I'd booked a holiday with Sunrise Direct when an external issue entirely unrelated to them or me meant the holiday could not proceed. They dealt with the situation extremely effectively. Their communication was excellent, timely and accurate. They were hugely apologetic (although it wasn't their fault) and the options they provided were more than fair (ie. a discounted alternative holiday or full refund). In this case I chose a refund and the money arrived back in my account the following day. This was followed by an apologetic and explanatory letter clarifying everything and offering me a discount on any future holiday booked with them in the next six months. I was very impressed with their cancellation process, empathy, communication, and their offer of a discount more than surpassed similar unprompted recent holiday cancellations with both Lochs & Glens and Riviera Travel. Neither of whom generated any goodwill for any potential future transactions with them. In short, I was very impressed with Sunrise Direct and their staff. Thank you.

Everything from booking to coming home was the best Coach tour out of EIGHT my wife and I have been on.Hotel Norfolk in Weymouth was really clean and the food was excellent. Staff too were lovely and would not hesitate to recommend and/or return one day.
Driver too was efficient and friendly.

Just back from a coach trip to Blackpool.
Local pick up, comfortable coach, helpful driver, excellent value for money, cannot fault the service at all.

Not a great first time experience- Really disappointed in the hotel , Ashley court hotel Torquay is in no way fit for purpose.
Absolutely Filthy Dirty rooms.bathrooms are covered in black mould.Management are awful to deal with in this hotel , appalling attitude towards guests .

Guest moved to another hotel after finding the bed had bed bugs , food was great as were the waiting staff, and coach driver .. unfortunately I’m completely put off booking with this company in the future .

We have just come back from trip to Bolton ladt drop village hotel,trip very good especially train journeys, Mark the coach driver lovely, very patient as had a lot of people that had a moan,love to have him as driver again, hotel lovely staff helpful

My holiday was ok until I got back to Cambridge to find out are feeder bus had gone with our all the people to go back to Norfolk like Caister on sea.

I was ment to be pick up at 8 pm but did not get back until 10.30 pm what a way to treat people.
I will never go with sunrise again.

It was so easy to get booked, every one we spoke to was very helpful. The only downside was the feeder bus on the way home, we had to wait quite a while before it was sorted, but were kept informed at every stage and the staff did everything they could to make it easy. Top marks to them for all their hard work.

Good holiday , wonderful hotel,driver let it down also food as good but basic

Helpful coach driver who explained all the tour details and other helpful comments. Helped load my partners wheelchair into the hold.
Nice hotel near beach food good and entertainment some evenings.

The hotel was very tired and dated. Very unclean. I found an employee of sunrise when we had a problem on return journey very stressful and very rude. In fact the way he treated a passenger was totally unprofessional.

Very good holiday. Derek the driver was excellent, very polite, very knowledgeable. Hotel was acceptable. Overall experience let down by poor coordination on return journey and excessive time delay at Cambridge services

A 4 hour feeder coach journey with no break and 6 stops before getting to the tour coach. This was ridiculous and unexceptable. We will not ne using your company ever again.

Coaches very comfortable, both drivers pleasant .
Hotel we were at was superb as usually hotels with coach Companies are a bit run down.
All excursions were very good.

Driver didn’t know tour route, followed phone to find way from car park to destination making a walk of almost a mile…2 passengers with walkers for mobility issues very distressed

The outings were very good as was the driver. The food was very presentable, but the room was a disappoint meant. There were no drawers, the side ledges on the headboard were to small and there wasnt anywhere to dry the bath towels

How the problem at Cambridge was caused regarding walker problem which caused a problem getting to Weymouth very late as an coach driver think could have been dealt better

As usual the holiday well thought out. I would’ve preferred more time at the Iron Bridge Gorge. There was only just enough time to walk from the coach to the toilets and then take a couple of photos. There was no time to explore or look around. The time at the museum was a bit too long.
My other complaint was the hotel, there was no midweek cleaner visit, so the bins weren’t emptied or the hospitality tray replenished, I had to bring teabags and milk up every day from downstairs.
The coach driver was very good, it was his first time.

A five day break to Eastbourne staying at the New Wilmington Hotel for the first time.
Great location.
Lovely friendly hotel,great staff and brilliant meals.
All excursions that I chose to go on were good.
But,please Sunrise remove the excursion to Royal Tunbridge Wells.
A struggle for people with mobility issues and nothing there of interest in the time we were allocated.
Most of us ended up having a coffee in the supermarket.
Also no help with our suitcases so a lot of people struggled up the stepd and stairs.

First time travelling with Sunrise. Everything was excellent, the pick up and change overs went smoothly. Driver very friendly and helpful. We throughly enjoyed all our visits, we were given sufficient time in each place. The only downside was the food at the hotel, a bit hit and miss. (there was obviously a shortage of staff) also the decor in the hotel was very tired.
