What can I say apart from amazing 🤩
RAC took 6hrs to decide they couldn't get to me by this ime in was 11pm.
They passed the job over to Richford Motor Services and within 30 mins they were with me.
Super helpful and friendly. Thank you so much for all your help ☺️

I was passed to this company through green flag, following a breakdown. They didn't arrive when they said, and when I contacted them they said they might not even be able to pick me up. Clearly they take bookings from green flag they can't fulfil. I went back through green flag who sent Roy's autos, who were there in an hour. I could have been home 4 hours earlier if this company hadn't high jacked my breakdown

Called at 6pm as hire car broke down, everyone we called to ask where they were they were “delayed” this went on for over 6 hours.
politeness of staff varies depending on who you get, would not recommend this company at all - poor communication and service 6 hour wait is ridiculous.

Amazing service in a stressful situation.

Dave - our mechanic / driver was fantastic, recovering us from Lincolnshire to our repair point.

Put us at ease with the situation and was friendly and professional throughout.

Absolutely a lying company they are contractors to nova breakdown services and I am unwell individual with a tumour in my head they have given false promises for a recovery since 6.30pm it is now 11pm I am running out of my medications and missed by injections it is freezing my levels are dropping there adviser started to raise his voice at me lying to me that the driver has been stuck in Sheffield then in Darfield to get to me in Westgate Barnsley. Then at 10.30pm he said the driver is putting his boots on and coming out from Darfield what a load of crap lying to someone vulnerable unwell

Brilliant service from start to finish. This was offered to us through Green Flag, Richford Motor Services arrived earlier than expected, which was a huge relief, I didn’t get the gentleman’s name who dealt with us but his customer service was excellent. He was efficient, professional, and friendly throughout. The tyre itself had been replaced by a garage the day before, and when it needed to be refixed the following day, everything was handled quickly and smoothly to get us safely to the garage. Overall, a very positive experience — reliable service when you really need it. Highly recommend.

I had to call green flag out as I hit and curb and my tyre blew. This was passed onto Richford motor services to come and collect me. I put a call in at 9am on a Tuesday morning….thinking I would be there all day as a blown tyre wasn’t important and I needed a loader to move my car. I was kept up to do date with the progress of the person coming out by text which was brilliant and then I got a call from Jamie T to say he was almost with me….under 2 hours!

Really quickly Jamie put my car on the loader and drove me to my chosen garage.

I was thinking I was a complete idiot, wasting his time for a blown tyre but Jamie was brilliant. Saying it was only a small thing and happened all the time. He chatted to me the whole time and just lovely, not once did I feel uncomfortable or patronised for what I had done/being female. I would highly recommend this company and especially Jamie T

Green flag, has again been a god send Richford motors a second,on arrival, which wasin the prescribed time, Kile from Leicester asked what the problem was got in the cab of my motor home turned the ignition diagnosed the problem, what a performer, shall never forget him, up opn the low loader and away to garage half an hour, this is service and with such a great bloke thanks mate for your help on the day ken field

Follow on from review dated 12 November 2025.
Found a garage which offered a repair slot about 9 weeks ahead. Contacted Richford Motor Services and spoke with Phil, the owner, regarding moving the motorhome to the repair site on the allotted day. Phil said that Richford was able to carry out the repairs in the following few days. Accepted!
Motorhome collected by recovery vehicle. A few days later received a call from Richard, the mechanic, with a detailed explanation of the work he carried out. I asked if an engine service could be added. No problem, work carried out within a couple of days.
Vehicle which now runs smoothly and quietly. Repair bill was acceptable and competitive against mainstream dealer prices.
Richfords have a wide range of skills and can tackle any repair or service The level of service I received was way above expectation. They will be my first call for future work on my motorhome

Was waiting for 8 hours missed work due to them. Got given 6 different times and still haven’t arrived at 2:38am but booked recovery 18:52

Reported my breakdown to RAC who subcontracted to Richford Motors last Friday and was given ETA of 2.30pm for patrol to recover my vehicle to main dealer. Patrol recovery didn't turn up and said they were extremely busy but should be with me at 4pm last Friday they didn't turn up so I called them and they said they were extremely busy and won't be able to recover my vehicle until Monday morning. Come Monday no one turned up it is now 11am so I called I waited 4 hours no one showed up called so I called again this time I was told patrol will be arriving at 3pm so again I am waiting no patrol guy and is now 4.00pm. Called again this time I was told probably arriving in 2 hours by that time the dealer will be closed so my car will not be recovered until tomorrow now extremely frustrated and furious about Richford Motors ability to deliver service. Steer away from doing any business with this incompetent company!

If the AA contract these cowboys for a breakdown, demand they use another reputable contractor instead. They constantly lied to me and the AA and left me stranded for 6 hours. In the end I had to get AA management involved who got me a taxi home, I had to abandon my car. I hope they lose the contract with the AA.

For Steve who came and rescued two young women tonight (18-19th Nov ‘25) in a black Audi A3 near Lincoln - you absolute legend! I am so so grateful for your help after we’d been abandoned four times from 8pm - 1:30am. Excellent service and support, thank you!

RAC let me down, tow referred to Richford. My Q3 car was on my drive and wouldn’t start, Steve was brilliant managing to move the car and load it. Above and beyond.

My daughters car broke down on the way home from work and ASHLEY attended. He was very polite, helpful, and professional. Just what is needed when your stressed about your car. He suspected a major fault and recovered the vehicle to our home due to the late hour(no garages open). He is an asset to the company. THANK YOU

My car broke down today and I used Greenflag for recovery to a local garage.
Greenflag arranged for my recovery through Ritchford motor services and it was my great fortune to be assisted by Steve Brown.
Steve was polite, professional and reassuring. He completed the diagnostic checks with obvious expertise and explained what the problem was with my car. He then took myself and my vehicle to my garage of choice.
What a great guy and a great service. Thank you Steve and thank you Ritchford.

Last Friday the RAC let us down badly. After waiting 8 hours for the RAC arrive I received a message that they were calling in a contractor to attend to our breakdown, they sent out Richford Motor Services, they arrived the young man Alex was the attendee.
Being nearly midnight Alex was very professional and caring, he carried out the recovery with great efficiency and friendliness. Thank you.

Jason from Stoke (Stafford) branch was the friendliest guy. We really appreciated his advice and conversation. We were tired and had a long day and an awful experience of breaking down at a busy junction. But after being in the back of his warm cab on the hours or so journey to Derby Depot, we felt relaxed and able to carry on to our home using the car which was provided by them. We were on a bit of a time schedule, but Jason got there before the office closed, so we were very grateful for his effort.
We also would like to thank Jason from the Derby branch as he was such a relaxed and friendly driver, really knowledgeable and didn’t rush me at all.
These employees in my opinion are a credit to your company and good ambassadors for you.

What a great company, I broke down at 2.30am on the m1, was on my own so had a panic. Got recovered firstly from Nigel to take me off the motorway to the services as I had traveled from 5 hours down south, Nigel very knowledgeable and a very polite friendly guy. I was then picked up by Dave and he drove me and my car 5 hours back down south, again very knowledgeable so so polite and genuinely a lovely guy made me feel so comfortable I couldn't of asked for a better company all round to tow me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH 😀
