I have been a client of Denplan for 37 years and never regretted joining. I have been able to obtain an appointment at short notice and seen by a patient-friendly dentist.

Everything. Unfortunately , their service does not even deserve a single star. No response to claims . Despite being given all the information, they use an excuse that they cannot find the dentist (not registered) or some other excuse. Regretful, will be cancelling the damn thing. Claim outstanding since September 2025.
It has been further number of attempts and calls. Submitted invoices , bank statements but same old response to submit and nice in a special way. Damn damn damn. This service that I have been paying for last 3 years and only one claim and this company dragging their feet as …….. I have been trying to call and endless bots just can not understand, cannot understand, with going no where . I am requesting to cancel and again literally stuck , cannot do anything . If a get a treatment , I pay and then on top , monthly I pay to this crap Den plan. Emails after emails and no action , how convenient it is for these big companies. Save your time and money if you can. Stay away from dem plan.

After spending ridiculous amount of time going back and forth from Denplan and my dental practice to get any money back, they then don't pay. I will be reconsidering this plan.

Do not join. All is fine when you pay the monthly fee to them but the moment you make a claim they make you go back and forth trying to find any way not to pay out. Absolute waste of money and one of the worst dental plans I’ve come across who do not even have a clue how dentists operate these days in terms of appointments!!

Unfortunately my denture plate broke in half whilst I was in Spain. After a visit to the local dentist a new plate was made for me in less than a week and I made a claim through Denplan. The claiming is straightforward and I have already received confirmation that my claim has been successful. This plan also covers our dental treatments at home which are first class, so I have nothing but praise for them.

My plan hasn't started yet, but the process of it being set up was very easy and the paperwork arrived quickly and was all correct. So far so god.

Very poor service. It would appear the main aim is to administer payment. They do not ensure the dental practice is able to carry out work.

I was away from home with a dental
emergency and in a lot of pain, the Denplan representative was very kind, caring and very helpful, clearly explaining next steps.
Within around 1.5 hours an emergency appointment had been arranged at a brilliant dentist about 20 mins away & I was treated.
I’m awaiting my claim so can’t comment on that process but it was easy enough to submit the docs online.

Due to aNatWest Bank error on my elderly sister’s account ,this company have sent a letter saying that her plan had been cancelled.However an earlier letter stated that the direct debit had been reinstated.
I called them on her behalf and asked if I could pay whatever is outstanding.The answer was NO! Even though I said that because of her ill health it might be difficult for her to call,they simply said that she would have to as they needed to go through the Plan in detail again.
My conversation was like watching an episode of Little Britain where the ‘advisor’ simply says “the computer says no!’
So what should I believe? Is the plan cancelled as letter stated or that the Plan has been reinstated in another letter.
Bureaucracy gone mad!

I’ve been a Denplan customer for over 20 years. Had an amazing dentist and was treated well and helped with any emergency. Last year the dentist practice changed hands. Wasn’t given any notice of this until I went for my appt. It was ok but very rushed. Second check was a nightmare. They were running very late. I was sat in the chair, no greeting to explanation of what he was going to do. Tapped me on the side of my mouth to open it. Then stuck in a xray thing and they left the room. Came back in and then said it needed to have a new filling with as the tooth was cracked and a cap which would coast over £300. I said I hadn’t got that money as I was clearing a large vet bill. He then proceeded to say when will you get the money and asked me at least 5 times. I apologised and said I didn’t know, he asked again. I said good bye and left. That’s over six months ago and I can’t have any further check ups until this payment has been made. Still paying the full amount to Denplan. I rung their customer service to see if I could change dentist, again this is very hard as you have to go back to see the same dentist, who I never chose in the first place and want his money. I also suffered a cracked tooth which split in two and was very painful. Guess what, it wasn’t the tooth he said. It’s a shame as they used to be so good.

Have a Denplan policy through work for my family and I. Only recently used it and I must say the process for submitting claims and subsequent authorisation and payment has been seamless. Very timely and efficient, generally paid within 7 days time which I think is great.
Have recently contacted Denplan via the live chat to query coverage for a bite plate, thanks to Sarah for answering my questions. Great service from start to finish.

My NHS Dentist contacted me to say that unless I took out a plan, I would be removed from their Client list 🤷♂️
So I took out a Denplan subscription in order to preserve my place at a good Dental Surgery
In a whole year, I received no contact from anybody about anything (until I stopped paying them, when they suddenly made immediate contact !)
So I am left feeling that this is a scam with no discernible benefit - what was I paying for ? 🤔
