Bought two items from the website

Bought two items from the website, I have been trying to return them for weeks. The items didn't fit and were butt ugly. I have been trying to return them for three weeks. I started the return online and was told to print the packing slip. The link took me directly to the website and I was unable to print a packing slip from there. I have made multiple phone calls to them. I called and was promised a packing slip and a shipping label. I have spent approximately 2 1/2 hours on the phone and was finally told today that unless I was a VIP member I wouldn't get those things. Although the reps and the supervisor were very pleasant, I would never, ever, purchase any product from them. Horrible experience.

Sorting and Emailing vs Phone Customer Service

I am a new customer to Torrid but my daughter shops all the time so I wanted to give it a try. I ordered 2 bralettes on 9/02 and received my package 9/06! What a pleasant surprise! Then I opened the package and found one bralette I ordered and a size 6x Tshirt I didn't order. I sent an email to customer service and received an answer back the next day to contact them with the sku# so they could see what item was sent in error. I took a picture and emailed a reply back to them but did not receive an answer as of this morning 9/12 so I called. When I called I explained my situation and was transferred. Abigel was awesome about listening to my problem and understanding my request to send me my missing bralette if they still had one instead of refunding. What should I do with the Tshirt? I didn't want to pay shipping back something I didn't order, and I couldn't wear it. I would send back the Tshirt for a shipping label or credit on my account for shipping. She found that the bralette was in stock but she needed approval to ship free if I wasn't paying shipping for the Tshirt to be returned to them. She contacted a supervisor and kept me on hold- checking in with me from time to time which was excellent! The supervisor would not give me a credit. She wanted me to pay $6.39 to return the Tshirt. I didn't want them to charge me for the Tshirt and they had to in order to send the bralette. Abigel kept coming back to me with the information calmly and in a professional but friendly way. I could see she understood the irony of the situation. Finally, I told her to tell the supervisor I would just take a refund and she could try to get the Tshirt back. She finally agreed that I could keep the Tshirt and not pay shipping for my missing bralette to be sent. I thanked Abigel for her steadfastness in fighting for the customer. The products I have seen my daughter purchase from Torrid has all been modern at a good price. I hope they turn their problems around. It is hard to find these products for us curvy women.

I’ve ordered twice with Torrid online and that’s it, I’m done!

I’ve ordered twice with Torrid online. It takes forever for the items to arrive. I try to return items to the actual store in the mall but they randomly are temporarily closed. I ended up return by UPS as they require but it takes several weeks for the return to reach them and then who knows when my card will be refunded. I placed an order today and tried to cancel it immediately. That’s not an option. They won’t let me exchange a pair of shoes I bought on sale that have never been worn. Im done with this company.

Cant cancel the order?

Purchased $80 worth of bras, well my fiance did. Called torrid to inform them that the address we had used was the incorrect one. They told us we would not be able to change or cancel our order since it had been placed. disregard the fact that they said it would take up to 14 days to ship out, but not even being able to cancel the order? I don't get it. Spent 30minutes or so on the phone and finally got a supervisor on the phone and they were able to cancel our order lickity split. Thank you, Rihanna, for being able to help us. Torrid.... you may need to revamp your customer service department. She seems like a good candidate.

I bought a bathing suit on 7/28 and…

I bought a bathing suit on 7/28 and paid $93.73. Looked online at it Sunday, 8/7 and it was down to $43.80. I guess I'm asking a lot but I ask them to reimburse me the $50. I was told no. I tried to do this online but when I put my email address it said it wasn't found. I have a large amount of emails from them. Funny thing when I want to contact them they can't find it.

Terrible Customer Service

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. After waiting to talk to someone for over 15 minutes, I finally was able to talk to someone. I placed an order as a gift with joggers and a matching jacket. Joggers were cancelled by Torrid for lack of availability and they refused to cancel the jacket indicating that they could not make changes to the system after an order was placed. Now I am stuck with half a birthday gift. Absolutely crazy! I will never shop Torrid again.

Website and quality is a crapshoot

I've placed two orders with Torrid since hearing about them, and I won't be placing a third. I appreciate that they have super cute plus clothes, but I feel like I'm playing Russian Roulette. My two biggest issues are the clothes quality and that the website's 'in stock' doesn't reflect reality.

A pair of leggings arrived with a messed up stitch in the thigh, leaving me with a hole I have to repair. The band in one of my soft sleep shorts has started folding in the fabric because it didn't have a reinforced stitch. These are things that if I was shopping in person, I'd be able to suss out beforehand.

In both orders I've had an item cancelled because it's actually out of stock, but the website will say it's still in stock. You never know if what you are buying is actually available. In my case I bought a pair of swim briefs and a swim top, and the briefs were apparently out of stock. Now I don't need the swim top, but when I called customer service to cancel the swim top item I was told they are unable to modify/refund any part of the order. Considering that the website isn't reliable and Torrid modified my order to cancel something, it's hard to take this company seriously and shopping their site feels risky. The agent was very polite and understanding, and she gave me some Torrid Cash, but since I don't plan on shopping online again it's moot point.

I also need to point out that paying $50USD to ship to Canada feels like highway robbery. The only reason why the company can justify charging this price is because people will still pay: it's genuinely hard for shoppers to find cute plus clothes.

If I ever visit a physical store I may buy something on sale, but as inconvenient as it is, I'm honestly reluctant to keep supporting these business practices.

I visited store 5054 in riverside California ca, and Tyler mall.
I'm the online shopping kind of girl especially with me being a little overly weight but over the years of trying to lose weight I'm finally am able to walk in store, being a little embarrassed still. But everything changed when I walked in a very nice lady named (Allie) I believed helped me, she explained the stores deals for the day and assisted me the whole time she asked me if there was anything special I was looking for I told her 'I wanted to spice thing up especially because I've been losing weight' she recommend some bomb shell jeans and a few baby doll tops and a few other item's and this girl (Allie) should be a personnel stylist everything I told her I was looking for she found she even opened me up to the super soft tee's which I now love. She even had a fitting room ready for me a head of time which had my name on the door it made me feeling really important. (Allie) made me feel really comfortable she was amazing I told her all my problem areas and she replied 'I know you see it that way but you are beautiful the way you are regardless of how you see yourself ' that really hit me differently caues I dont think anyone has ever told me that. I love this store and the girls in there hopefully every time I go in (Allie's) there to help out
this was the first visit and many more to come thank

I received a gift card for my Birthday…

I received a gift card for my Birthday in April for a hundred dollars. I was so excited. I of course spent well over 100 dollars but figured Id use my Torrid Credit Card. Well worth it. Imagine my surprise when I got to the register and found out my gift card was not Activated. Still no Biggie. I used my credit card and called the help line. After an hour on hold I got through. an 1 and 1/2 layer as we were finishing I had to grab my mother in law on the phone to verify that it was ok to activate the gift card I received. The guy on the phone says this happens all the time. Said it would be all set in 2 to 3 weeks. Fast forward from April to July 12. I looked to make sure it was activated........ it was not. I called and spent 45 minutes on hold..... did the same thing. Even Though my mother in law ok'd me to handle it they still would not activate my card with out her getting on again. she was busy this time. I ended up hanging up but both calls were ended. I am so furious with the customer service I am about to close my credit card down and just tell my mother in law to get a refund. I have been a Torrid Girl since you first came out. The last Two years the quality in the clothes and the customer service have left me very unsatisfied. I just can't believe after months my card is still unactive and I'm left scrambing.....

Horrid Torrid

I placed an order for 3 items (not sale/clearance items) on 06/17/22. They removed 1 item 06/21/22. Understandable, websites are not always up-to-date. However, weeks later, on 07/08/22 they removed a 2nd item. Leaving only 1 item in my order. I requested they cxl order. The response I got stated unable to modify orders in process. My order stated "In process" the minute I checked out. But they modified it themselves easily enough. The item had not yet shipped but they still refused. Could not give me a ship date. Only "Please note that our website and fulfillment process has recently changed. To better service our customers, orders will now be processing and shipping out a lot quicker. We are no longer able to make any changes or cancelations once an order has been placed. Thank you and have a wonderful day!". I got this same response twice. Then low and behold I get a shipment notification the next day. Not once were any of my questions and concerns addressed. They are still charging me the same shipping as for the 3 items. Not happy with this kind of service.

Truly disgraceful business operation

Online ordering from this company has become a total and utter joke. Shipping is already way too expensive ($50 outside of US) and there are widespread stock discrepancies throughout the site. My last 2 orders have been altered after I have already paid, due to items that were showing as ‘In Stock’ (not even showing as low or only some left) suddenly being unavailable and then cancelled from the order. If you try to get in touch with customer service to see about potential size alternatives or cancellation, they don’t respond for days and when they do, it’s just generic script nonsense that doesn’t acknowledge questions being asked or provide any meaningful resolution. Both times now the main items I have set out to purchase have been cancelled and I am left waiting on filler items that I mainly purchased to justify the shipping costs. Dispatch and shipping taking forever, no reimbursements of torrid cash or rewards used after multiple items cancelled from order. It’s infuriating that they are getting away with it, this is a multi million dollar retail company and they are basically taking people’s money and giving them the finger.

I have absolutely had it with Torrid, they’re a clown show and I will never order from them again.

Order goes into a Black Hole

I placed an order 3 weeks ago and it is not here. The website still shows' it in process, not shipped. Called and u can't get thru to anyone, just sends a text link that shows it in process. Wanted to cancel my order because I leave for vacation next week and can't get ahold of anyone. Watch it! If you place an order it goes into a black hole, can't talk to anyone and may take 2 months before shipping! I wanted to order bras but I'm not stupid.

Done with Torrid

Done with Torrid. I placed three orders within the last 3 weeks with Torrid online. The first one being on June 13th, it has yet to ship. I called the customer service hotline and they said that this order is not going to ship until July 1st. That is 18 days and that is just them shipping it to me. It'll take another 2 weeks just to get to my house. This is beyond ridiculous! These clothes are not worth this BS. There are so many other plus size companies out there that we have to stop shopping at Torrid. This review will be going on every piblic forum.

Waiting 2+ weeks for my order or any info...

I placed an order worth over $100 back on 6/12/22.

My order still says "processing" with no updates. It has been over two weeks since I paid, and I still have no ETA, and I have no merchandise.

Torrid's customer service has been useless. I have sent contact us requests asking for answers, but Torrid responded saying they couldn't find my order.

PayPal can't refund me because Torrid has my funds tied up. I couldn't be more unhappy.

I will never order anything from Torrid.com again after this experience.

Horrible

Horrible. Shipping is insane. I’m still waiting on an order I placed over a month ago. This was it for me. I won’t be doing business with them again. Customer service is a joke. I like Hot Topic. Similar products and much better to have orders delivered. Oh and buyer beware torrid charged my credit card twice…. Something new to dispute. I’m contacting consumer affairs. This is robbery

I have given up ordering from Torrid…

I have given up ordering from Torrid for a plethora of reasons:
Their customer service is the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. It's impossible to get an actual person on the phone and when contacting through email, expect a 4-5 day wait for a reply.
The shipping process is a joke. I placed an order on the 9th, and it still has yet to even finish processing for delivery. If I order from ANYWHERE else, I get my shipment within 2-3 days.
They have cancelled orders on me more than once stating the product is unavailable, while still showing it as in stock on their web site.
Torrid used to be my go-to, but the company is a joke. They care nothing about their customers, the quality in product has significantly decreased, while their prices continue to rise.

Terrible shipping and processing times

Terrible shipping and processing times. They sell and ship items with est dates show when you place the order. That is extremely dishonest. All my orders have taken upwards of 3 weeks to process and then shipping on top of that.
I have had items canceled only to see they are available online and still can be purchased. The real issue I see is the fraud. If they are selling seasonal merchandise with a shown estimated shipping date, they are giving a good faith estimate on when you can receive your order. They KNOW they will not or can not fulfill this. That is fraud.
I want to root for Torrid, because I’m tall and curvy and their jeans work, but I can’t wait a month for an order to ship.

This review is about the corporate policies. I just spent over $600 using my torrid cash. I needed to return some items because of between sizing and corporate will not reissue my coupons. To receive 50% off $1200 I had to spend a large amount of money to earn that torrid cash, and not having that returned to the customer is really unfair. Other stores will allow you to reuse "cash", like Lane Bryant.
This is something that would keep customers happy about their policies and have them return for many future purchases.

This is my second time complaining here…

This is my second time complaining here about Torrid and it’s terrible customer service. I placed a small order on the 2nd and it’s still pending. Placed 2 other larger orders since using Klarna and those were delivered within 3 - 4 days. Why isn’t my 2 item small order being prepped and shipped? Why can’t I reach anyone in customer support? Never again. I’m done. They Jack up the prices and lower the quality of the clothing constantly. I used to buy only Torrid clothing because even though it was expensive the quality was great. Can’t say that’s the case anymore. Designs on EVERY SINGLE screen print shirt I’ve purchased has completed faded and peeled off.
