AutoCad Has Always Been Cumbersome and Had to Much Data with it’s Program When Downloading…. Files Were Always to Big, Not Only to Download, But Also to Load to Begin Working with Specific Drawings, Along with Too Many Crashes, for the Need to Re-Cover Drawings All- the -Time!!!
AUTO CAD HAS ALWAYS REQUIRED TOO MUCH MEMORY TO RUN AS COMPARED TO progeCad….
Lastly, You Don’t NEED To Pay $1,000’s of Dollars to Have a Better Working Cad Program
With progeCad…. It Provides All the Tools Needed and Then Some to do the Job!!!

My experience so far is nothing but great. I love how my old file from AutoCAD works seamlessly.

The only thing that I notice sometimes is when I open my cad file, My Text seems distorted momentarily. But when I regenerated the file is okay. It could be my old drawings is corrupted. Other than that. It works Great and I love it.

My only wish for the company is to expand more tutorial on you Tube, to gain more user knowledge. at the moment it is only handful of them out there.

I can only give 5 stars 6 or 7 might be a bit closer.

Cost aside (which is always a big factor) the software works very well and seems to work wit little issues. I have been using for 5 weeks (30 days free and 7 after a purchase) and there are little issues.

All of the features seem to work well it is just a matter of time before you figure out all of the "little" things most of the commands are the same as the "other" software some are slightly different and you have to have a bit of a work around.

One thing that is easier with the other software is rotating blocks as you enter them. Since I enter multiple blocks that are the same the work around is simple you insert one from the block palette then use the block insert command (from the ribbon) and you can rotate each object as you input it. I very simple work around and works well.

After years of AutoCAD, ProgeCAD fits like a favorite sweater! All the controls are familiar, and there is almost no learning curve. Bonus, it's much more affordable! And for the 3D printer crowd it does DXF files.

So far I really love this software, and the menu and command structure, which is nearly identical to AutoCAD. And you can't beat the price!

Well, I've been away from ACAD for about 3 years. I'm sure I'll be happy. I always resisted the overloaded top ribbon. But that was true of ACAD, before even PROGECAD. I'm sure that with time, I'll have this set up looking more familiar. I did ACAD for over 40 years, and I never really appreciated the upgrades. I like that I could even go to pre Ribbon, but I'm not that bad. Note that it even included Express Tools, very nice. It's great that this program is mine forever, that's a big deal. Anyway, the program came, installed no problem, very nice. I just have to work on me. I notice that there are some lessons I can take, great! I'll do it.

Very easy to use

I use Autodesk AutoCAD at work at an Architecual millwork company.. My drawings are mostly 2D with a simple 3D rendering per elevation. I tried ProgeCAD, and could'nt be more happy with it, so I bought it!! The inter face is very customizable, and will be very familar to Autodesk users. All of the the commands I typically use are the same, Although I may have to type an extra letter. Example Dimcontinue: Autodesk+DIMC, Proge= DIMCO. It did take me a while to get a text I liked in paperspace, but once I did, the drawings look great. Some things I like better than Auto desk! Great software, especially for the price piont. If you are used to Autodesk, download the trial, you wont be diappionted.

Everything is good do for. Learning curve on few items.

I've used acad for many years and find using this software to be an effortless change. Very happy with the product.

More than I could have hoped for. Coming from AutoCad2000 and an XP box like driving a Model A to a Corvette.

The instructions weren't very clear. But they got me started. But after the initial step I had to figure out everything myself. Just to be clear, only the initial step was correct.

As a former AutoCAD user, I really liked how there was no learning curve in transitioning to ProgeCAD. The keystrokes, layout and commands were all familiar. I am pleased with the performance of the software. I took off one star because I had to email sales to get the unlock code 5 working days after my payment was processed. The delay seemed totally unnecessary and rather odd.

It is everything I was hoping for with the addition of 3D to learn! I used AutoCAD LT for several years and ProgeCAD is even better.

I love this product and the support staff are very helpful and respond very quickly to all my questions and comments.

I have been an architect designing custom homes for 30 years and have used Autocad most of the time. I started with release 13 back in the 90's so I am very familiar with the platform. Progecad is pretty much the same although with glitches here and there...... not quite as refined IMHO.

I still use Progecad over Autocad because of the perpetual licensing. I would like to see Progecad refine the platform a little better.

I have been using an old version of Autocad, and was unable to update. Price of new version is ridiculous.
progeCAD is an excellent replacement and reasonably priced. So far so good. It has everything that I need and more.
