Cardiff Greyfriars Road. Needed a central space as I was travelling to the Principality Stadium from a prior event. Cost was shocking (£35 for 6 hours) but accepted that as a price owing to supply and... Toon meer

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. Q-Park locations across London have serious safety issues, with cars routinely being broken into. The company shows little interest in addressing these concerns and instead makes stressful situations even worse for customers. Their response to security complaints is dismissive, and despite their claims, there is no effective on-site security. If you value the safety of your vehicle, look elsewhere.
Pre- booking but still no car park spaces!
You assume that if you pre-book and select a time, that there will be a space for your vehicle. Wrong!
I was unable to park at one of the Q-park sites as it was completely full. I even drove around the entire car park twice. We did phone customer services but they stated the car park facilities hadn't been 'over' booked, the car park was just busier than usual - work that one out? Prior to this experience I had always been a fan of Q-park. Not anymore! Pre book if you want to but understand that there is still no guarantee that you will have a space waiting for you.
Avoid Q Park Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow - not secure
Q Park advertise this as secure parking, however any member of the public can access the car park without a code through the lifts within Sauchiehall Street TK Maxx store. Not a safe area and very expensive parking. When I complained, Q-Park didn’t want to know. Avoid Q Park in Glasgow and use Glasgow City Car Parks, better locations and much cheaper, particularly in the evenings.
Zero ratings! Avoid, avoid, AVOID
I would give zero stars due to my experience but I'll give them the 1* star for how the car park is laid out and the space to maneuvere plus spacing.
Now let's start with the issues... I booked on the 10th May early morning till early afternoon (06:30am till 13:30pm) where I got back early but couldn't get out the car park as the gates refused to open for me and another driver... Nothing crossed my mind at the time...
I then booked 16th May to the same car park and same times but this time the gate opened but the barrier didn't... I called for assistance where I got into the car park as booked, came back around 12 (ish) so once again, an hour earlier and exited fine.
By the time I got home, I got an email saying that I've overstayed so they are taking £150 from my card.
I'm livid at this point... there is no contact number and all you are left to do is send an email via the chat forms (absolutely pathetic you can't speak to a human being).
I've contacted my credit card company to stop the transaction and now just waiting but what an absolute joke of a company to think/assume you've overstayed and take such a large sum of money without looking into things...
I won't be using Q Park again especially as we had a crap issue when I used their car park in Birmingham where they had zero notification that there was a marathon so when exiting, we couldn't and then was stuck for 3hrs so I recommend to avoid, avoid AVOID please!!!
Edit: I've been refunded for their mess up and thought I'd give them a second chance where now I've been stung twice... Booked from 6am till 2pm (8hrs stay). I got there 5:44am so a bit early than planned but left at 1:18pm so I left earlier... Guess what, I've been charged £2 for overstaying which makes no sense.
I know its only £2 but it seems they make up their own rules.
I left early so why would/should you be charged for overstaying and their response was because I entered early... I literally give up with this car park and will use Just Park instead of this joke!!
Absolute rip off
Absolute rip off, was paying £11 for parking, then saw an advert on the payment machine, saying download the app. Thinking this would make things easy I did, checked my bank when I got in and the charge was £21! When I challenged them they said no refund will be forthcoming, so app now deleted, and a warning to everyone be careful you don’t get stung by this underhand little scam they have going. 🤬
AVOID – Theft … and possible fraud > BE AWARE !!!
Double charged my credit card and refused to answer my calls and emails.
From talking to the staff at the hotel where I was staying (nearby), it seems this is not the first time this has happened.
Ended up having to get my credit card company involved, who reimbursed me.
**** In addition, a few weeks later, my credit card company contacted me today (13/05/25) to let me know that there had been some suspicious activity on my account. Now, I’m not saying it’s related – however, throughout my entire life I’ve (luckily) never experienced any previous financial fraudulent attacks.
It’s nice when people are understanding.
Danielle at Q Park Liverpool was really understanding when I needed assistance paying for my short stay in the car park. So helpful. Thank you.
Useless system that didn’t let me out of the car park
A couple of days ago, the system would not let me out of the car park. It failed to recognize either my licence or my QR code. I went to the service booth where there was a sign saying the person was on patrol and I should push the button to call her/him. I did so multiple times. No-one came. After about 40 minutes, I gave up and caught a taxi.
I complained and was told I was pushing the button wrong!
I contacted them and they said my booking was in order. The following day it wouldn’t let me out and I had to go through a whole rigmarole to be let out. On my return it wouldn’t let me in. Again, today it wouldn’t let me out.
The excuse given is that I initially booked with a Canadian licence but entered the car park on a UK licence. Yes, I booked with a Canadian licence and changed it, but that worked for the first week. When I took out another booking using only the UK licence was when the problems started. So customer services are desperately trying to find excuses not to reimburse me.
I wholeheartedly recommend that you avoid qpark as their system and customer service is appalling.
Do not park your car with these people.
Came back to find my car with additional scratches....they said that they were going to analyse the cctv images of when my car entered the car park...as the could not find evidences of scratches they could not tell if they were there before (so implying that I lied) and because they could not prove they just dismissed my claim!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY....I NOW HAVE MY CAR WITH ADDITIONAL SCRATCHES AND THEY ARE WASHING THEIR HANDS FROM ANY RESPONSIBILITY!! NEVER AGAIN! I will make sure to make them pay for my damages! This is not the end of this!
Booked 20:00
Booked 20:00 - 11:00 the next day online. It said I would have to buy a 24 hour ticket for £26. I thought that was expensive as I'm only staying 15 hours but I would pay anyway and I have the luxury of leaving a bit later if I wanted to.
I left at 12:30 and got an email charging another £6 for 2 hours from 11:00-13:00
I contacted customer services who said although I bought a 24 hour ticket I don't get to use the place for 24 hours. So I've paid for 26 hours of parking and only used 16:30 hours. Q park is an absolute scam!
Car Broken into.
Paid over £180 to park my car in a secure car park at Soho Q-Park, arrived to collect it and the rear window was smashed. A note was left on the window screen saying your vehicle has been in an incident, NO contact was given and no one informed us via email. We will be pursing legal action as this car park is meant to be secure and covered in cameras. While removing the broken glass and calling the police we was aware of guys riding push bikes on different levels which clearly shows no security is present. One of them came to our car and on seeing us rode of very quickly.
On reading many other reviews this car park at Soho has cars broken into on a daily basis.
Never again
Only 1 ticket machine working for departures, long queues to pay, only 1 exit open, the other was closed, queues of cars waiting to exit, the only open barrier seemed faulty as several cars took over 5 minutes each to get the barrier to raise and expensive, almost £2 per hour midweek!!
Go elsewhere to park
Chaucer Street car park
Chaucer Street car park - Nottingham. Fiona was so helpful when my 80 year old mother could not locate her pre booking email. Fiona helped her to park on proof of registration and was very patient! Excellent customer service!
Absolutely shocking company
Absolutely shocking company, they are okay to take your money when you pre book but then when you have a problem with your booking and need to cancel they won’t refund and are not at all helpful and customer service are horrendous! I would never ever recommend or ever use them again. What a shower of s… of a company. Robbing thieves
Q-Park at Liverpool One
Q-Park at Liverpool One. Easy to find off the Strand arriving but went downhill, terrible signage inside to find lifts, wanted to get back on the Strand for the Travelodge. Most lifts not working. Ended up in the shopping centre and long walk round down multiple steps with suitcases.Did find an entrance low level by the Hilton when we were departing but on trying to enter we had no card as prepaid online so door wouldn't open but got in when someone left. Next time IF there is one we will go down the ramp for car exit on the Strand and go round the barriers.
Car window smashed and laptop stolen
Car window smashed and laptop stolen. Avoid!! After reading reviews this is a common occurrence.
Witnessed people being let into the parking by saying there ticket wasn't working without having to provide any prove they were parked there.
Just another scummy criminal parking…
Just another scummy criminal parking company...
APPALING
APPALING! It is embarrassing that such a company can requiere premium prices for services - £31 - for less than 3 hours - advertising themselves as award winning with super quality services -only to deny any responsibility in regards to their duty of care when the advertised security measures failed. My car was broken into - backpack stolen( mind you it was not in sight) and my window has still not been fixed since the 12th of February. They refused any form of efficient communication - providing me only with standard- automated-like responses - and when I called the number recommended - I was told this is customer support - and since this is a complain - the only way I can communicate would be through emails. They refused to let me know why my parking card was retained at exit - and also to share the CCTV footage with me. They have only advised me to claim any damage with insurance - so that I can deal with the premiums myself later. The way I was treated - appalling! The main answer - was this is a public space - we assume no responsibility - regardless of the cameras or barriers they advertise! Needless to say, I was not the only one with a broken car that night! IT IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC THAT SUCH SERVICE PROVIDES ARE ALLOWED TO ASK PREMIUM SERVICES FOR LOCATIONS THEY ADVERTISE AS PRIVATE AND SECURE - ONLY TO DENY ANY RESPOSABILITY AND REVERT TO "IT'S A PUBLIC SPACE! ACCEPT IT! YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE!"
Well done Kieran
Absolutely customer service at its best. Kieran was polite, professional and a gentleman. Thank you for your help.
I had my car broken into at this car…
I had my car broken into at Burlington Qpark last May. After taking the company to small claims court, I was awarded full compensation for all damages and losses incurred. However, it took a court warrant to compel them to make the payment. I strongly recommend that anyone else affected by similar issues with this company pursue legal action to recover their losses.
