towel. They aren’t very absorbent and the hand towel is fraying a lot. I sent photos to customer service and they don’t care. After weeks of delay they replied stating that towels are a sanitary product and couldn’t be returned.

Tiny towels and they don't feel at all luxurious. I feel ripped off.

I bought 2 hand towels. One of the towels I bought began to unravel within days of receiving it. I reached out to the company for an exchange and they continually put me off saying they'd "resolve" this for me.

They delayed for over 2 months saying they were "asking their fulfillment team." After 66 days they still have not sent a replacement, or done anything to make this right other than waste my time. The little hand towel cost nearly $30, and will be used as a rag after falling apart. Truly unacceptable. The color strips don't work, the towels last less than a month before unraveling, and the customer service is atrocious. I believe they intentionally delayed responding to me so that I could not issue a chargeback through my bank. Terrible company, they shouldn't be allowed to continue operating and I'll be filing an FTC complaint as well.

They have a predatory "return" policy wherein they do not allow refunds or returns because it's a "sanitary product." Other companies have a satisfaction guarantee, this company will take your money and then waste your time trying to resolve issues with their terrible products.

Very lousy towels!!!!!! Can’t even absorb water. And the customer service is lousy

I paid my towels on 17th of July 2020. Not even shipped yet as of August 2nd 2020. Support is not responding. Where are my paid towels?!

Bought the 2 towel set. They are a bit on the smaller side but pretty absorbent. The strips don’t seem to work at all and when I contacted them they just told me they would change colors. Customer service isn’t very responsive and for the price of these I expected more.

I've bought the 2x Smart Towel Set encouraged by the marketing and the reviews. The delivery was fast and the checkout experience was straightforward. The problems started when I started using towels. I am a big fan of silver threads in products, used a lot of other products with this technology and I've been using Mizu as my only towels for a month now. Here are my thoughts:

- The towels don't feel as thick, soft, and absorbent as some other luxury towels. I realize that's a matter of opinion, but for that price, I expected better thickness and absorption.
- The towels shed lint RELENTLESSLY, which to me is unacceptable at this price point. I've given them an initial, cold water wash as instructed after purchase, and then another one after 2 weeks and there is still lint left on my face every time I use them.
- The silver content is questionable, as the label on each towel states it's 100% cotton. Other brands I used usually put their silver content at 1-7%, so you're reassured it's actually there (Mizu claims it's "nano-coating, but I don't have a lab to check this).
- The colour-changing strip is a gimmick at best, it works fine detecting detergent and shampoo, however using them after intense workouts to wipe off sweat mixed with sunscreen, the colour did not change whatsoever.
- Mizu claims the towels are "Quick drying" - I've tested them side by side with my regular towels and there was no difference in drying speed.

All in all, I cannot justify spending so much money for these. I feel extremely disappointed.

Product took 9 weeks to arrive. In fairness, company did respond to my emails, but it took at least a week to hear back from them.

Terrible towels! Misshapen after washing, not absorbent. Customer service is the worst.

This company is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with! Their customer service is horrible! After searching for high end quality towels I purchased a set of towels from them. Washed them by themselves before using. One of the hand towels edges completely unraveled! Contacted the which in it self was a nightmare. They refuse to replace or give me credit. I also filed a complaint with paypal much to my surprise they denied credit for the hand towel.
Do not buy from this company or any company who does not stand by what they are selling you!

Don’t buy this product. It is not made in Japan and the cotton is from forced labour in China.

The advertising for this companies towels' is very good, and that is where the good ends, the bad begins. At best this company is 100% rotten to the core and at worst downright lying to customers.

Point 1 is simple: The towels are not very soft, it certainly does not compare to bamboo towels or Egyptian cotton. Honestly, it feels no different than what I would get at a Walmart for $5 - $10.

Point 2 is harder to explain, but their customer service is ABYSMAL:

When I received my towels I was fined by Thailand customs almost $80 USD, because Mizu on the attached parcel invoice declared the shipment value to be worth $200 USD. While my invoiced amount was $170 USD (due to a coupon) and customs fined me for it being different when I went to pick it up. Import duties otherwise would have been around $15.

I let Mizu know about the error and the response was thus.

"Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry to hear that!
Unfortunately, all Shopify order automatically has the declare value based on the order, and customers are responsible for that, thanks. "

Absolutely unquantifiable verbal garbage from a customer service team that does not care and will not admit a mistake made or even offer sympathy.

It is strange to see such horrible customer service still persists in 2020.

Small towels portrayed as big and a refund policy that doesn't allow for refunds even if unopened or unused! Also they claim its all Japanese craftsmanship but it's made in China.
