Just moved into my new place and honestly had such a good experience!

A special mention has to go to Elisha, who was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process.
She kept me informed every step of the way, was always quick to respond, and explained everything so clearly. As a first time mover I was quite nervous but she made the whole experience feel easy and stress free.
She was so friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful - I couldn't have asked for better support.

Sue was very professional, co-operative and helpful.
During our tenancy she was always helpful and considertate of our privacy. When the landlord decided to sell she helped keep the move out very smooth.

Very professional service, we were always confident that we complied with statutory requirements, and tenants were carefully selected and managed. John Shepherd Lettings have managed our two rental properties for a number of years and we have always been very happy with the service they have provided to us. Our property manager (Sue Birch in the Redditch office) has always acted in a professional and friendly manner and has been very responsive in dealing with matters.

Sue Birch has looked after my properties for a few years. Just wanted to give a shout out to her professionalism looking after the properties. Nothing is to much trouble, sorts out any concerns the tenants have or any concerns I have swiftly and professionally.

Sue Birch has managed my property for the last 3 years…. I’ve had a great experience with the property management team. They have been professional, responsive, and helpful throughout managing my property. Any questions or maintenance requests have been handled quickly and efficiently, which has made my easy and stress-free.

Communication has always been clear, and they’ve been approachable whenever I’ve needed assistance. It’s reassuring to know that the property is well managed and that issues are taken seriously.

I’d definitely recommend them to other land lord looking for a well-managed property and reliable support.

I used their letting agency services based in Redditch over many years and would rate them 5* for a professional, personal and friendly service. They are always ahead of the legislation so that I was always letting according to the law and they have a good pool of trades to take care of minor maintenance issues that arise, this is particularly important for me as an overseas landlord.

This was mine and my partners first time renting through John Shepherd, through the Redditch branch and i would like to say Olga was absolutely fantastic and had very professional and fast service, Michelle took over from Olga who was an absolutely delightful person to speak to, so thankyou Michelle you was an absolute gem considering how difficult we was to get all references before deadlines, but she persevered. Great experience and would recommend to anyone planning to move homes soon.

I've rented off John Shepherd for a few years now and Lauren Foster has always responded promptly to any issues I've had in relation to my property and ensured that they are dealt with in an efficient manner.

Appalling experience with John Shepherd. After 6 years of loyalty, they have committed gross professional negligence by authorized an early tenant move-out without my consent, breaking a fixed-term contract. Most alarmingly, they have taken unauthorized deductions from my rent account (increasing fees by 2% without a signed agreement). They are also currently ignoring a formal complaint. Absolute lack of integrity and professional standards. Avoid at all costs.

UPDATE (March 4th): In response to the agency's comment below: I have already escalated this directly to your CEO and Property Management Director. As your agency has admitted professional negligence and performed unauthorized deductions from my client account, I have set a final deadline of 12:00 PM tomorrow for a written settlement. If this is not met, I will be proceeding with formal filings to The Property Ombudsman and Propertymark. I am awaiting a professional resolution, not a generic redirect.

Michelle at the Redditch branch of John Shepherd went above and beyond to steer us through an unfamiliar and difficult transaction. She kept us calm, was always there and got us where we wanted to be. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

As a prospective tenant I found Shepherd to be attentive and responsive. Having paid my initial rental, there was a remarkable change in their attitude. Immediately after collecting the keys I advised them by telephone of landlords processions being left in the flat and that their inventory report was not worth the paper it was written on, with damaged fittings not listed and assertions made that the property had been professionally cleaned when it was left in a filthy condition. This was confirmed in writing by returning the amended inventory and requesting contact. Despite assurances made to respond, they have totally ignored me. Tenants beware. They are not interested in carrying out their duties as managing agents and you will be ignored based on my experience.

I have been with John Shepherd for a good few years now and have Lauren Foster looking after my portfolio. More than happy with her and the teams service and communication. Always available at the end of the phone and majority of issues (if any) are dealt with swiftly. Would recommend this company for any landlord wishing to take the stress out of managing their properties.

I have been a client of John Shepherd since they took over the last agency that was dealing with my BTL properties. I was very sceptical, big firm, lost as just a number, 10 people on the case etc...well I found exactly the opposite of those fears. Big firm, yes but I have a point of contact with Lauren Foster, Redditch or sometimes Solihull branch. Lauren is about the most proactive property manager that I have ever dealt with , never needs chasing or reminding. She deals with repairs as though she is spending her own money, and so is careful to strike the balance between a quality fix and cost. Lauren has a team who help her, Adam Weaver for example, who is equally commercial. You take firms as you find them but my experience of John Shepherd via Lauren has been very positive and I would strongly recommend them.

John Shepherd are pursuing false debts. They refuse to provide explanation of the charge and have initiated legal action against me with no explanation or calculation of the claimed debt. They also have the wrong information of my current address and thus I don't believe anything they claim is legitimate. They have refused communication and involved debt collection for a fee that does not exist. Incompetent, dishonest and greedy.

I have been renting with John Shepherd for 5+ years in redditch and I have to say it has been so straight forward. Even to the point when myself and partner found another property to rent under the John shepherd agency we jumped at the opportunity.

Lauren and the team who dealt with the property made everything so easy. From the inspections, any issues were dealt with instantly, if I ever needed anything there was always quick responses. Even making my moving out process such a breeze. Cant thank Lauren enough. Thank you for making the years so easy!
