Ordered a coat which was graded as Very Good. Made sure that the seller accepted returns if it wasn't right, and the listing clearly stated 14 day returns, and that payment would not be sent to the seller if me the buyer isn't happy. Coat had not been cleaned ever it seemed, and had quite noticeable marks on the arms. Requested a return 2 days after receiving it. 4 days and 7 emails later, I'm still waiting for instructions on how to return. They say they are reviewing, and then I get another email stalling for time - we need a reason why youy want to return, now we need pictures. They clearly state you can return within 14 days but just hang on to a customer's money as long as possible. I'm now going to ask for a refund from my bank.
UPDATE: Was finally able to return the coat but the company has breached consumer law by not providing an refund within 14 days. They tried to incentivise me to take store credit and then advised me that refunds would take over a month. This is completely illegal

I sent for a par of shoes in July, they arrived but were far too small ( although advertised as my size) I emailed them and said I wanted to return them, it took a week to get a return address, I sent them back by tracked postage, they acknowledged they received them and said they issued a refund on the 11/8/26 which would take 5-7 days…. I still haven’t received it, despite emailing numerous times…. I’ve now put a dispute in with the bank….

Ordered item end of July. Still awaiting a refund for an order that they cancelled and now no one is acknowledging my emails. Despite saying they sent the refund on 13/8 my bank have requested the arn number to track the transaction and they won’t respond. Please avoid it’s not worth the stress. Looks like I’m scammed out of £710

I work for a charity and we have been selling donated items through the company to raise funds for women escaping domestic abuse since 2018. They even did an article on me for their blog and socials highlighting the work I did which was published in 2019.
For over a year now I have been struggling to get hold of anyone to return my outstanding items, send me payments and recompense me for items they have lost.
The total value of items costs owed to me are over £6000. This is not including the items unsold still with them and currently listed on their website valued at approximately 10k
I have been trying like crazy to get hold of previous account manager such as Yulia Ann Blower who is now on Linkedin and marketing herself as a private consultant and fashion stylist.
At the time you told me the items were being sold at the pop-ups in Bicester at various high profile racing events attended by wealthy celebrities and aristocracy
I have had no letter received from them regarding any issues. The VIP selling portal for VIP sellers such as myself where you could view your items that were live check your dashboard and payments due to you has been removed from their website. There is no way of getting in touch with anyone despite numerous attempts using their new WhatsApp numbers, any previous numbers and emails that I’ve had for them; including their VIP email account accounts and customer service emails. These funds are vital funds for a charity striving to support vulnerable women escaping very complex domestic abuse.
They help us provide vital services such as Emergency Food and clothing provision emergency funds or financial crisis and support to escape domestic abuse along with added support for school uniforms for families facing food and economic poverty.
Kind donors would send us designer items so that we could sell them and use the funds for the above purposes. Hardly ever worn it was aware of this and often praised us for using their platform for such a worthwhile cause. I’m adding screenshots of the blog. Every single number is either ringing out or switched off, you cannot get through to a landline number any more despite their current website showing the very same numbers in use.
I’m extremely frustrated and concerned as these were vital funds owed to us which we need urgently
I no longer have trust in anyone responding to me. I need my items back and any funds owed to me including costs for items they have misplaced and lost of which I have a massive list.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

It has been over a year and I am still waiting to be paid the £6,000 due to me in sales for items I’ve listed through their VIP service.

They still have my Orange Crocodile Wallet and refuse to return it.

I’ve emailed and chased up after them a million times and still haven’t heard anything back from both the previous and current management after they went into administration.

PLEASE. Do yourself a favor and go to any other luxury fashion reseller with a better reputation.

I bought some items from HEWI a few years ago. I did so believing they were trustworthy and had verified authenticity of all bags, shoes etc. I recently tried selling them on, but was told by 2 reputable resale companies that the items were fake. When I contacted HEWI they claimed there was no record of them ever having sold the items. Extremely disappointed and angry. AVOID HEWI! there are far better options out there.

No wonder they ended up in financial trouble last year. However, they keep trading and promise to ship with 48h tracking. Well when they don't start shipping for a week and then don't hand over parcels when RoyalMail attempts pick up they cannot be said to deliver a reasonable service. Also you cannot call anyone and when you write them you just get a bunch of AI generated rubbish messages from their so called "customer service".

Still awaiting delivery of item. order placed 3 weeks ago. Wasn’t dispatched within their 48hrs timeframe. Dispatched after a week and no tracking for past 2 weeks. I thought the item was in UK but appears to have had a tracking label sourced in Canada. Emails and WhatsApp messages don’t get answered. Refund requested but no answer. Customer service terrible

I Sold few items Before covid. I received my payment on time at the very beginning. I sold A vintage Chanel bag. it was on a special consignment , I didn't get notification once it sold. To make it short. I end up had to chase them up and they made my payment within a week. ( before 2000) I sold an other item 2 months ago. Chase them up. They told me they switching banks, so the payout would be delayed ... and a month later, they said they will inform the accountant. 3 weeks later still no payment after I gave them my bank details....... I should have come to trust pilot sooner. Seeing all these reviews, I will remove all my items. Pls read all trust pilot comments !

Can someone from HEWI please explain why my payout is still outstanding? My buyer received the item over a month ago, yet I’ve been waiting since mid-May despite repeated promises that payment was “on its way.” This is the second time I’ve lost a substantial amount of money because of this. I would appreciate a response.

I would have preferred to give this outlet zero stars! Awful and unprofessional to deal with. Two months later I’m still waiting on my refund. Constantly told it’s being processed. Then apparently there’s an issue and the payment was returned and would be processed again. This company has stolen my money and is trading clearly while it’s insolvent. Don’t buy or sell via this company.

The worst. The website says 'Items dispatched within 48 hours'. I bought a dress off the site on the 3rd of June. It's now the afternoon of the 9th of June and the dress hasn't been dispatched. Customer 'service' MIA. I'm just about to initiate a refund on my credit card. Will update if I hear anything else.

My item did not arrive no response from them when asked about my order. I don’t believe they are legitimate. Please don’t list or buy from this company.

Warning - avoid this site. The designer blouse I bought did not arrive and I got no response to several emails, which feels more like a scam than poor service. Ended up claiming back from credit card. I wish I had read reviews beforehand as there is clearly a track record - HEWI should not be allowed to keep trading.

I really had high hopes when another company took over, however I had sold 2 items and both have been delivered to the buyers, one in April the other one well over a week ago, I have not received payment. They reply days later or lately not at all.
I have spent a considerable amount on insured and tracked shipping abroad and I have sent 2 designer items that have been delivered to the buyers.

Given the high commission (you also pay VAT on their commission) I would expect SOME customer service and of course PAYMENT

I tried to log into the website to check my sales, now I can't see my sales or my listings, also my payment information and everything else seems to have disappeared and it is now Shopify!

I ordered and paid for a bag on 27th April but still haven’t received it. I’ve messaged emailed did the chat and now they are ignoring me- I’m totally frustrated and would like to know if anyone else is having problems with them now ?

What an utterly garbage website/company, they clearly not interested in making money or helping sellers in any way. Plus they can't even spell. This could have been a decent site, but they literally do everything wrong. Plus their charges to sellers are utterly ridiculous. Read the other reviews and avoid.

Recent purchases have taken way too long to arrive or have never even been sent so a refund was eventually issued, no communication from the seller and seemingly no obligation to ship goods within a reasonable time. Not sure how they allow poor sellers to continue to be on the platform selling. They need to look at other marketplaces who have way better customer service and way stricter obligations on the sellers despite lower priced products.

so disgusting that (HEWI) Hardly Ever Worn It , operated by HardlyEver Ltd, is still operating and customers are still owed money, and they are still not returning sellers goods back, this all whilst HEWI is undergoing insolvency proceedings,(liquidation / bankruptcy). The company is facing multiple county court judgments.
They owed me more than £10K from sales and have that much again worth of stock they have not returned back to me, applauling they are still trading. Consumers, sellers , customers beware you will not get your money or your items back.
