I have been with boots opticians Cleveleys for years the staff are so nice nothing is to much trouble go out off the way to help you I reasently had my eyes tested couldn't decide on some new glasses Julie was amazing, she spent a long time helping me choose some new glasses giving me advice I would definitely recommend and I would never go anywhere else thank you to Julie and all the staff

I have been a patient at Boots Opticians High Street Kensington for a number of years and always value the care and professionalism of the staff, especially the optometrist Hiral, whom I saw yesterday. I have two longstanding eye conditions, one of which needs active monitoring, and it is always helpful to update and discuss. I came away from my appointment yesterday reassured and encouraged.

I am so impressed with the service I received today. My sunglasses broke and they were a special birthday gift so I wanted them to be fixed. Another nearby opticians refused to look further into it but Lucy gave professional advice and fixed them immediately. I am so pleased and would highly recommend! Thank you Lucy for all your help!

Crawley boots option. Friendly staff. It was frustrating to spend half an hour to be told the frame you have chosen isn't suitable for the prescription and eye positioning. For sunglasses. I feel it took up alot of their time too.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I ordered a pair of varifocal glasses with transition lenses and waited over two weeks for them to be ready. When I collected them today, I walked outside into the sunlight only to discover that the lenses were not transition lenses at all.
I had to return to the store, where they confirmed the mistake and kept the incorrect glasses, leaving me with no glasses to use while I wait for a replacement. To make matters worse, I was offered no compensation or goodwill gesture for the inconvenience, despite the error being entirely theirs.
After a lengthy wait, I expected to receive the glasses I had paid for and a much better level of customer service when a mistake was made. Being left without any glasses and without any compensation is simply unacceptable. I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

Contacted customer support as requested below, but they don't respond. They must do that to make others think they respond promptly to complaints.

All the staff were efficient, polite and friendly. and helpful. The optician was particularly helpful giving good advice regarding the care of my eyes. He thoroughly explained all the eye tests and was reassuring regarding driving and on this occasion that my sight had not deteriorated. I have used Bots Opticians for many years and will continue to do so.

Charged£50 for PRIVATE scans i could and will get FOC on NHS told me I needed it /not true .complaand they basically said get lost. For 3rd time no prescription issued, no doubt it will be missing the crucial PD code and be unsigned like last time so I can't get spex somewhere else with a decent range of styles for reasonable prices. Pathetic. And now no longer my choice of opticians

Just received a phone call chasing me to make my overdue appointment, due to previous experience I went elsewhere, hence this review:-
Having used Boots Optician before I was aware that they don't have a good range of ladies petite frames. So when I received the standard reminder letter I trawled their website and made a list of suitably sized frames with the understanding that they could be delivered to the store for me to try when I had my eye test. I phoned the store to arrange both. A young guy answered the phone, was polite and friendly but couldn't answer my query so went off to confer with the manager. The managers response was:- "We don't have a website listing all of our frames, they are held at other branches, if you want those frames you would have to visit those branches or buy them online from those branches". REALLY? The manager was unhelpful, unfriendly and the dear young man who took my call was apologetic and as flummoxed as me at this poor response, lack of facts and lack of customer service.
This response drove me to a competitor who have a fabulous selection of frames, would still order in if necessary, spent time ensuring I was happy with my choices. I now have two lovely pairs of glasses, both verifocal reactive lenses, £800 worth for half price.
I do not recommend Boots Optician Broadmead Bristol and I would recommend that they replace the manager with someone who bothers with facts and customer service.

Had eye test in Jan 26 - advised needed cateract surgery for short vision and could not change prescription - arranged surgerey assessment and surgery - prior to surgery, on the day, surgeon informed me surgery may weaken short distance and advised me to go back to optician and discuss - I was not led to believe that after surgery I would be able to get a new prescription - saw optician and he explained thoroughly that 6 weeks after surgery, I would indeed be able to have new prescription to improve short close up vision - so in hindsight, I should have proceded with the surgery. However the optician clearly advised me on all matters, was very professional and knowledgeable, and re-assured my confidence of surgery

I ordered a pair of glasses, yes they were Zeiss lenses, but I have now been waiting for over 3 weeks!
When I ring the opticians, they take ages to answer, then put you on hold for a long time too.
I used to highly recommend boots opticians, above all the rest, but now their service has gone down hill, with a more modern display, but in my opinion with fewer staff, and therefore not a good service being provided.
