My review was deleted at the request of Autobutler, despite being honest and truthful. I am pasting it again as it appears they do not take kindly to any negativity.
"Only two quotes received. Ridiculous prices, more than double of that sought on WhoCanFixMyCar. Terrible experience overall. The strange thing is that one particular garage quoted on both sites. £400 on WhoCanFixMyCar but £800 on AutoButler. How is that possible?"
Should proof be requested, I will copy and paste both quotes by the same garage.
In addition and in an attempt to silence me, they have stop me having access to their site so I could look for the reference number, that way, they could attempt to have it removed again. However, I found it on one of my emails.

Hi Christina, we pass the requests to garages to quote on, from memory your request was for paintwork/damage repair. We advise garages to offer a free inspection so an accurate quote can be given when visiting their garage. I do not know why a garage would quote different amounts on different sites. We are now insisting garages do not quote but only use the invite option, that way a quote will always be 100% accurate.

Good experience. At the beginning not sure my questions could be answered by other than persons on garae site. I had trouble submitting my review as everytime I put the invoice total in and pressed submit it came back and wouldn't go further.

Excellent service
Really fast service. 3 quotes all for the correct job. Appointed one of them and the job was booked on Saturday for the following Tuesday.
All the work was professionally done in the time they said at the price they quoted

Garage wasnt open when I got there I…
Garage wasnt open when I got there I called them and they said there were closed until tuesday. If I had cancelled I would have been charged how unfair is that!? They said they hadn't checked to see if there had been any online bookings. Travelled 30 mins to get to them to find them closed.

Beyond useless
Useless, three ‘quotes’ for £0 offering for me to take it in to get the actual quotes.
I dont have the time to be driving around aimlessly!

Autobutler responded below. Two attempts have been made to remove this review. I have provided trustpilot with the information requested and they have decided the review is authentic.
I did read the garrages offers. It was for me to drive to them where they would then quote for the work.
The whole point of this site seems to be to speed up the process and get three quotes from the comfort of your own home.
With the above in mind what therefore is the point of wasting hours driving around various garages, if I had the time I might have done that initially, as it turns out I obtained quotes from a competitor who could actually quote for the very same work with the very same info in the very same format.
Quite odd that all 3 of your garrages responded in the same manner, That seems unlikely from 3 apparently entirely separate entities.

Hi Martyn, it reads like you didn't read the garages offer, had you of done you would be aware we do not allow them to publish a guess price. The way our system works is the quote provided can be locked in by selecting and booking. Had the garage guessed at 100 but then when you booked the real price was 1000 you can imagine your despair! Hence some jobs need to be seen to be priced, then the quote is guaranteed. Its funny that 3 garages were prepared to spend 15 to 30 minutes preparing a quote for you but you didn't want to spend any time visiting them. Perhaps if they charged for their estimate you might respect them more?
Hi Martyn, as there was no correct AB ref we needed to check validity of review!! Most people realise some quote requests need to be seen to receive an accurate quote, I am pleased you found a place that could help you.

Brilliant service
Brilliant service, I got my clutch repaired by a local mechanic, he came and picked my car up and also redelivered it. Service from website to finishing my clutch was impeccable I highly recommend.

Very pleased. I tried a garage through a different auto agency but was no able to agree a time. I tried autobutler and was able to identify a garage - AWM - who confirmed a suitable time for a cheaper price. I will certainly use autobutler again.

A very simple, easy to use process
A very simple, easy to process process that enabled me to (a) get a feel for the market rate for the work I wanted doing - replace all four brake discs and pads (b) find another good quality, trusted local garage. Communication with garage was excellent and the garage itself delivered the service for the original price. very happy customer

Drove from Brixham to Ottery St Mary…
Drove from Brixham to Ottery St Mary (40 miles each way) for a confirmed appointment today. Got to the garage and was told that they were busy mending their own cars today (Bank Holiday Monday) so wouldn’t be doing the repair that I had booked and had had confirmation of from them.
Autobutler is on answerphone so have had to go home and book through a different agent at a different garage. Ottery Motor Services at Ottery St Mary really didn’t care that I had spent an hour driving there. Whatever you do - do not use the Ottery Motor Services in Ottery St Mary. It will be a waste of your time.
