Experienced branch manager saves the day, thank you Steve!
We can always rely on the experienced Travis Perkins branch manager Steve Vaughan at Barry to get what we need. We were let down by another branch and Steve got it sorted. Steve arranged that We collected from the Pontypridd branch. It was showing as in stock, and proved that it was actually on the shelf, and the yard boys were very polite and very helpful.

I arranged a delivery for after 12 on a certain day and was told that was fine. The day in question arrives and I get a message stating that the delivery would be between 8 and 10am. I called the office in Andover and was told that after 12 is all booked up. Useless.

I call Travis Perkins Pocklington which is my local branch, Brett was very helpful advising me of the things I would need and I sourced everything I required to make my garden beautiful again.

Ian and Tim on the yard are excellent, they get you loaded very fast and efficiently.
Olly the driver is really good at getting materials where you want them, even helping to carry plasterboards into the house.
Ryan, the manager is very attentive and great with pricing.
All in all, a great team.

No call to arrange delivery, just turned up and left it by house. Not impressed!
Placed online order for large amount of timber. Receipt said branch would contact me to arrange delivery. Came off a long call to see id got a txt saying the delivery driver was going to deliver the wood in about 10 minutes time. I phoned branch and was told the wood had been delivered! No one in house and I’m away for several days, so hopefully my wife can get the timber and cement to a safe place, if it hasn’t been stolen before she gets home! Not at all impressed, was hoping to arrange the delivery for a day I was home!!

Would definitely recommend the Travis Perkins Salford branch. Sean is always really helpful, and whenever I order materials everything’s spot on. Deliveries are reliable and always turn up on time, which makes a big difference when you’ve got a job to get done.
