Better CAD software and fair price for it. I totally recommend it.

I am use to AutoCAD, it appears the same behavior

I am 74 and retired. I used Autocad from mid-80's until spring, 2009. Unfortunately, haven't used it in the last 17 years. Therefore, I can't say how close it is currently to Autocad. I can say my former experience has helped me immensely in learning ProgeCad with the terminology used with commands, settings, etc. I was just looking for an affordable cad program to help with household projects and that is what ProgeCad has been thus far. Now, if they could come up with an affordable Inventor, that would be cool, too!

This prgram is just like AutoCAD without the $2,000 / year subscription. All features are nearly identical.

I was disappointed that Dynamic Blocks was not
included with this upgrade. I purchased the upgrade
believing that Dynamic Blocks was present.
Otherwise a good 2d cad program.

I need a cad program for some simple drawings and progeCad more than does what I need. The price was great, the features are awesome! I have not gone through everything yet, but so far so good!

Simple and Straight Forward
progeCAD is a superior product that doesn't have to be leased. Sorry I didn't find it sooner.

I have used a different CAD software since the 1980s. I was convinced that it was the only way to go. When they only sold subscriptions, and my old version was no longer working, I had to find a solution. I came across progeCAD and did their 30 day free trial. After about 25 days I ran progeCAD through the paces of what I needed it to do and still had a lot of features I am just now utilizing. I decided to purchase the software and it was even 20% cheaper than the last version of the old CAD software I purchased in 2011.

The progeCAD software is so easy to use and their educational videos help so much. My productivity has increased dramatically. I can not thank progeCAD enough for the quality of their product and the fact that I do not have to sell my right arm to afford it. I have already recommended progeCAD to a couple of people who are looking into getting the software.

I was not happy that Autodesk treated me horribly after I had an electrical fire in my office and I lost the use of my version of Autocad. But you guys were great and got me up and running again. It is just like using Autocad without all the attitude! Thank you again.

Thank You for making an alternative to AutoCad, I was a long time AutoCad user since it began as a DOS version around 1995, ( Yes! 30+ years ago ). I owned various versions in windows where they gave you a CD and you owned the software for life. Then they got greedy and started the BS subscription nonsense and the prices jumped to most recently $2,225.00 per year just for the use of the Mechanical version.

I am a mechanical designer, and rely on designing 3D prototype parts to print on a 3D printer, I run a tiny company where I am the only employee and have a very tight budget, I cannot afford paying $2,225.00 per year just to change a few drawings a month and print a few plastic parts, it's just insane!!. Autodesk has cut their own throat by charging such crazy high prices. When I discovered progeCAD, I tested it out and found that I did not have to learn anything new! (i'm 62 and learning new stuff is a problem) I jumped at the chance to buy the progeCAD software right away. I immediately started making drawings and 3D models right away, and printing them from STL files that progeCAD exports just like Autocad did. You guys saved my business!!!, I can function normally again and make drawings and parts just like before.

I was used to AutCad, so it was easy for me to adjust to the progeCad commands

As a retired technician/engineer, I now dabble in crafts of various types of which drafting is one of them. I have been using a 2D package I bought years ago for my leather patterns, home & garden layouts, remodeling, woodwork, etc. but missed the few years (2006-2012) that I got to use AutoCAD. I wanted to get back into drafting and 3D modeling for my various projects including my recently acquired 3D printer but could not afford nor justify the expense that AutoCAD demanded. Free software just did not cut it. When I discovered progeCAD, I tried it with trepidation and did not expect much. I was thrilled to find the same touch, feel, and compatibility with my old AutoCAD files and as a bonus the software exports STL files for my 3D printer. I have been using it almost every day since I downloaded the free trial version and completely satisfied and thrilled with my purchase. YES, I recommend this to others just like me who want real CAD software at an affordable price. Thank you progeCAD. I really appreciate it.

The program is great for several reasons: you can create three-dimensional drawings in a practical way, and in addition to importing PDF formats, it also imports Excel, Revit, and more. Furthermore, the program's cost is affordable for more people.

This program is a fantastic fit for me. My employer is hesitant to undertake the move to the 21st century. I bought this perpetual license for myself and do not regret it at all. Smooth CAD transition and intro👍

I had autocad 2007 LT for years on my desk top and my lap top. both working although i didnt use the laptop much. microsoft decided to end windows 10 and my desk top was not compatable with 11 one issue was no tpm chip and the other was my C drive was very small ssd, i just had a little other than the operating system on it. but Windows said it had to be bigger too. I ordered a large drive cloned my old drive and installed it now i could not re activate my Cad. i had a little while before it kicked me off. and i thought i could just use the lap top. NOPE it too now would not work. I knew a friend had years back signed on with Prodge cad, and we had taken classes in autocad many years ago. He said he had very little trouble figuring out how to use it from his classes and it stored files and could open it the same format i had all my work stored in. my trial of the new Auto Cad LT was about to end and i needed it for a project i was working on, that really made me feel good because the new malti million dollar machine. the boots came off and spilled thousand s of pounds of carbon black. fine powdered carbon like the black on a oil lamp glass. i make many of the boots for the older machines. I was a hero for a few days. I am 64 and i ask if they had a senior citicen discount NO they don't. "really was just trying to save the money". Was hoping to use this a s a retirement income. need to give something up are i will soon be single again. but this Prodge cad seems to be The ansewer to my prayers I can edit my existing drawings and with some learning do new ones. i wish i could give a better review but all this happened during deer season. so i just got through the first 5 vidios of the learning and i will be able to play with the 3d witch didn't pay real attention too in class if you know you will probably never afford to have to play with. Inclooded with prodge cad cheeper price here. I liked drafting in high school paper and pincle t square eraser shield. rember playing with a sheet of Mylar paper and a ink pin you had ti fill with ink think i still have them different pin for each line weight. hent to the Illinois State champianship in drafting today what does that compitition look like. My lord how much better it was when i took my cad class. now they tell me you can 3D print from a drawing are plazma cut metal parts. havent got to play with that yet. but if i could just send a pattern to a cutting machine that could cut my CSM fabric. well probably not in this life. I ask my friend about his waterjet he said he might be able to but he would cut a stack between plywood which would be good for production but prototype should be a couple then 5 then if you dont here bad reviews 25 exc. 100 scrap and i am near out of buisness. think this is going to keep me in the game. Hope they offer a beginners corse @ Rend Lake Collage for beginners. if possable i would attend. on the fince let me give you a shove. we can make this work for our buisness. lets save some money.

It has not worked since I downloaded it. It crashes every time. Please tell your people to contact to fix otherwise I want a refund,

WORKS WELL WITH AUTOCAD WITH ADDITIONAL FEATURES THAT ARE BETTER THAN AUTOCAD

Excellent CAD program. Very similar to AutoCAD in virtually every way Exept the price. ProgeCAD is a bargain compared to AutoCAD. It would be great if there was a forum where users could share ideas. If there is one I have not found it.
Excellent program

Love the product and support. Been with Autodesk for 30 years and they treat me like dirt. This is the best alternative to ACAD and you don't have to pay an arm and a leg every year.
