Just registered on the new portal on boots opticians. I won't say how old I am but when selecting your date of birth, having to scroll back through 12 months of every year from today to get back to your birth year is extremely frustrating to put it politely. Surely you should be able to provide a drop down menu to select your birth year. Just about lost the will to live after that. Having got through that and forced to change my password, it doesn't tell you when your eye test is due. It just tells me my contact lens check is due which is why I logged on in the first place. I'll phone up my branch and talk to a human, if that's still possible and I'm not put through to a robot.

I’ve been using Boots Opticians in Canary Wharf for many years, and after my annual eye test today, I felt compelled to leave a review.
Every year I think the service can’t get any better, but somehow it does. Every member of staff I spoke to today was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful.
A couple of standouts deserve a mention. The colleague who initially welcomed me and started my check-in was excellent. Unfortunately, I can’t quite remember his name, but he was friendly, professional, and made me feel welcome from the start. As things became busy, he handed me over to Tom to complete the check-in process. Tom was great, as always. I’ve seen him a few times over the years and he consistently provides excellent service. What really stood out was that the original colleague later came back to apologise for not being able to complete the check-in himself. There was absolutely no need to apologise as I could clearly see how busy things were, but it was a thoughtful gesture that reflected the team’s high standards of customer care. I could also hear him helping to train other members of staff, which was great to see.
The optician was, as always, excellent. She clearly explained each stage of the examination and showed me the images taken of the back of my eyes, talking me through what she was looking at and reassuring me that everything looked healthy. Being able to see the images and have them explained gave me additional confidence and reassurance.
If I had to find one tiny criticism, it would be the air-puff eye pressure machine! I’m not sure anyone enjoys that part of the test, but of course it’s an important part of checking eye health.
Overall, the service was outstanding from start to finish. I’ve been coming here for years, and every year the experience seems to get even better. Thank you to the whole team for consistently providing such a high standard of care.

Friendly staff. Saw me on time. My optician Tiffany was very thorough and explained everything to me. When it came to choosing frames they agreed to use my existing frames which were originally from Boots a few years ago as they are really comfortable. Very impressed as no other optician would let me use my own frames. Would definitely recommend them as an exceptional company with fantastic service.

today I went in to Haverhill Boots Opticians.. I had concerns over my vision. I felt the staff was excellent. I 1st met Claudia who was warm and friendly and of course efficient.. but it was the optician himself that I was totally impressed with. Mr Fawad Raja who was professional, efficient knowledgeable ,warm and kind. Everything was explained with great knowledge and in a lesson I could understand. 10/10 to him.

Thorough eye exam from Matt, pre and post exam checks by Jasmin and Lucy and amazing help and patience from Cassidy who spent so much time helping me choose my new glasses and sunglasses. Really professional service from everyone as always but it was Cassidy’s sense of humour and ability to navigate my many changes of mind that made the afternoon so much fun!

Had a lens drop out of my glasses this morning and noticed the retaining screw was missing. I popped into Boots opticians in Witney to see if they could help and they had my glasses fixed and I was on my way in a couple of minutes. I am an existing customer of theirs but didn't inform them of this and they didn't ask, so even more impressed that they were just happy to help and fixed my glasses for free. Outstanding customer service.

I made an appointment with Boots Opticians in Warminster, hoping
to start wearing contact lenses.
I had previously tried contact lenses at another optician a few years ago but was unsuccessful.
From the start, the optician Alisha, was thorough, encouraging, and confident that I would be able to succeed with contact lenses. She was incredibly friendly and immediately put me at ease. She also worked hard to find the right prescription for me.
I then had a contact lens training session with another member of staff, Charlie, who helped me practise putting the lenses in and taking them out. Although I found the process quite frustrating at times, he was extremely patient, kind, and supportive throughout.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. The staff were approachable, friendly, and professional, making the whole experience a positive one.

We made an appointment with the understanding that the shop would be accessible for wheelchair users and that an eye test could be conducted without issue. However, when we arrived, it became immediately apparent that the entrance was not step-free, presenting a significant barrier right from the start. The staff on duty appeared uninterested and reluctant to assist, offering no guidance or explanation about how we could navigate the entrance or proceed with the appointment.
Inside, the space was extremely limited, with the eye test equipment positioned in such a way that it was impossible for a wheelchair user to comfortably access it. Instead of attempting to move things around or make accommodations, the staff seemed bothered by our presence and made no effort to help. We encountered another obstacle when trying to enter a room for additional checks, the doorway was far too narrow, preventing access altogether. The entire experience was disheartening, and it was clear from the staff's attitude that they were not interested in making their shop welcoming or accessible for disabled customers. Their lack of willingness and empathy made an already difficult situation even worse, leaving us feeling excluded and unwelcome.

Sam gave me a very through eye test and explained everything to me in a clear easy to understand way she then passed me onto Carol who very patiently listened to what I was looking for then helped me choose frames. I was a little undecided so she took photos on the iPad which really helped me choose the perfect pair. 5 star feedback for both ladies. Patient, friendly and helpful
