I got a pair of glasses in January and they are too heavy, went back to boots to see what could be done said I could pick a new pair no problem at all

Mr Hasson was friendly and talked through the process clearly. I was probably his last client of the day with the appointment being 20:15. Hope he’s there in a couple of years for my next check up!

Prices on display are misleading, on average at the till the price nearly doubles for so-called “extras”. Price dripping for extras is deliberate by Boots.
Recommend go elsewhere, somewhere like Asda Opticians…the price you see is the price you pay

Staff rude and non engaging. We were stood at the counter waiting to be served for approximately 10 minutes whilst one lady sat at the computer next to us and another walked past without giving us any acknowledgment at all.
The optician was ok.

Yet again, contact lens reward scheme fails to deliver. Expecting my delivery last weekend, now rescheduled to next weekend - despite them raising the order over 2 weeks ago. I've been on this plan near 2 years and it is the same EVERY single time. I get offered an apology and a token gift voucher but nobody at all taking ANY responisibility for sorting this! Sorry Boots, I'm leaving!

Everything went wrong.
Whilst the sight test was carried out professionally- ordering the glasses was a real problem.
I chose the glasses style and ordered a 2 pairs taking advantage of the offer.
I paid for the glasses using their Klarna to pay in instalments.
This proved to be a very slow process and involved a long wait as the assistant wasn’t aware of the process.
Eventually I paid and as arranged- 2 weeks later went to collect them .
( seemed a long wait to me)
I don’t live near the store (Fosse Park - Leicester) so it was a half hour drive.
On arriving at the store I was told that the glasses hadn’t been ordered as Klarna hadn’t worked.
I wasn’t told about this and wasted a return trip and 1.5 hours of my working day ( for which I wasn’t paid)
Unfortunately when they ordered the glasses again I was told that the frames were no longer produced.
As I was in a rush I subsequently made a rash decision on an alternative pair which I don’t like in retrospect.
They still couldn’t work out Klarna so having been offered a slight discount I agreed to the pair and they said they would work out Klarna when I collected the glasses ( 2nd trip which cost me money)
When I collected the glasses they said there was an issue with Klarna so reluctantly I agreed to pay in one hit- I don’t think I was offered the discount they promised - their receipt didn’t make any sense.
Having now had the glasses for a week - I’m not really satisfied with the frames and to my surprise , today I was contacted by Boots saying my glasses had arrived!
I explained I was wearing them as I spoke!
I probably won’t be using Boots Opticians again- overall it cost me too much time and their customer service is rubbish.

Hi - This is a review for Wantage branch
I popped in today after my beloved but slightly overweight Labrador sat on my glasses. I showed the assistant who asked for 5 to 10 minutes and when I returned - hey presto they were perfect - as good as new!. He tested them and amazingly then cleaned them!
Just the service I would love to imagine across the board. Well done - Very pleased and I will definitely recommend you. I did check a few prices while I was waiting and I am 99% sure that they compare favourably with the other big brand optician in Wantage - who were 100% less accommodating. Sadly I did not get the assistants name (he) but it was 14th April around 11am!

The staff were really helpful and gave great care to give me all the information I needed both during the test and when choosing the frames and the technical side of the prescription. Special mention should go to Raf who was really engaging and informative and also Dee who gave me plenty of time to sort out exactly what I needed and what was best for my situation. I was nervous about buying my first pair of glasses, and getting the right pair for me. I was trying some on, and Sami offered me really helpful advice on fit. With so many shapes and sizes, he helped me understand which ones worked best for my face. Uncertain the eye test I’d had elsewhere was accurate, Sami kindly called them to get further information and Lisa booked me to have my prescription checked where, after some swift and expertly handled tests by a lady (sorry, I didn’t note her name), Mohib offered such clear explanations and advice, putting me at ease. Lisa then took me through my purchase with such calm and care, and I left feeling excited instead of daunted about my new glasses.
When spending a lot of money, this kind of friendly and expert customer service is so important, and even better, it felt human rather than transactional. Thank you to everyone for such a great experience!
