Adding to the chorus of disappointment on these pages, I have to report similar problems with the Fridgemaster MS83430ffs model I bought. It lasted only 2.5 years before having to be scrapped. The temperature regulation went haywire (freezer getting warm at top, and not auto-defrosting, fridge side too cold) long before that! To save yourself valuable time and stress, don't bother contacting the manufacturer or their service agents, or trawling the internet for hours for solutions and spare parts, as I did: it's not designed to be fixed, key parts are impossible to identify properly and/or not available (though the same model is still being sold for £550-600!). Give up now, and never touch a Fridgemaster product again (advice which probably extends to fridges made by Hisense, too, as they now own Fridgemaster). Hoping to be luckier with my next choice 😕

Avoid!!! Was so excited to get my new fridge freezer but within a year it couldn’t stay cold enough and food got ruined. Once fixed, I’ve now had to deal with a shelf shattering into thousands of pieces for absolutely no reason and Fridgemaster don’t even care! Rang twice to report and they are not interested and been given the wrong email address 3 times. The shelf issue could be fatal if a child had happened to open the fridge that day. I had glass stuck in my finger for a week. Health and safety issue and they don’t care. Avoid!!!

I have had an engineer out three times in the last two months . The fridge part is freezing and so is the food . The guy said that there was nothing else to replace and if it didn't work he has no idea what's wrong . Just spoke to them today and I've been told they are sending out a senior engineer .

Bought from Ao, fridge freezer dumped out side , The Driver (not my job to take in side ) 3 stars, so far so good but reading other reviews on here, We will see…,I’m now worried in 18 months time the fridge will have faults. IM NOT PAY £200 for ENGINEER TO COME OUT IF I HAVE A BREAKDOWN.

Fridge freezer has been broken for three weeks, three engineers have attended the property and I’ve had to take time off work to be in and they haven’t been able to diagnose the fault. It’s hot inside the fridge and I cannot store food in it. Company won’t help as they said the engineer couldn’t diagnose the fault so basically not their problem. Have had it for two months. DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY. The customer service is absolutely disgusting and so unhelpful. I am faced with the prospect of having to pay for an engineer to come and fix it properly, or potentially buying a new fridge.

I wish , I wish, I wish, I had seen these reviews before I purchased mine, it’s less than 3 years old and expected at least double that life at least. To add to my misery of paying for another fridge/ freezer 3 kids ( no choice) my washing machine broke 2 weeks ago ( was LG & 9 years old so had my monies worth. Brought a new one and just discovered by reading this it’s made by the same company as these ahhhhhhh. God help me

Bought a Fridgemaster fridge/freezer in Sept 2020. It failed a couple of weeks ago, at less than two and a half years old. The problem is a failed control board; it turns out that the control board is obselescent and spares aren't available. So effectively the fridge/freezer is scrap, and will have to be replaced. Its bad enough that it failed after less than two and a half years, but appalling that it can't be repaired. Shocking brand best avoided.

Bought a fridge freezer (MC50165F) from AO.com in May 2022 - the freezer had stopped working by Feb 2023. Fridgemaster refused to repair or replace under the manufacturer's warranty because it was located in the garage - where it is apparently "too cold" for the compressor (although our previous Samsung freezer coped just fine for 15 years). This was diagnosed by custom service staff over the telephone - not by an engineer (they refused to send one out) - and was not made clear prior to purchase. Appalling service. Terrible product. Avoid.

Bought a frdge/freezer it wasn't fit for purpose. Kept defrosting and I was throwing food away. Phoned helpline and was told put the heating on and try it. The woman then said goodbye and hung up. What an absolute joke.. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY..!!!

MC55264AF stopped working after 13 months. Says it all really. It's not clear when you purchase it that it needs an ambient temperature above 16°C. It's not till the freezer has defrosted that you see this in the user manual trouble shooting guide. Had I known this I would have bought a BEKO brand as they guarantee an operating temperature of down to minus 15°C. So it's pretty useless putting this Fridgemaster in a garage, annex or conservatory. One star is being generous I'd have given it zero if this was an option. Not only have I wasted good money on this useless product I've lost food that's gone to waste too.

Absolutely piece of rubbish, defrosts water all the time then freezes . Wouldn't waste money buy something a little better.

I bought a brand new fridge freezer in March and it has stopped working. I have rung several times and tried all the solutions given to me, yet it has stopped working three times now.

I have had to throw away THREE food shops, in a cost of living crisis, as a 24 year old on minimum wage who has just bought my first house.

I now have NO working fridge or freezer, no food in my house, and they won't replace the faulty fridge. They insist on sending an engineer to look at it, but the earliest they can send one is in over a week!

I was advised that someone would contact me regarding booking the engineer, no one did. I was also told someone would contact me regarding compensation for the food thrown away, no one did.

I am in floods of tears at work, with no idea what to do or eat over the next week, and the lady on the phone could not care less.

DISGUSTING SERVICE. I will be complaining on every platform. I am still in my warranty so you should send me a replacement for my faulty fridge URGENTLY!

i have recently brought a American style fridge freezer, no problem i love it trouble i have is the delivery drivers have damaged it,and scratched my door they didnt have a clue getting old one out even borrowed tools i needed freezer had no food have health issues,the freezer is dented you cant see it unless you looking for it so i took option for compensation,still waiting to here from company

DO NOT BUY A FRIDGEMASTER FRIDGE FREEZER.
These fridge freezers seem to have built in obsolescence, either through poor workmanship and/or poor/cheap components. This causes their fridge freezers not to last and breakdown well before they should.

My fridgefreezer failed in just under 3 years!! this is NOT good enough! A
A product such as my fridge freezer (MC55251M) should last many more years than that.

My advice is to spend a little more and get another make. All of these negative reviews are there for a reason!

You should also remember that a failing fridge freezer also means the loss of all the food stored within it which for many, will add up to an additional losss of £50 +.

I am on my second fridge freezer in a year. First one lasted 8 months before failing to keep food cool. Replaced and four months later same thing happening. Setting three and 12 degrees Celsius. If you turn it to four it gets hotter. Not fit for function . I have to wait two weeks over the Christmas period when I need a fridge to get an engineer in. I will never buy this brand again

Exact same thing as most of the reviewers are saying.
Bought this fridge freezer 7 months ago and at a lovely toasty 11 degrees inside the fridge.
Very/littlewoods saying it will take 14 days at least to investigate and collect and I will be left without a fridge until new year

I wouldn’t bother. Fridge master fridges don’t work unless the room temperature is 16 degrees or higher so basically it doesn’t work when it’s cold which is 50% of the year

Avoid. Bought fridge freezer mc50165S51 in February 2020, now November 2022 not working, had minimal use as work away 50% of the time.

Literally just packed up in cold weather conveniently one month after warranty run out!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Hughes retail are gonna be getting a mouthful

Rude incompetent staff. Inferior quality product. Waited 2 weeks for repair eating take out on fridge freezer. Repair man came,thermostat gone ( on 8 month old machine under warranty) but doesn't have the part. Next appointment in 2 weeks on 21/12/22. No one cares. Managed to get quicker apt myself by calling Pacifica myself who moved it to the 14/12/22. Still not good enough. Customer services ( foreign call centre) put the phone down every time they answered or put me on hold for 30 mins... Then put the phone down. Never ever again ! I've sent a complaint to them and expect a response and compensation for the take aways. I cannot shop daily I cannot walk and waiting for adaptations, I'm stuck in the house.
