Both fridge and freezer stopped cooling/freezing just after the warranty ran out, how very convenient, seems to be many convenients with everybody else who purchased the product from this company. Two blackbags full of food as it's now all ruined, and now we have this giant piece of junk that will be a struggle to get rid of.
Now with the cost of living we have no food, no fridge or freezer, no money, and no way of replacing or getting rid of this piece of junk.

Built in fridge lasted year and half tops. Last brand did 10+. Looking at the reviews on here seams a very common outcome.

Absolute rubbish. Bought 2 fridge freezers for rental properties and they have both broken.

1 lasted 15 months and the other 5 months.

Customer service has been very unhelpful.

I bought a Fridgemaster 178 Litre Freestanding Fridge Freezer just over a year ago and at first seemed to be great until the weather turned cold and it stopped working, not having read in the blurb that this can occur if the ambient temperature is less than 16 degrees, (which it does state in the leaflet) so as I have to keep it in my hall due to my small living accommodation it constantly cuts out in cold weather, I’m resorted to having to use a dehumidifier 24/7, or replace it as it’s not fit for purpose I have never had to question ambient temperature before as lots of appliances are kept in garages etc, and it’s been very disappointing that they build appliances that are so sensitive especially when the cost of energy is constantly rising. Would not recommend at all!

I would give no stars if that was an option like everyone else that has written a review i wish I had read them before purchasing absolute rubbish product I purchased a fridge freezer last August just packed up less than 6 months do not purchase anything from these people I am in the process of taking it further I will not let them get away with this

Don't bother I bought a fridge freezer February last year.
It is broke already I have had to wait 9 days for an engineer I have lost the entire contents of both fridge and freezer.

They are very unapologetic. Whilst they said I can have 100 quid to replace the food as the fridge is still broken and an engineer due today there is no guarantee it can be fixed. But also as it is under warranty I asked for a refund so I could buy a new one they said no. Disgusting 'Service' can't wait till get rid of it to buy a different make. I've literally got no food now.

I bought a fridge freezer from ao it was fridgemaster. It was delivered on 5/10/23 and 2 days ago put milk in the compartment on the door and the piece that holds compartment fell off. I have been on the fone and been told it is not there fault it is mine and it won't be getting fixed. Cost £319 and lasted 3 months. Woman on fone was very rude and then she told me there's nothing they can do and then just hung up fone on me and won't answer now. Absolutely disgusting customer service and would recommend never to buy from them. Totally shocking and unacceptable behaviour from any company to treat customers in this way. Now left with a broken fridge freezer and can't get it fixed.

I have tried to get in contact with them for over 2 months now and have never received any response.

Ordered a Fridgemaster fridge freezer from AO which was delivered on time and we made sure we followed all the instructions in the book religiously on arrival.

Device was put in place with plenty of room around it, left off for 5 hours after delivery to allow the gases to settle, device then left plugged in and we left it overnight to settle down. We put in an ice cube tray with water to help us monitor it. In the morning the water froze and all was fine. During the day it completely defrosted with the ice cubes turning back to water. This has happened twice more in the 3 days since we've had it with the freezer completely defrosting.

Naturally we called AO customer services and spoke to Sophie who was nice on the phone but eventually of no help. We ended up on a three way call with FridgeMaster/HiSense (same brand if you didn't know) whereby the first engineer blamed it on the temperature in the kitchen which is 20 degrees during the day and 13 degrees overnight when nobody is in it. This is controlled by thermostatic heater and I can monitor each room in an app on my phone and I can categorically state the room never goes out of this range. The first engineer says the device is only rated between 16 degrees centigrade and 32 degrees centigrade this is known as the climate class and it it is on page 8 of the manual. The line to the FridgeMaster engineer "mysteriously" cut off after this and Sophie said she'd get reconnected and call me back which to her credit she did. During this time I checked the AO website where we purchased the device and comparing it to the manual the device can actually operate between 10 degrees and 32 degrees as it is class SN to N so our kitchen is fine.

The call gets reconnected and we have another FridgeMaster/HiSense engineer on the phone and we go through the same checklist do the doors close, was there any damage, did you let it rest for 4 hours after delivery and that all checked out fine. So we get back to the temeprature thing and I point out the room temperature range is actually 10 degrees to 32 degrees and they acknowledge this. The new tactic they use is that as the room changes from 13-20 degrees this is an "enormous" change in temperature and the freezer can't handle it, despite the fact the operating range of the freezer is 10-32 degrees. According to FridgeMaster the room the freezer is in needs to stay at the same temperature all the time 24/7 or the freezer won't work. This is news to me as my two previous freezers have never had a problem and in fact used to work down to minus temperatures. I point out to Sophie this is nonsense and expecting a house in the UK to maintain the same temperature all the time is impractical and also costly. At no point in the manual or on the website is this mentioned just that it needs to be in the ambient range which it is. So basically at this point they are just making it up.

As a "good will" gesture they are willing to send out an engineer but the soonest they can do it is more than 3 weeks away. Personally they have delivered a faulty product and an engineer visit is not good will but their responsibility IMHO. Point out to Sophie that expecting a family of four to have no means of freezing food for over 3 weeks is in my view unacceptable and I want it replaced under the consumer rights act of 2015 under the 30 day scheme saying the goods are not fit for purpose. She refuses saying they need the engineer site visit to confim it is faulty and apparently quite happy to leave my family at risk from food poisoning for over 3 weeks.

So in short don't buy any FridgeMaster/HiSense freezers unless you have them in an environmentally controlled room that never changes temperature and don't buy from AO unless you are willing to put up with potential food poisoning for an extended period of time as your food freezes and unfreezes uncontrollably. AO were willing to pick up the device but only if we payed them £49 for restocking and £49 for pick up so essentially £100 to pick up a product not fit for purpose, I am seriously considering this offer.

I have had my fridge and freezer for 5 years now and am really satisfied with them both.
In this time I have defrosted the freezer once. It is due another one fairly soon.
The fridge, under counter, is very good, quiet and efficient and does exactly what it should do.
They both work really well and were not expensive.
I cannot put in the date area but I have had them from April 2019 - present day

Really bad! Do not buy there fridge freezers! Warning warning warning. We bought an American style fridge freezer from very.co.uk. It as been working fine then 18 months after purchase it as stopped working , spoke to a local engineer who said the gas as gone in it and it’s cannot be fixed. In order to claim under the consumer purchase act for appliances that should last minimum of 6 years. They want to send one of there engineers out that they outsource to another company who charge you £95!! For the privilege of saying we cannot fix it! But you cannot claim until you let there engineers come out to confirm what you already know! They do not car once there product as been bought. Avoid avoid avoid

Bought fridge/freezer from AO in Oct22, in Dec 22 found all food in the freezer floating. Contacted AO by phone & complained, they asked me where the f/f was kept & told them it was in my kitchen, they asked if the temperature in the kitchen ever droped below 6° I replied "yes its winter & could drop below that when I'am away from home" they said due to type of gas in the freezer it will not work in temperatures below 6°.(Never heard of this before) I got it going again a few months later. Same thing happened again last week so I have had to move it into a cupboard which I have had to have insulated. AO should be ashamed for selling a product like this. My advice is GIVE AO & FRIDGE MASTER A WIDE BIRTH

Purchased a 'Fridgemaster MS91520ES Total No Frost American Fridge Freezer' from AO.com and it has failed after just 2 years. The freezer section no longer freezes, it gets cold but no longer freezes the food unless it is kept right up against the back wall in the middle of the freezer section which constantly ices up (the top and bottom of this section just gets cool) . we are using the rest of the freezer section as the 'fridge' for storing milk, etc. because the fridge section of the fridgefreezer only gets to around 8 degrees (we've checked with thermometer). We've turned off the freezer for 24 hours, cleaned it thoroughly inside and out. Let it dry out and still the issue remains - most of the freezer section gets cold but not enough to freeze food, just that back wall in the middle. No help at all from Fridgemaster, they don't even reply to emails. We will avoid all fridgemaster products from here on.

Don't think I need to say anything really, it's all said below. Brought my Fridgemaster MS91515BFF from AO.com and yes after 2 years the freezer won't freeze enought to keep my frozen food safe..... what a joke. AO.com should be ashamed for selling this product, knowing well, they are very faulty and unsafe. At least give a 3 years warranty, no wonder it only has 1.

Bought an American fridge freezer for over £800 bran new after 14 months the fridge and freezer constantly goes on and off, I only received a 12 month warrantee with the appliance. I can’t get hold of anyone by email or phone from their customer service the last few weeks. After reading all these other reviews I wish I give this company a wide birth, how are they get getting away with producing such poor products ?

About 3 years ago I bought a Fridgemaster FMZ4891630 American Style fridge freezer. After 11 months the temperature within the unit started fluctuating dramatically causing items in the fridge section to freeze, then thaw, then freeze again. As the unit was within warranty I contacted Fridemaster who sent an engineer out. After 3 more visits from engineers over several weeks the problem was unresolved. I explained to Fridgmaster that I felt there product was a health hazard due to the freezing/thawing of meat, dairy and other products. They agreed to replace my fridge freezer and a replacement arrived. This replacement lasted 21 months and has failed ruining about £100 worth of food. My experience of Fridgemaster is very negative.

bought a fridgemaster from aol who were great but the fridgemaster fridge should've been put in the skip would've saved me a job, water drips all over the place the fridge wants to fall over if you put stuff in the door shelves or shut the door to hard, I have levelled the thing but to flimsy all in a £194 piece of junk, tried to contact fridgemaster but get cut off after waiting 20mins on phone, their service would appear to be as good as their product.. not impressed fridgemaster

Purchased a fridge and freezer from A O . Com it was delivered on time to my 89 yr old mums . Installed by me next day all good for 3 days clicking heard by mum I said it is probably just when it switches on !. Got a text the following day all food floating and it’s not working at all. AO transfer you to the manufacturer . They require you to pull the freezer out and provide the serial number , 23 digits long ( this is not easy if you don’t live there) then you get all the questions . They say they need the answers before sending an engineer! I don’t want it re worked or refurbished I want a new one as it’s only a week old . Then got hung up on . I’m going to buy my mum a new one and will go legal on this.
Mum also lost 3 lots of mince 1 portion of salmon and belly pork all vegetables gone as well .

(Update finally got an uplift from fridge master as it was less than 28 days old , they made it sound as if they were doing me a favor) AO then had to be contacted with the uplift number ! The lady at AO was very helpfull and got one shipped out to me the next day and other one picked up , just got to go and install it now 🙄 .

After careful consideration I went for a fridgemaster fridge freezer, it looked OK in the pictures,I bought this one as it was meant to have a fairly big freezer space but soon as I got it I pulled the freezer trays out and everyone of them were cut in half as all their trays have a slant at the back of the tray making it alot smaller than anything else I've ever had also very very awkward to stack anything in there, I am absolutely fuming about it ,they describe it with alot mode freezer space than you actually get ,there is no reason why I can think of why they needed to do this ,who ever designed this should be sacked on the spot ,it's almost like they didn't want to spend any more money on this so they've cut corners, literally, never ever buy this make again

Bought a fridge master American style, it's lasted a year at most.
It doesn't cool enough to even keep milk for more than 1 day.
Food placed in the freezer is barely chilled leaving things unsafe to eat.

Wish I had read these reviews online before purchasing now.
