Sent me to a garage that was closed for respray but understandable considering the time we are in, took a few days for results but again the times, will try again once the lock down is over so I can give a more accurate review

Crap site
Crap site - doesn't work. When i tried to log back on to see where my quotes were, it advised me to contact them. Why? not user friendly and a waste of my time.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for providing further details on your experience. I have investigated and found that either the email or phone number provided by yourself was false, this contravenes our user 'T & C. One of the garages flagged your account and put it on pause so you could contact us and correct the error. From your review, it seems you had an objection with this! You just need to supply accurate data in the first place when setting up the account, this will stop the account being paused, and the comms page being displayed.
Would recommend
A very useful way of finding a good price for maintenance work when it's a specific job you need doing

Autobutler found me a local garage that was close to home. I had several to choose from and the whole procesd was easy. Kept me informed about my car as did my local garage. Got my car back in no time.

Absolute waste of time, don't bother!
Took them well over 24hours to get back to me as claimed on their site. Then when quotes did come in, they didn't provide an actual price. All that was there was a vague "invite" to attend a garage twenty to thirty miles away from my address for a "free estimate". If I had time to take the car to a garage, I wouldn't have tried to get a quote online.
Complete joke, a waste of time and absolutely not what it claims to be! I have my suspicions it's all just a scam to get your personal details to sell on to other companies, like those "have you been in an accident?" callers.

Firstly we are owned by the Peugeot Group so have access to auto and owner data and would never sell it. I can see the garage advised you.
"We invite you to our workshop for a free estimate (quote valid for 30 days) by all means use the messaging system for a rough estimate!
To get an estimate, you simply have to ask via the messenger system. If the garage put an actual quote in the system it is guaranteed and they have to stick to it, which they can't!! By all means call us for more details..

Also specified parts they would be using but when it came to the work put cheaper part on my car which I have had to replace wasting my time and money

Useless, two ‘quotes’ for £0 offering for me to take it in to get the actual quotes.
I don't have the time to be driving around aimlessly!
Be very careful. When you click to get an online quote it automatically gives you an appointment with a garage. If you don't cancel they charge you a fee.
I tried telling Jessica from autobutler this and I thought she was very unhelpful and quite rude. No apology! I wouldn't use this service. You may as well go to the garages yourself that's what you have to do with this service.
The screen shot that is missing from the conversation below says select a quote which was what I did expecting to get an online quote. I didn't ever request an appointment but they made me one anyway and said they would charge if I didn't go to it. Just to make people aware be careful with this company they seem more worried about being right than helping customers.

Hi Deborah,
I can see you selected and accepted the offer of a free investigation to determine an exact quote for your damage. I can also see the garage advised they would send a free estimate if you used the messenger system! If you select and accept the workshops offer they will try and contact you to complete the booking or as some car owners prefer offer their next available date. You will always receive an email confirming this, so Im not sure why you would get a no show fee. We always encourage communication as this certainly facilitates the process. Below is your email correspondence, I can see she is explaining the process not being rude.

Sorry Deborah, I am confused, the garage offered a free inspection to make sure their quote was accurate, you accepted. The fee mentioned would be for a no show once the booking was made? How is this a con, what have you been conned out of?

They didn’t give me a quote. It said £0.00. How is that accurate? It’s just a way of getting people to the garage. It wasn’t to check a quote. Unless they do it for free? Look on your screen shot. It says £0.00. If I hadn’t checked my emails and cancelled they would have charged me a fee. That is wrong. I didn’t accept a quote. I clicked to get a quote and it made an appointment. Can I deal with a manager if you’re going to keep replying? You are obviously oblivious that your system doesn’t work properly. If I hadn’t read the email I would have been charged for a no show. That’s not treating customers fairly.

It says 0.00 as the inspection is offered free, some garages charge! I can see the garage wrote to you on the day the quote was accepted, they asked if you had a preferred date or whether they should book next available. The next day they booked as next available as no response came?
