Dreadful company
Dreadful company, there's no communication, they book appointments without asking then report to the housing company that you've purposely ignored the door, then tape over your key hole to show everyone you aren't in going past, wonderful when you're on holiday!.
All this was done 3 months early for the yearly gas check. Then when I tried to change the appointment they made without asking for the second time, they refused to cancel and said it's in their contract so they will have to turn up and tell the housing I'm not in even when I'm trying to change a week before the app.
Eventually when the gas man turns up he turns up on the school run which you have written don't and is rude and miserable.

Very Friendly gas engineer
In terms of customer friendliness this gas engineer was far the best that visited my property and communicated that everything was satisfactory regarding the gas safety check. A text was sent approx. 20 minutes before arrival time which was in the time scale as scheduled.

Left my vulnerable nephew with no hot water for 3 days. Then turned up a day earlier than the appointment they booked, nobody was home so they cancelled the job altogether and made him wait longer.
I rang and told them I was disgusted and my nephew was very stressed but no one cared

Good heating technician: company communications bad.
The heating technician, Andrew, who did the service on my heat pump last Friday was excellent: quick, helpful and gave useful information.
However, timely and accurate communication with Daikin Service, and with me as the customer, needs to be sorted out. Daikin service told me to expect the technician to arrive and do the job between 1:00 and 6:00pm on Friday 25th September. So when I got back to the house just before 11:00 am and he arrived within a couple of minutes, that was just good luck. There had been no advanced text message saying he was on his way. He completed the job and left shortly after 12:00.
That evening, at 17:00, I got a text message saying: "UPDATE: Just to let you know, your heating technician Andrew is on their way. You're their next stop! See you soon"
(I suspect that this delayed and so unhelpful text messaging comes from Daikin Service, as I still have on my phone an identical message, allegedly from Robert Heath Heating, received at 4:26 pm , also after the technician (different technician and servicing company) had left after completing the job on 27th October 2025.)
