Big con - yes they are locksmiths, however, the prices that you will be charged will leave you gobsmacked!

Im going to check their VAT invoice number and if it does not exist, trust me.. they have tried to con the wrong person.

This company will overcharge you. I was locked out on 16th Nov and was advised to contact my local locksmith. They sent me someone who invoice me with Kastreall group VAT details and representing Bespoke services 2001 company which has only been opened for 5 months. According to them, my lock needed to be replaced and all they kept saying when I asked about costs was not to worry. At the end presented me with a bill of over £1300. I protested and refused to pay. They said they would give me a discount and reduced it to £1000. They will put pressure on you until you make the payment. With 2 young children and being past 9 in the evening I had no other choice but to pay.

I have sent various emails complaining and obtained no response.

If I could give this 0 stars I would - absolutely terrible service. Extremely expensive arrived and immediately said they couldn’t do the job without drilling and changing the whole lock. Kept on trying to force us to pay in cash so they didn’t have to pay VAT. Paid 450£ Just to get into a Yale lock. Absolutely ridiculous.

I wouldn't even rate it 1 star but I have no choice but to. Got locked out of my flat and out of desperation I went for the first option in Google ad. Reading the previous reviews my story is smiler. I was quoted £55 over the telephone by the lady and once the locksmith arrived with his heavy toolbox he started dropping numbers quickly, such as the call out fee aswell as the actual job, if he can't open it and needs to replace the lock then it will cost £225 maybe! I was shocked and couldn't understand why he was quoting such a ridiculous amount for just simply being locked out! It wasn't even double locked. I firmly said no I'm not paying and he walked off which I coudnt care to be honest even though I was desperate to get into my flat. I'm glad i was adamant and stuck to my words because from reading the previous reviews it seems as though they rip people off and make a simple job into something so big so they can ridiculously over charge for their service. After he left I managed to get incontact with a local locksmith. This guy was able to open my door in less than 20 seconds and with a case not a big toolbox and explained to me it was a simple job which didn't require the attention that the previous locksmith said! The charge for the service was decent too. So I will say avoid at all cost even though you maybe desperate!

Awful, extortionate service. I got charged £255 for a job that took less than 10 minutes.

Sadly, I made the mistake of calling one of those ads at the top of Google when I was locked out.

Going through other reviews on the Kastreall Group page - which seems to be a related company, I see they seem to be using a bunch of different websites this is the one I used of theirs: locksmith--24h.co.uk

I called the company and explained that I was locked out. I asked the receptionist when someone will arrive, she said in 25 minutes. Nice. Could I get a rough estimate of how much the job will cost? No answer. The receptionist simply stated that the locksmith is the only person that can let me know as it depends on the lock. She made no mention of the the fact there is a £69 (not including VAT) call out charge.

40 minutes later, a man arrives and was able to fix my problem in 10 minutes. Nice I thought, I then was charged £79 (not including VAT) for the labour of opening the door (which only consisted of him sliding a piece of super mica between the door and door frame,) and an additional £65 (not including VAT) for "fixing the lock". Which I don't believe had anything wrong with it. When I asked about what was wrong with my lock I got no proper explanation of the mechanism the guy simply stated that the latch was sticking out and now it's in.

I typically don't write reviews but I'm so appalled at the lack of transparency and how they take advantage of those in desperate situations I couldn't help but feel compelled to write something!

Not to mention their misleading Google ad - which claims that their prices start from £39 and that they'll come to your door in 10-20 minutes. I was waiting over 40 minutes. I know 40 minutes isn't a massive amount of time but their ad shouldn't say they can be at your door in 10-20 mins if that isn't the case.

Oh, and one other thing, my receipt has no invoice number?!

Please please please learn a lesson at my expense and stay away from these dirty scammers!

Guy took 2 hours to come out instead of 30 min I was told. Price was over inflated and you had no means to argue. Give them a miss please. Never use them as they are a criminal enterprise

Fraudsters. Invoice quotes vat no in small print. Vat no quoted is for another company .

Changed £264 for 5mins to drill a lock out

I was quoted 50-75 over the phone. I was not advised of any call out fee. Contractor arrived at our address in 35 minutes. He had his tools came to our flat and said it would be 49 just for a call out fee. I thought that was high and unfair but went along with it anyway. We were desperate to get back into out flat (my partner heavily pregnant). I was told it would be a £150 charge to open the door. I said that seems quite high but go ahead out of desperation He then spent a total of 3 minutes drilling the lock and left a hole in our door. I asked him if he was going to replace it he said for an additional fee. He then said VAT was playable on top of the 199. I said no that was never stated. I felt a bit vulnerable and backed into a corner so i transfered via BACS. I flat our refused to pay any extra or any VAT. I feel absolutley disgusted and ripped off. So will report to police and trading standards. I spoke to a local locksmith and he said £65 including VAT to open a door. I cant understand how such a shady company is in the top of google. Their websites states from £39! Please avoid this company at all costs.

Beware of the scumbags !!!!!! We wish we had read the review prior the call. They are robbing elderly, vulnerable people in the broad daylight. They have charged my poor mother £300 for a job which was quoted £50. They threatened her with walking away and leaving her stuck outside. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! Stay away from these scammers 🤬

Do not use this company!!!! This isn’t a genuine company…these people are criminals. Awful people and scammers. Charged my elderly mum £300 for something that was quoted £55 earlier on. They took advantage of a vulnerable old lady. Beyond disgusting.

Drilled the lock saying it would be £220 "plus whatever it costs for the lock". So okay thinking it would be £250 and already annoyed thought whatever I need to get inside.
He then put the lock on and CHARGED ME £502!!!! £175 was the price of the lock plus cost of putting it on!!!
I told him to get lost

I wish I had read these reviews before calling these guys. We were charged £471 to change the lock, which is not the quote that was given before the work. I have reported to citizens advice bureau and trading standards.

Avoid at all cost! Scammer. I was charged £630 for unlocking a single door. I can’t believe Google put them on top search. Was literally crying. I was coerce to transfer money upfront.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Terrible experience, quoted one rate on the phone and which they massively put up once locksmith arrived. 4 days later, the lock no longer worked. Called through to customer service and they consistently put the phone down, and won’t take the call, after paying £300. Avoid at all costs

BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Absolutely horrible service. The engineer was decent no blame on him. But the office and their admin need to get fired. No manners, no respect, no decency. We needed a lock changed asap, they quoted us £60 for labour and £40 for a lock, as an “estimate”. Then once the the job is done they changed it to £250 and then again to £991. I called up asking to speak to a manager. They kept hanging up. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

They quoted a price over the phone to change the lock and then tripled the price when they arrived at the door, they take advantage of people when they are In a vulnerable situation of being locked out of their home.

Criminal scam artists. Overinflated call out charge, they try to charge you £150 for a £20 lock, add on ridiculous labour costs and VAT. They are criminals with a fake VAT registered number. Avoid at all costs.

Posting here as they flagged it on the Kastreall Group trustpilot, clearly trying to hide something. These companies all seem to be connected.

I used this company for a locksmith and they completely overcharged and were not upfront with their fees at all, I was presented with an extortionate invoice only after the work had been done. They drilled a hole in my door and replaced the lock when it wasn’t strictly necessary, I’d only locked myself out, no other tactics were presented. I was charged nearly £600 to be let into my house and replace a rim lock. Being on my own, late at night and in a vulnerable state I had no choice but to pay when there was a strange man in my house.

The Kastreall Group have taken absolutely no responsibility, blaming it on their contractors (Bespoke Services 2001, a very newly incorporated company, which isn’t surprising) despite the fact it was the KS group bank account I paid and it is their details on the receipt and a link to the Kastreall Group website on the receipt and on Squareup, clearly showing they have responsibility for this. They can’t claim they had no knowledge of this happening when I was paying them directly. When I told them this fact on Squareup they did not respond.

I was offered a tiny refund of £69.84 for ‘my troubles’ from Bespoke Services 2001, which I refused and asked to be refunded at least £400 as this would make the amount paid more in line with the Master Locksmiths Association guidelines for emergency call-outs. I am yet to receive a response yet. I am in touch with Squareup (who’s cash machine payment service the group used) to let them know this is how their service is being used. I am also contacting the Master Locksmiths Association as they advised these locksmith scams take place frequently and this sounds like one and have asked if they want me to flag details to the police. I will also be forced to get in touch with the police/local MP/news/citizens advice/trading standards and ask for a charge back from my bank if I am not refunded properly ASAP. I will continue to pursue this until I get my money back. Any evidence needed to substantiate these details for Trustpilot I can happily provide, in case this review is flagged by the owner.

In response to your post - Your subcontractor should have its own bank account as an apparently separate company under law, the fact it is using yours is just a way to get around liability and means you will have profited from an illegal activity. If the payment comes to you and it’s deemed criminal proceeds it should be returned by you. You are clearly the ones holding the sums and are in charge of paying your employees/so called contractors (which is actually how Uber also operates, it holds the money and pays its employees, you don’t go after the driver for a refund, you go after Uber, which would be the KSgroup in these circumstances, which is what I’m doing). Bespoke services should also not have charged VAT, they are not registered to do so, so again, this would seem to be criminal proceeds in your bank account which needs to be returned.

I have a quote from a MLA association emergency locksmith and they said it was £180 (inc VAT) for this work, and that is with replacing the lock, which was not necessary and instead done by a skilled, fully insured person unlike by you (details of the quote will be given to my bank and anyone else who requires it). The VAT did not come to £483, I have invoices proving this and it shouldn’t have been charged anyway. You are also not registered with the MLA I have checked with them.
