Bought a B grade laptop however there is an issue with the laptop. Have raised it as an issue and waiting for customer service to respond.
Great if the transaction is straight forward. Awful when it’s not.
Bought two of the same refurbed laptops for work around Xmas. Only saving £100 or so on a £500 cat B laptop unless you have a discount code but it’s better for the environment.
Managed to get 20% discount over xmas.
Laptop 1 was a success, laptop 2 arrived locked into the previous companies mainframe log in.
Collection arranged (effective but unnerving as your proof is a blank barcode and mine didn’t track) replacement refurb sent out.
Laptop attempt 2 , spent ages setting it up, went to plug in my usb and it wasn’t possible. The usb port was bent and the inner locking metal raised.
The same laptop had sold out and they couldn’t recommend an alternative so they gave me a refund with the promise of 20% off.
I don’t know anything about computers and got authorisation and the laptop picked through management in the first place so I was reluctant to choose another type.
The laptop is back in stock but I’m only able to buy it with a 15% discount using the available code. I’ve been ringing every few days to find out how I get my discount, can’t even buy the computer at the price I originally paid for it.
Everyone is friendly, nobody gets back to you. Got passed around different departments today on the phone and I’ve had enough. It’s embarrassing now how much I’ve begged to give them company money and put up with my old dying computer to try and complete this transaction.
Running the order back through management and ordering new elsewhere.
Really frustrated by this company.
Been more than patient and understanding, offered them so many chances to offer a basic level of customer service.
You need to do better!

This is the third laptop I have bought from Tier1 for my family. Never disappointed. Easy to navigate the website, easy to buy, delivered within 48 hours, exactly as specified.
I just bought an "a Grade" HP Elite book for £800 less than market price. I don't think it has ever been used. There are some light scuff marks on the top cover. Screen and keyboard are perfect.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a laptop nearly 2 weeks ago and said it was shipped on Shop. To top it off, kept getting emails to leave a bloody review! Had to chase THEM for an update as the shop tracker had not updated for days and delivery said 3-5 days. When I called on Monday, I was told by a lady that she would look into it and would call me either same day or next day (Tuesday). Nothing! Called again on Wednesday and explained what had happened again. Then was passed into another lady in the same call and had to explain AGAIN (why wasn’t the info relayed before transferring me over? Why add frustration to an already stressful situation?). She promised to call me the next day as she had to check stock. Surprisingly, called back promptly today but unfortunately with bad news – the product I spent ages researching was out of stock. WHY WASN’T I TOLD THIS 12 DAYS AGO?! DO YOU JUST WASH YOUR HANDS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE YOU GET THE MONEY?!
And of course, you could say that I should have contacted after a few days but let’s face it this is not my responsibility. As a company that survives on sales and good reviews, this is something you should do. My failure of not contacting you does not take away the fact that your systems are broken and your customer service is poor!
In addition, the laptop that I found elsewhere when deciding to go with Tier1 is now sold out. So thanks a bunch! So now on top of an upcoming wedding to prepare for and my late grandmother’s funeral to arrange, I have to now look for another laptop which I needed ages ago. CHEERS!
By the way, I don’t usually leave reviews but guess what? I received another silly automated spam email asking me to review a product I don’t have… the straw that broke the camels back indeed!

I had a horrible experience with Tier 1, I made an order for a laptop on their clearance sale, got a great laptop grade A, i7, 11th gen, 16 gb ram... I called up asking about the chargers, and if they could give me a type c charger (since this model could work with 2 different types of chargers), the lady was clueless and said she will find out and get back to me... She never got back to me... Afterwards, it had been 4 days no word of delivery since I ordered... I called up and they said they actually made a mistake and that laptop is not in stock, so they offered a pretty much identical laptop but grade B... Naturally I needed a laptop so I accepted... Laptop arrived next day, had a major issue where screen flickered/blacked out at a certain angle... Naturally, very disappointing I informed them they offered a replacement of a completely different laptop which is significantly inferior, i5... And when I didnt accept said you can have a refund and 20% off... Despite their laptops being thoroughly checked and serviced, this is the Quality of their laptops... Absolutely horrible service atleast in my experience... They have laptops similar to the spec I ordered but they are too greedy to offer them as a replacement...

Purchased a grade A laptop, got a notification that it had been despatched, after a few days it hadn't been delivered, emailed a few times and got no response so rang up, promised a call back,which didn't happen,sent another email and finally got a response to say the laptop was faulty so would send another one out, a few days later still not received my laptop, rang up and was promised a call back which didn't happen,emailed again and a few hours later got a reply the 2nd laptop was faulty and would be refunded.
So on their website they are advertising stock which has been fully refurbished and in working order, is obviously a lie as it appears the stock isn't checked until they receive an order and your money.
Very poor experience and won't be going back for anything
