Very disappointing experience with Orient Vacations.

I booked a return ticket from Sydney to New Delhi for 25 December 2026 to 10 January 2027 and paid approximately $2,100. At the time of booking, I was told that the ticket was flexible.

Now that I need to change my travel dates to July–August 2027, I have been offered only $495 if I cancel, or I have to pay an additional $850 to change the dates.

I checked the prices for the new dates, and separate tickets are available for approximately $920. This makes me question the actual value of the flexibility I was offered when booking.

I understand that airline rules and fare differences may apply, but these restrictions and charges should be clearly explained to customers before they purchase a ticket.

I am extremely disappointed with this experience and the financial position I am now in. I expected better transparency and customer service when spending $2,100 on a supposedly flexible ticket.

I hope Orient Vacations reviews this matter and provides a fair solution. I would advise other customers to ask for the exact cancellation and date-change conditions in writing before booking, even if they are told that a ticket is flexible.

Recently purchased overseas tickets for family. Staff member (Ben) was helpful and we promptly got our tickets.

I believe it would add to the experience if ticket confirmation is more instant and automatic as is with many other travel agencies. But overall, a nice experience.
