Costa Rica Expeditions Reviews

These "guys" did an outstanding job of putting together a great vacation for us in Costa Rica on only 2 weeks notice. All the guides and drivers were on time and great people. Actually one of the best parts of the trip was the guides and drivers; knowledgeable, friendly, and fascinating people to know. I miss them.
Yes, it costs a bit more (maybe 10-15%) to have them "do" your vacation, but money well spent, trust me. I'd do it again anytime.

Great experience. All members of the team; from drivers, hotel staff and nature guides, are top notch. Starting with a seamless pick up at the airport to the final transfer from small plane to international airport, All was smooth. We would highly recommend Costa Rica Expeditions to anyone who asks. Many memories to last a lifetime.

Excellent experience.
Professional, efficient. Always on time.
Good advise, good guides. The trip was tailored to our requests.
If we are lucky to visit Costa Rica again, will definitely use their services.

Hands down the best experience our team has had traveling! We had a fairly large group and they took care of every detail and customized it to fit our wants and needs. Our team travels yearly together and we still talk about what a great experience this trip was and how easy Costa Rica Expeditions made it for us. Would definitely recommend them!

Excellent company. We had a dream vacation with no hiccups. They are expensive but certainly you can count on a worry free vacation. I would highly recommend them. The lodge at Tortuguero is a must! A little slice of paradise for sure.

From my first visit to the website and its interest questionnaire I was impressed with Costa Rica Expeditions. Our travel planner, Luis, understood exactly the type of experience my family wanted and CRE delivered a wonderful memorable personalized trip that went off without a hitch and exceeded our expectations. All of the lodges were lovely, the local guides were knowledgeable and professional and the drivers were careful and punctual. Every day, we knew what to expect in advance so there were no surprises other than the good ones of being amazed by our surroundings and sightings of the abundant local birds and animals.

CRE put together a wonderful customized trip for us. Accommodations, drivers, activities were all first-class, no glitches. Highly recommend!

This is the 2nd time I’ve used there services and will again in the future. Awesome service!

I booked with Costa Rica Expeditions in 2016 for a Costa Rica adventure in 2017 to celebrate my 60th birthday! The agent worked with me to create a dream trip specifically tailored to me! Through the year prior to the trip they kept in contact with me and checked the accommodations for continuing quality. When one of the hotels seemed to fall below their high standards, they quickly booked me into a better hotel at no extra cost. I highly recommend this company to anyone who really wants to experience Costa Rica's best accommodations, activities (hiking, white water rafting, zip line, hanging bridges), and transportation. I traveled alone and had no fear. They were in contact with the hotels along the way and kept me informed as to each day's adventure. Friendly, helpful, caring staff.

They made perfect travel arrangements to allow us to visit the east coast, Arenal area and west coast in a week!

Best trip ever! They arranged everything for us to make a perfect vacation. It was not cheap but worth every penny.

Our trip through Costa Rica expedition was amazing. We had a complete worry-free experience and would recommend their company without any reservation what so ever

I worked with Elena on my trip to Costa Rica and she was so helpful with any and all information I needed. The aspect I most appreciate from working with Elena and Costa Rica Expeditions is the smooth transition from one city to another as we traveled to many different cities. The trip was smooth for the most part from beginning to end, and when things didn't go exactly as planned, even due to weather conditions, Costa Rica Expeditions stepped up to make sure I felt good with what I was getting and experiencing with my vacation. The customer service is bar none!

A very professional organisation who looked after us from first contact right through our superb holiday. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone thinking of visiting Costa Rica.

An excellent travel experience. Costa Rica Expeditions took the time to get to know what type of vacation we were looking for and tailored a first class travel experience. When we experienced a hiccup in the middle of our trip they responded to my email immediately and the owner called within an hour to address the situation. Within 2 hours they had completely Re-booker the latter part of our vacation. An unexpected travel bonus was just how much stress they took off me. I am used to coordinating the transfers and excursions on vacation. I did not have to worry about a thing. They were very well organized and sent a reminder the each day to remind us of the next days pick up times etc. stress free despite visiting 3 different areas of CR in one week.

We had an incredible time with Costa Rica Expeditions. The tours, transfers, accommodations, and activities were all first rate. We highly recommend this company and already have to many friends and family.

They did a wonderful job. Our vacation was great, with no problems. We loved all the hotels and activities. The guides were very knowledgeable.

We had the best time in Costa Rica with Costa Rica Expeditions. They were very in tune with what we wanted and customized our trip towards the budget we wanted to spend. All the guides were wonderful and very in tune with their areas. We saw animals that we wouldn’t have been able to see without them. Each place we stayed, when we checked in, there was a letter waiting for us with our set itinerary so there would be no confusion. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in going to Costa Rica.

From my first call to Costa Rica Expeditions and even to our return home they gave us superior treatment. Thank you!

Fantastic - Take all of their advice. I would recommend this company (and have already) to anyone.
