I will start by saying that overall my experience of customer service nowadays is one of disappointment with companies banging on about customer service but when it comes down to it the experience was awful. However my dealings with David and Amber at Baker Ashley were really exceptional. Several sales on my house did not work out but we kept at it and finally got there. I could call them and ask daft questions anytime during the day and always got a courteous, informative answer, they always had time for me. Can't recommend them enough.

Andrew and Debi have been a dream to work with and to have on our sale and purchase. They have been available via email and telephone on every opportunity and have gone above and beyond to help us when issues have arose. Baker Ashley are the proven experts when it comes to conveyancing. I say this because I have gone through the process of buying and selling 2 houses through them and both times they have been the most efficient, organised and fastest in the chain. Bear in mind the other solicitors were local and I took the risk using a company over a hundred miles away. It turns out there was no risk at all. They made the whole process easy. When there were hiccups in the chain (caused by other parties) they were the calm and compassionate solicitor who held my hand throughout the process while the other parties were scrambling around. I won’t use anyone else it will always be Baker Ashley.

We used Baker Ashley for the purchase of our flat a year ago so decided to use them again for the sale of it and purchase of our house as we knew they would still have all of the leasehold info, etc. Lisa and Sue were in charge of our case and they were very knowledgable and helped us to understand everything, they also chased up the rest of the chain whenever we asked. Super friendly people who got things done when they needed to be!

I appointed this firm on the reviews. Disappointing service.
I had a small flat to buy, I was a cash buyer so no mortgage, no difficult lease, no sitting tenant, no searches needed as I owned another property in the same building and did not see the need. everything was ready to go; this couldn't have been simpler.
Appointed on 18 March – and it took over 3 months to get to completion. 14 weeks… WHY?
So much faffing around. When I asked what was holding things up, I was told that this or that hadn’t been done. Some things were down to me, but if I didn’t know that they were waiting for something, I couldn’t do anything about it.
Getting real progress reports was hard work. When the main conveyancer was on holiday, I was assured that this would not impinge on progress. So why when she returned, did her assistant say… Now Debi is back, she will deal with it.

Completion was late June. I should have had tenants in there for at least 6 weeks, so they lost me a lot of money.
I will not be using them again for my next sale or purchase.

Highly recommended team of solicitors. They couldn't have made our purchase go any smoother. From my initial enquiry to completion on our property we were kept up to date as the purchase progressed with excellent communication by email and via their excellent App.
