Incompetent LTA

I would give no stars but no option. Have been trying to get refund for a rain cancelled day at the Rothesay Classic at Edgbaston. In accordance with the terms I had 14 days to ask for my refund to go to my credit card. The LTA were contacted twice through their website. No response. 3 calls to ticket master, they just referred me to the LTA site. LTA site now returns me to ticket master. Who have responded by email referring me back to the LTA. Unbelievably poor service.

Terrible

Terrible, it just does not work. I was at the tennis today and heard so many people complaining about their tickets, some elderly people were really upset. Literally everything I tried to do did not work. I am just going to take my email with the order number when I go on Saturday and hope that they let me in. Makes something which should be fantastic stressful and upsetting for many. Sort it out for next year.

Terrible ticket buying experience

Terrible ticket buying experience. Their ticker app on Google Play has 1 star rating, no wonder why. I wasted about an hour to get my tickets sorted, that including installing useless, not working app on my phone and trying to get it to work.
Why don't you send tickets to e-mail like everyone else? Why forcing everyone to use not working app on mobile?
WILL NEVER BUY TICKETS FROM LTA AGAIN.

Heartless

Vile, heartless organisation. Ignored my repeated requests for ticket refunds when my wife and I could no longer use them after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Clearly unwilling to engage with customers. No clearly-displayed phone number or even postal address on the website. When you manage to find a hidden-away phone number on the site they don't pick up.

Of all the websites that I have ever used, the LTA sits in a league of its own as the worst experience by a considerable distance
A chaos of information, subsites (with different password requirements) - inept navigation and dead-end non-functioning pages.
Quite understandably, they have removed the ability for anyone to leave feedback on their site, ensured than nobody can speak to anyone to complain and guaranteed that there is no email address to send feedback to. Doubtless this is because they ran out of warehouse space to dump all the complaints.
Quite simply shocking

Why the LTA doesn't spend some money…

Why the LTA doesn't spend some money and push their IT to a company that knows what they are doing is beyond most people. At least it gives tennis people a topic to communally moan about. I've yet to hear one positive view on their IT, yet dozens who range from resigned to despondent. Being in the process of taking coaching qualifications I strongly suggest that anyone thinking of the same should consider the struggles they are about to go through. Like the feedback form all the negative comments about the LTA will go nowhere. But still be warned (this weeks issue being unable to proceed past cookie page which refreshes like Groundhog day)

Very much old fashioned and behind the…

Very much old fashioned and behind the times regarding tennis. Unfortunately the UK has to endue the LTA, go to another country and see what you get with tennis, come back to the UK and you get, snobby, arrogant and racist tennis clubs often run by local parish who never play tennis but will lay down the law!
Some clubs still insist on ONLY WHITE clothing! WHAT its 2022! more racism.
It does not care one bit, they just take you money and laugh at you. As for their contact and help, its a joke! No numbers, no reply to emails about issues, ziltch!
Until tennis is run by a body who are not racist and actually care about tennis in the UK things here will NEVER change! The cost of courts, clubs etc no public courts to use, shocking state of the ones there are!
Rules and rules that's all you get with the LTA.
Its a TERRIBLE organisation who do nothing for tennis expect fill their own pockets and support these small racist local tennis clubs we all know!

The one star was not intentional

The one star was not intentional, I had to enter at least one star to be able to list my review. Otherwise, would have been zero. I bought an item for £28 which I returned as it didn't look as advertised. I was only reimbursed £20, they still charged me &8 for the posting and returning of my item. Robbery! Never again!

Very disappointing organisation

Very disappointing organisation, to begin with, there is no telephone number to ring?! How is that even possible to run a company or an organisation with paying members to not have a telephone number to ring? The websites are so outdated, still mention a number that was closed months ago (which has been pointed out to them, but no one seems to care or feel any responsibility for that). For (paying!) members it is only possible to submit a request with no possibility to email back to a received response. The responses are also insufficient and do not solve basic problems like tournament organisers cancelling tournaments without notice, missing and wrong results uploaded, missing returns for cancelled tournaments. It's just so disappointing and deteriorating, and then the LTA complaint about less members and people playing tennis. I wonder why... unbelievable management

Don't waste your time

My son has done his level 1 tennis coaching course and now wants to do his level 2. If he had known how difficult the LTA would make it he wouldn't have bothered ever starting the process. He had to apply for DBS but had problems because the LTA website didn't explain what he had to do. Once he'd jumped that hurdle he booked the first aid but still couldn't book onto the level 2 course. The LTA have brought something new in so if an applicant hasn't got the required tennis rating they have to undergo a readiness test (at yet more expense!!!!) and film themselves doing a demonstration but my son wasn't told what to demonstrate. Trying to get answers from the LTA is like getting blood from a stone. He did what he thought he had to do and submitted it but then failed it because it was incorrect. He has now been told what to do but he should've been told this 3 weeks ago. My son has wasted 3 weeks and he's said if he can't book onto the course starting 31st October he's giving up. This is shockingly bad. The LTA website is so badly designed and its impossible to speak to anyone.

Worst National Tennis Organisation in Europe

We are an entire tennis-loving family and we have also been members of the LTA for many years. In my opinion, this organisation is the worst-run tennis organisation of the Western world and in particular in developing home grown talent. One doesn’t have to look far to see the stark differences between the LTA and let’s their French equivalent... The LTA fails on every essential part of its “raison d’être”. It took the LTA over 6-month to reply to 3 emails I had sent. They never bothered picking up their phone lines and that was even before the pandemic. They never returned phone calls despite voicemails being left. Very disappointing organisation
