Avoid!!! Ordered my mum the ‘Mother’s Day spring flowers’ from Waitrose which were £25. They arrived today, they were dead, and nothing at all like the photos on the website!!! I have sent a complaint requesting a full refund but yet to hear a response. Terrible service!

Ordered a scented rose planter for my elderly mum for mother's day. It cost £35 which is more than I've previously paid for lovely delivered plants from other major retailers. What I got looks nothing like the picture, white flowers instead of pink, was drooping although the soil was sopping wet so probably overwatered and might not survive it. It had clearly been grown in front of a single light source since it was leaning over one side of the pot and completely bare at the other side. There is no scent. And finally it had been crushed badly in transit damaging several stems and 2 out of the pathetic number of blooms. Will see if it comes back to life at all, but needless to say this has completely ruined my mum's mother's day as she normally gets a beautful plant and loads of compliments from everyone who visits over the weekend. Utter waste of money.

Terrible service

I ordered a hyacinth spring flowers planter to be delivered to my parents. It was delivered on the day I requested but was in a very poor condition, the card was wet and covered in soil. My parents complained and Waitrose arranged a second delivery. Unfortunately this arrived in a worse condition than the first with no card.

Waitrose offered a “full refund (incl delivery)” which I accepted; sadly the refund is around £5 short. I have asked them to explain why they haven’t made a “full refund” but have had no response.

Ordered quite frankly overpriced flowers but I wanted something reliable (for colleague leaving celebration) flowers arrived towards the end of the day and were already turning brown. I was too embarrassed to give them to the colleague. Called waitrose who asked for proof (which I happily sent) and then asked what I wanted, refund or more flowers. Said I needed them for the following day which they said they couldn’t do. So now I’m going to have to go out and find a florist tomorrow morning to buy more and they haven’t even responded about the refund, let alone any reimbursement for the total waste of time and inconvenience. I’ll never buy flowers from them again.

These "geniuses" use Yodel for their flowers delivery. The birthday flowers were delivered into a snowy frozen night and left on the porch. Found dead frozen next morning. I don't think that this service is good enough for either birthdays or funerals but is perfect when you want to insult someone.

PS. I am not allowed to call "geniuses" by a proper word that I want to use. TrustPilot blocks me from posting it.

To be honest, if I had the choice I'd give no stars!
I ordered flowers for a very special birthday - my daughter's 30th. There were times when I didn't think she'd ever reach 30 so this was important.
Her favourite flowers are daffodils so I sent what appeared to be a beautiful bunch of small golden narcissus.
I had notification of delivery, but they were not delivered. On checking the invoice, the wrong postcode had been entered. Scouring the neighbourhood, the box was found on the doorstep of an empty house.
Inside was a plastic bowl of bulbs! That's it! £25 for a bowl of bulbs.
I'm absolutely shocked and quite furious. I trusted Waitrose. Never again.
DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS BY POST FROM WAITROSE. GO ELSEWHERE.
Moonpig flowers were delivered. Better value too.

Order a bouquet for valentines day for my wife. The bouquet was called "Abundance of Love" and was 12 red roses and 12 red anemones. 4 of the anemones were rotten and must have been packed like it. The roses had very thin stems and small heads. After 4 days they are very underwhelming and look nothing like the photo on the website. I think it's fair to say it's the worst bouquet of flowers I've ever bought. My wife tried to complain to customer service which is not easy and had to send photos of the damaged flowers. It seems to be a long winded process and still don't know what they are going to do to resolve this issue. I'm hoping for a refund. On the plus side Yodel delivered within the delivery time slot and the package was not damaged at all

I ordered flowers from Waitrose thinking they were a decent reputable company, how wrong was I.
They arrived for valentines day at nearly 6pm, they were battered and broken and looked nothing like the images online, i immediately sent a number of emails with photos and got an automated response saying they would get back to me but no one has 3 days later, so I called their telephone number and spoke to some woman who was pretending she couldn't hear me and then cut me off 3 times after around an hour on hold in total.... absolute Joke of a company, i spent £100 with these sharks and got a pile of junk!!

Flowers did not arrive on the day scheduled, nor the day after or in fact ever.

Miserable and unhelpful customer service representative took my order number and left me on hold for 15+ minutes and not returning.... issue still not resolved despite multiple calls and emails.

Would not recommend to anyone.

I ordered a bouquet for £27 + delivery which came to £30.95. It was for a friend's birthday.
What I received was a cheap bunch of flowers which sell in the Waitrose shops for £6.00.
Do not buy from them no customer care and untrustworthy florist!!!!!!

Terrible service. They use Yodel as there selected courier so although this is where the issue is, as Waitrose Florist use them the fault to me is with Waitrose. Item arrived today - not handled with care at all, bulbs and plants all tipped out with compost all over the inside of the packaging. Complaint put into Waitrose and full photos submitted but all they have offered is to resend out via Yodel again or a refund. I've took a refund as I don't want another delivery of wrecked plants. These were bought as a gift for someone after a hospital operation. Disgusting service and no compassion shown in looking to get a different courier to deliver etc. please don't use, you and your recipient will be upset.

Absolutely appalling!!! Rude customer service staff. Bouquet had been sitting in the depot for 13 hours!!!!! We were told how awful Waitrose was but man, awful doesn’t do it justice. Never use again!! You should be ashamed Waitrose.

Was delivered a day early, on the 13th. Totally unacceptable

At no point during the "selection" process is there any mention of the potential delivery issue.
I went though a second order up to the point of paying, as a sanity check, and confirm that at no time are you warned that the 'delivery window' is pretty much any time on your day of choice.. 7am to 9pm!.. 14 hour potential. There's also no option, for an option!.. AM or PM would be something.

The first time the delivery window comes to light, is in the order confirmation email.. and if you don't read all that (cos most don't... as it's the 'just in case you need proof' email)

I wanted during working hours, as it was for the wife, whilst at work. A little bit of attention, works wonders huh;). But no... cant guarantee any sort of time. Won't say what will happen if delivery is attempted at a business that's closed for the day?... cant leave it outside, or with a neighbour! So having to hope for the delivery to be changed to a home delivery.
Had I known delivery was just going to be "some time on the day"... I'd have gone elsewhere.

I ordered flowers for my parent’s wedding anniversary rose & freesias scented bouquet. They arrived on time and packaged exceptionally well in a stand up box which I thought was good as some companies use flat boxes. They flowers were fabulous large buds and when the did open beautiful smell. Would definitely use Waitrose florist again quality and price better than I expected. Well done Waitrose.

Frankly zero stars. I sent a no 1 premium spring bouquet to my Mum for her 70th birthday. I wasn’t able to be with her and wanted her to have some fab flowers for a significant birthday. What arrived was an incomplete, wilted bunch with broken stems. Left on the porch despite both my parents being at home. So embarrassing. Please do not use them. The ‘bouquet’ cost £50…

My daughter received a decapitated and dead poinsettia on Christmas Eve. As it was not even in the pot and the packaging was soaked through we had soil all over the kitchen floor I received in early January a basket of spring flowers. Hyacinths were planted upside down. Primulas were past their best. Again the soil was loose but fortunately I knew to open this in the garden. Subsequently Waitrose Customer Service have been uninterested, feeling that a £15 refund on £40 purchase price is sufficient compensation. There are so many better providers in this market than Waitrose. Use someone else!.

Ordered flowers for a birthday, they were supposed to be delivered next day. After checking tracking they remained at the delivery depot from 2am until the afternoon. I contacted Yodel, who were absolutely hopeless. Tried three times agent would come online and then disappear. Contacted Waitrose CS twice, first time l was informed the flowers would be delivered in afternoon. I informed the CS team they were still showing at the depot and not out for delivery. I was told to wait and l would receive a 2 hour window. I was becoming more concerned and decided to call Waitrose CS again, this time l was informed the flowers would not be delivered as Yodel claimed the flowers had not arrived at their depot until late afternoon despite tracking showing they were at the depot all day. Waitrose agent confirmed the flowers had been sat at the depot, l had no other option but to cancel the order. Absolutely appalling service for such a reputable retailer. I wish l had checked the reviews, totally disappointed and will not return !

Huge basket of Christmas plants arrived. The box was soaked and battered (weather was appalling so can’t blame them for the soaking) three plants still in place, rest in the box with loose compost. After retrieving I might make it but sadly not. Dead and gone, poinsettia, begonia and cyclamen. Just under a week.

I didn't think I needed to check TrustPilot for a company like Waitrose. Boy was I wrong. Flowers arrived in a very sad state. Whilst they did perk up for the most part (not all) after a few hours in water, there was still permanent necrosis to the edges of the roses and freesias. The lilies have yet to open. I think they will be fine. Hence, two stars.
