Great team behind the cute little figures

Had issues with the courier (wont be a surprise to anyone who lives in the UK who that is) but despite being in a totally different country, the YooTooz team were able to give me whole separate tracking information that was actually updated. The figures themselves are super cute and well made, and Towelie is apparently going to be the start of a new collection for him. Thanks YouTooz ❤️

Overall scammy

I ordered a figure back in June as a gift for someone, aware of how long their shipping sometimes takes. It was set to be sent out in October, but that date kept getting pushed back. I still hadn't even received a shipping number, so I checked the site again and it said it wouldn't ship out until next June! I decided to cancel my order, because that just seemed ridiculous and it wasn't worth the wait at that point. Conveniently, they emailed me back the next morning saying that they couldn't cancel the order because it had already shipped out, and suddenly I finally received a shipping number. This means, to me, that they only finally shipped it out because I wanted a refund, which makes them seem untrustworthy. I wouldn't recommend buying from them if you ever actually want to receive the item you bought.

Quick help!

Had incorrectly put in my old apartment address. Emailed the support team with me correct address and they responded back with and updated/correct address the next day. Let me mention they responded on CHRISTMAS, i sent the original email on Christmas Eve, I was honestly surprised at the spread in which I got a response. I appreciate the quick response but don’t work yourself to hard yall, my address fix can always wait till after a holiday 🙌🏼 thank you !

Constantly pushing back delivery date…

Constantly pushing back delivery date without updating. Item was said to be shipped in Nov, so I ordered them for Christmas.

It got pushed to December and there was no update from then.

Currently it's been pushed to May.

And if you mail them, they tend to chose to reply you or ignore your emails. Very unprofessional.

Awesome Company

The figure itself is high quality

The figure itself is high quality, but they use a third party broker when importing into canada. What should have bee $0-$5 duties was $22 for a $30 item. That is insane. If you live in Canada do not buy from YouTooz.

Edited to say, I am glad they're changing back to Canada Post. I would have preferred a delay to paying so much in extra fees! The item itself is awesome and I am very happy with it. Would consider ordering again when they're not using their current shipper.

I pre-ordered the Shadowmilk Cookie…

I pre-ordered the Shadowmilk Cookie figurine when it was available and received it today. Unfortunately, it arrived damaged. The small support piece at the back, which is supposed to hold the figurine, was broken on arrival. While Shadowmilk himself can still stand, the fact that the item came broken in the first place leaves a bad impression.

This was not my fault, the issue was clearly caused by inadequate packaging. There was no bubble wrap or foam at all. The shipping box was exactly the same size as the figurine’s box, and the only “protection” was a thin layer of plastic around the figurine, which is not sufficient for long-distance international shipping. Since I am from Europe, returning the item and waiting for a replacement would take at least a month, if not longer, so I will glue the broken part myself. But I don't think I will buy from here again

i will admit that my product had issues…

i will admit that my product had issues arriving due to the international shipping. but as soon as i contacted youtooz about the issue, they were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process of making it arrive safe and sound. advising me on everything i asked and even promising a full refund if it never arrived. alas, it did arrive! thanks to their help and commitment everything went right.

Shipping takes soooooo long

Shipping takes soooooo long. So if you need something fast or within a reasonable time, dont order from here. I ordered on 11/25 and still have yet to recieve my order.

Very fast support

Accidentally put in a previous address and only realized shortly after the order was confirmed. But I quickly contacted support and they successfully changed not even 24 hours later.

A big warning for this site

A bit warning for this site. I ordered a figure 17 July, and have still not got it. When I got the first confirmation email I for many days thought this must be somewtihg wrong: "item expected in november!" Whaat! But still even that date was not it. Still have not got it and they barely say anything when I ask about the status: "are a little behind in shipping". Why must I ask when it's delayed, why could they not tell me when they first notice the extra delay? I asked them a couple weeks before that and they say all is fine, nothing to worry about.

As the other person said here, they also use the bad tactics to say: "order now, it will be to late very soon, last ones". And then they ship it over half a year later! Never ever again from this site. Fake! Still don't know if I will get the item. Don't order, even if you can't find the figures anywhere else sadly!

Very good Collectors Website!

Very easy to buy plushies!
i bought a plush on 9th November and its currently 10 December and its there!the order said it would be around 31st dec. so its very good!the plushie prices are expensive but i understand it as i live in Europe and it costs a lot to ship:P
overall its a very good website for people who love collecting plushies!

Scummy business practices and misleading prices

The entire business model relies on panic buying. "You better buy this thing you like RIGHT NOW because it WILL be gone FOREVER if you don't! Don't take too much time to think about it or it will be TOO LATE!"

Well okay fine, I really like this youtuber and want this plush. 30$+shipping, okay fine. Oops! Its 30$ USD, so your final price is double (including shipping) what you were expecting to pay! DOUBLE. 30$ for a plush is understandable, translated into 65$ at the end feels dishonest when you could just do what most websites do and convert to local currency. (Shipping aside, that price is whatever) Makes me start to rethink my purchase, but remember! If I don't buy it now I'll NEVER get to again because everything on the website is Once Its Gone Its Gone Forever.

I will say that I was contacted because of an issue with the name I used, and that issue was resolved quickly and with good communication from the team. Props to them for that specifically.

Shipping is taking forever, whatever. Understandable when you gotta make the quantity of stuff, then sort out shipping, then actually send it all off. It'll get here when it gets here. Oh what's this email? "Hey you gotta pay another 25$ in order to get your shit through customs." ... So I paid for this item, wait months and months for it to start to ship, then have to pay MORE money in order to actually get the thing. When ordering online this is the ONLY time there's been an additional customs charge, but you know what, fine. I'm not even that upset at Youtooz for the customs cost. My issue is the fact I seriously considered the additional cost was a scam because it WASN'T MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY. If Youtooz mentioned at the end of payment or in an email after, "There's a chance you'll need to pay an additional fee for customs that we don't cover here, you could receive an email once your item has started shipping." I'd be less upset. I'd have been given a heads up that there's an external bullshit I have to pay before I can finally get my item, instead of "hey it's been a long time since I ordered this item that cost me 65$ ... oh I have to pay more money I didn't expect to in order to actually get it." It feels like the entire thing is scummy.

To summarize my points, my item listed as 30$ has cost me around 100$ at the end of the day due to currency conversions, shipping, and customs. If Youtooz had an option on the website when you first open it to convert to your perferred currency, and gave you a heads up that there may be a future customs cost, I'd be less upset at the price. The general shipping cost is excluded because that's expected for every online purchase you make, meanwhile I have never before now been asked for customs cost. The Youtooz brand/business relies on panic purchasing and FOMO, and feels scummy. Instead of someone taking time to weigh the cost and time to get the item, they're weighing "would I prefer to possibly be disappointed or regret buying this thing, or be sad I didn't buy it in time?" Is it worth the money becomes is the money worth avoiding loosing the chance to have this. It feels manipulative at its core to make more money, and I don't respect that. If I didn't love the youtuber as much as I do, and if the plush wasn't exactly what it was, I wouldn't have bothered. My experience with customer service was a positive and productive one, which is the one thing that brought this review up a star, since I think they deserve credit for that.

Any import or Duty fees you were charged were due to the Canada Post strike, and we had to pivot to using a new shipping provider to avoid any undue delays from the strike action. This may not have been in action at the time of purchase, which is of course, why we couldn't inform you of it before it happened.

The order that got stuck for ever

I ordered Christmas gifts for my stepdaughter in early November, cause I wanted to be sure we got them before Christmas.
The toys have been stranded in the Netherlands since November 19th, so i reached out to the company and they told me they would look into it and get back to me… I haven't heard one thing since.. I’ve emailed several times and now im guessing my kid won’t be able to get her presents.
Also ordered a pre-order plush which should have been shipped around November 30th, now it’s just getting pushed and pushed (which I have to find out by checking the page myself, no updates from the company).

I realise Christmas is a busy time, but I’ve received all other orders I’ve made from other company’s which also ships from china and other countries and they all got here within 2 weeks. So this seems super weird.

It’s such bad service not getting back to people. I feel like I just poured 200€ down the drain, that I won’t get my stuff and will have one sad kid for Christmas.

Bleargh!
