Myself and my family have been using the Stirling branch for eye tests, glasses and sunglasses for several years and we have always been really pleased with the service we received. This time it was very different. The counter staff came across as hostile, unfriendly, cold and abrupt. When I picked up my sunglasses I told the lady that they were blurred. She dismissed my concerns, she did not measure or adjust my glasses in any way and told me to go home and try them for a while. My glasses cost a few hundred pounds and despite protesting, I did this reluctantly. I tested them in various settings except driving as my vision was so blurry and unsafe. I called a few days later to make another appointment to have the issue resolved. When I arrived the same "dull" lady asked me what I wanted. I told her I was returning with issues about my sunglasses. She bluntly asked if I had an appointmented, I confirmed I did. She shrugged stating she had been off for a few days and wasnt aware!!!
She instructed me to sit down, I waited several minutes listening to the staff making silly remarks in the background. I was the only customer in the department. Thankfully a pleasant man called Iain listened to the issues I was experiencing, he took my concerns seriously, and explained what the issue were in great detail. He measured my glasses made several adjustments which all worked well. Surely this should have been done when I picked up my glasses particularly when I explained that they were blurred. This will be my last visit to boots opticians. A positive experience with the optometrist quickly became a negative unnecessary three trip visit. The changes in staffing at the Stirling branch did not make me feel that I was getting an all round professional service. I definately won't be back.

Another good experience at Wimborne's Boots Opticians :-) I was warmly welcomed into the store by Demi and Lynne, with Maddy very ably and smoothly carrying out the first eye health and diagnostic tests. The optometrist was Sam, who answered all my questions clearly and thoroughly. He is an excellent recent addition to an already great team.

I would like to share some very positive feedback regarding our recent visit to Boots Opticians Wigan (Robin Park).
My son was assisted by Mark, who helped him learn how to wear contact lenses. Mark was exceptionally polite, professional, and clearly dedicated to his work. He went above and beyond to ensure my son felt comfortable and confident throughout the process.
What stood out most was his attitude — he approached his work with the level of care and commitment one would expect from someone running their own business. He was incredibly thorough, explaining everything in detail: how to use the lenses properly, how to care for them, and what to do in case of any issues, such as dropping them.
We left feeling that we had received complete and comprehensive information, and my son now feels much more confident thanks to Mark’s guidance.
I would highly recommend Boots Opticians Wigan (Robin Park), and I strongly believe that Mark is a valuable member of your team who deserves recognition for his outstanding service.
Thank you for such a positive experience.

My mum has had almost a 3 week wait for her new glasses. Normally wouldn't be an issue but she is unable to use her current frames. And this after I recommended Boots to her. Very disappointing.
UPDATE 14/4/26, despite several phone calls and a whole heap of promises, we are still waiting. This is the worst service I have ever received from any opticians!!
The only option now left is to cancel and seek a refund.

The Fargate, Sheffield branch had already replaced the lens which had fallen out of my glasses, which were several years old, and free of charge.
I took them back when the lens fell out again and the branch completely replaced the frames, again free of charge.
Both visits were same day repairs.
Excellent after sales service, thank you.

Helping with contact lenses were great and so comfortable to wear John whom helped me to tutorial was awsome and patient video was provided incase I forgot how to use contact lenses taking it out and putting it in staff friendly and especially now with new shop exciting more spec to choose a must place to visit also manageress Hayley Higgins was above and beyond making sure I benefited the rewards scheme and always above and beyond helping me and listening to my needs and requirements on optical products a definitely a Must to visit new shop in Huddersfield

Boots Opticians Strood Kent are staffed by roaming Optometrists. What is missing is precise written diagnosis rather than vague oral comments. The emphasis is to direct their customers to make excessively expensive choices without explaining first time that these may have little effect on their customers practical ability to see where they want to see. After undergoing this process my perfectly valid Credit Card was rejected and a Void Receipt was produced, leading to much anxiety until I was assured by my Credit Card provider that my PIN was correct and payment amount acceptable considering my credit limit.

I recently had an eye test at my local boots opticians I was attended to by Keira and Wendy who were both very professional (especially Keira)with my needs.
In20 years of visiting more well-known
High Street opticians I have never received such attention and Care. I would just like to say thank you.
The opticians was in Portsmouth city Centre and I would encourage anybody who wants her eyes attended to professionally with the care and consideration I received to attend this branch. Many thanks again and I hope your company appreciates your hard work and gives you the recognition you deserve thank you.

I have a complaint about the Crystal Peaks store.
I signed up in Oct 2025 and had an eye test for the contact lens rewards scheme.
I had an eye test at that time and awaited my initial supply of lens.
From Dec 2025 I kept getting emails saying I needed another eye test. Which was confusing as no one had said anything to me about this and I had not even had my first supply of lens.
I rang up ( I had to ring the central office which took three attempts. They are useless and I will actively go out my way to never ring them again)
So I had a second eye test in Jan 2026
My next supply of lens is due now. I noticed when I login that it said my lens would go into store which I thought was odd as I’ve had a recent eye test.
So as I was going into another store I went and asked. They checked and said all was fine.
I then get a email to say my lens are going into store as I have not had an eye test.
So i ring the store. The
lady wasn’t that helpful until I pressed her to check the system. She then told me the system had been changed and she corrected it so my lens would come to me.
Today I receive a email to say my lens have been delivered but not to my house to the store.
I again ring up to be told I need to collect them (why this isn’t my fault)
And that I need to ring the central office to make sure this doesn’t happen again (why? )
I’m really unhappy with this.
I will now not have any lens to take on holiday with me
I feel I have been dismissed and no one has sorted this out in a reasonable manner.
I do not think the amount of phone calls I’ve had to make is acceptable or being told to come pick my lens up is the right response ( I live 20 mins away it’s not a quick visit and I have 2 young children)
The whole point was I signed up as it was convenient to have my lens delivered
None of this has been convenient

A very helpful and knowledgeable lady called Vrindha helped and advised me when choosing 2 pairs of spectacles.
She took time to explain why certain frames were not suitable for varifocal lenses. I tried on several different types, and she helped me decide which shapes suited my face. She was very patient and didn't rush me into making my decision. Her focus on me, as the customer was first class and I would highly recommend seeking her out if you are in the Watford store.

I’ve been using boots opticians for a few years , today I had a my first eye exam with Sabbia, who was great , she’s professional, knowledgeable and thorough.
Sabbia addressed my concerns and reassured me, explaining the images and advising best drops for dry eyes.
Rav then took over to assist in choosing frames that are light weight and work best for my face shape. Rav was lovely, engaging , patient and helpful, she collected numerous designs to try, reassured me on my choice, went on to take more images and explain them fully.
These appointments are not something I look forward to or actually enjoy generally, however due to these to lovely women what a pleasant experience it was. Thank you both, Mandi xx

From the email & post reminder through to the eye test,everything was really good and professional.From being greeted at the door all the way to having the eye test was very professional ,the lady’s we’re very polite & the ,optimistic Neil was also very caring & explained the pictures of my eye photos,putting me at ease,as I was a bit concerned as to weather all was ok,but he explained that all was fine.once again many thanks to all the crew,

Thoroughly fed up with Boots Opticians. Joined their 'contact lens rewards plan' 2 years ago. Was getting pulled in for lens reviews every 3 months despite wearing lenses for 30 years. Messages via WhatsApp appeared to help and with a follow up call it was agreed yearly lens review was all that was required. This just seems to have stopped sending me lenses by post, but of course are STILL taking direct debits. I called and tried WhatsApp, who are both saying they can't help, go to the other one to sort it out. Ridiculous. I'll go OUT MY WAY to the shop to sort this out (hopefully) and get a refund and find another optician. No doubt, when I get to the shop there will be no one qualified to help. BTW, their WhatsApp service that THEY offered.
