DON'T ORDER ON-LINE WITH CO-OP FOOD !
Amongst other things I orders 2 Meal Deals costing £8.20, but on delivery the Co-op failed to include the actual sandwiches quoting Out-of-Stock, but they then charged me £7.60 for the drinks & snacks. I rang their customer services assuming they would refund me the over payment only to be told that it says in their T&Cs that they will charge the full amount for items if deals are not complete !
Well any company that stitches their customers up like that doesn't deserve my business anymore !

Visited coop tamworth off Ashby Road. There was one female cashier on. I could see she was putting together a home delivery. At no time whilst she was behind the counter did she look at me to acknowledge I was there. She turned around to log in some details so her back was facing me. I don't mind waiting. But she refused just to acknowledge I was waiting. Her demeanor was very rude. She finally served me. There were self check ins, but I was having a particular bad day with my arthritis, so chose to be served. All she needed to do was look up, and tell me she would be with me in a minute. She deliberately chose not to, leaving me wondering if I was suppose to use the self scans. Just a nod to me would have been enough. Then I would know she knew I was there, although I'm sure she knew this. Don't like to give bad reviews, but just a bit a friendly nod was all that was needed.

I regularly visit the co- op store early evening and buy a few items,on this particular occasion I was in the store on Friday the 19th of December at 5.30 and was served at the checkout by a female assistant who prior to scanning my goods coughed heavily twice into her hand and then proceeded to handle my goods ,scan them and place as is usual on the counter ,God knows how many times she has done the same horrifically unhygienic procedure that day ,is it appropriate to have members of staff who are clearly ill serving customers and potentially spreading their virus ...needless to say the items I purchased went straight into the Bin.
Maybe a memo to co-op staff is required.

Hello I want to inform about one harassment with Co-op Elm Park specially 2 guys Ryan and Darren they still continuing 2 months ago with this and disturb everyone peaceful. I hope they will put stop with this action. They should seen town business not to check what other doing. 🥲🥲

Ordered some shopping online which never turned up and never got an explanation why! Hopefully they will give me a refund!!!

In the morning, around 7:20 AM, I visited the Co-op in Ifield to buy some food. When I entered the store, there was no one on the shop floor. A staff member saw me but then went inside without acknowledging my presence. I repeatedly asked, "Is anyone here?" but received no response. I continued to say that I needed to pay.

After a while, the lady came back outside. She did not apologize for my wait and told me that I needed to wait, saying it was not her problem. Her demeanor was quite rude, and when I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. She told me to go away, displaying a very disrespectful attitude.

Co op claims to be for the public, for local residents however they have removed the cash self checkout machines. Not really looking out for the public is it? I normally go in everyday. I wont anymore unless cash is accepted at the self checkout. I don't want to queue for ages at a till no one is waiting at. No thank you, i will take my money elsewhere.

My local co-op is the worst in the world I put three or four deliveries in there over a week every time there is something wrong I can’t get back to them when I do send a meter emails I never receive anything back from them they are completely useless I would never ever shop at the co-op again even if it was the the last shop on Earth absolutely useless I know their delivery company is just eat between them now absolutely useless

Cancelled my membership and won't shop their anymore since their anti semetic policy on removing Israeli Jewish products. They've caved in to the hate brigade which is abhorrent. Plus far too expensive become. Shame on them!

Langley Mill Derbyshire. Why offer a parcel service but then refuse to accept parcels. Rude staff. No alternative offered, in fact they didnt even ask which courier before saying they werent taking any. Awful service. I wont be using them again.

23/10/25 waiting on staff to serve tobacco as never anyone at checkouts/ kiosk eventually severed by Bianca, she's talking to me eating food, I told her that her customer service is disgusting, unprofessional, I waited for her to finish eating to be served

Well disabled man in knebweorth in wheelchair bag had split and his goods fell on pavement i pop in to the store and said man in wheelchair bag had split i asked if could take one for him young man replied no they are 10p each i was shocked where's the humanity in this store i mean a plastic bag not even a good one absolutely disgraceful you should be ashamed i know they money to make but still you probably throw some away any case disgraceful

I chose Co-op for ethical reasons, because of their support for Palestine and not Israel. This was my first order, a substantial bulk of food that I wouldn't assume to be very transportable by pushbike - I was told the driver had set off on pushbike when I rang them to track it when the order never came and there was no further email or update on the website. I was told it was an Uber or Deliveroo service, and then I was told the couriers had declined the order because the radius was not in a reachable area. This made no sense, they get the post code when the order is being submitted. I asked from which Co-op was it dispatched. First I was given an address of a Co-op far out, and then given my local Co-op's address (a 15 minute walk from me). He did not even know which one. I am shy of ordering a home delivery from Co-op again.

Purchased Co-op Soft White Buns on 26 July 2025. While eating one I bit into a hard black plastic piece that was baked inside the bun, not on the surface. It caused dental pain and aggravated an existing filling.

I reported it to Co-op the same day, sent the product, packaging, and receipt as requested, and have been chasing ever since. Despite formal escalation and even the Food Standards Agency copying Co-op into correspondence, I’ve had no update or apology after two months.

This is a serious food-safety issue, and I’ve now referred it to Environmental Health and Trading Standards. I’m appalled at the lack of response from a retailer of this size.

Took £55 from my account for home delivery as I am unwell. Hours later had £11 worth of food delivered and told they won't give me the rest of my money back for 7-10 days. Why the delay? They took it quick enough, for food the wasn't available. Even an extra £5 incase they substituted anything. Getting it 4 hours late was nothing compared to the cheek of keeping my money for an extra 7 to 10 days. Would not home shop with these again. Know if no other supermarket that does this.

I used the auto teller cash machine at the co op store to withdraw some cash as it advertised fee free. I reluctantly accepted that my bank was going to charge me £3.99. However my bank statement showed £6.99. A
total rip-off and false advertising.

Very high prices considering they claim to be owned by the people
£3 for a bar of chocolate when the same bar is £2 a few hundred yards down the road will only use it in future if desperate

I lived in Kelsall , Cheshire for a year and regularly shopped at the Co op , I moved away and a couple Saturdays ago I went back. It was lovely to be remembered and greeted by the lovely lady on the checkout . All the staff young and older were always friendly and helpful running the very busy Post Office as well as the shop . There is quite an elderly population in Kelsall and surrounding area and the staff show care and patience to all . Pleasure to shop here , thank you all.

Beans and sausage , but they forgot the sausage!

So much for a co-operative, some of the highest prices you can find the in the UK.
