We have used Luggage Forward, Luggage Free and ShipGo and all have caused us hassles at the end of our cruises.
LUGGAGE Forward was to pick up our luggage when we disembarked in Montreal. There was no representative in or around the terminal. Because this had been an issue with the other companies, we had asked for the contact agents name and phone number which we could not get as they assured us someone would be at the terminal. They were not. An agent for Holland America had a contact and called for us and was assured someone would come to collect the luggage which we had to leave unattended. After being notified when to expect our luggage at home and it did not arrive, my Travel Agent tried to find out its status unsuccessfully. Finally it was located, still in Montreal. A request was made by Luggage Forward for the combinations to open (what we had left unlocked) the luggage at customs. Two weeks and two days after we disembarked our luggage arrived undamaged. However it had been searched and three items are missing.
The guarantee stated you can track your luggage all the way but if you do not receive any tracking information (as we never did) you cannot do that.
It was only after numerous phone calls that my travel agent spoke to a Senior Representative that she got any accurate information. We received two e mails that the luggage was due to arrive and then that it had arrived.
The e mail giving us the delivery date stated that we did not need to be home. The DHL driver required we sign we had received the luggage.
Overall poor service and terrible communications.

I find Luggage Forward to be completely reliable and I’ve used the service both domestically and internationally. Reliably is the most factor!

Luggage Forward kept their commitments. My luggage was picked up when promised. Our luggage was waiting in our room on the Viking Mars as promised. A Luggage Forward rep was waiting outside the Customs/docking area in New York as promised; and my luggage was delivered to my home earlier than the date that was promised. I would use Luggage Forward again and would recommend them to others.
I would however recommend that Luggage Forward make it easier for customers to speak to a human person when requested.

This was so effortless and well worth the money. I didn't need to worry about my luggage and when I got to my ship - it was there waiting. I will definitely use this service again.

The drop off at the Queen Elizabeth cruise terminal in Southampton was extremely clear, efficient and easy. It was pure pleasure to get rid of my big cases of tuxedos and gowns and travel home feeling "light".

The ship lost our luggage so I was not able to take it through customs for luggage forward to pick it up. They worked with the ship to find my luggage and get it through customs without my presence and get it to our destination so that I could continue along with my scheduled excursion.

My suitcase was delivered as guaranteed on the date and time specified. Even when my sailing ship changed, Luggage Forward updated it on my tracking page and there were no issues. I will most definitely use them again.

The booking process online is simple and easy to navigate. Communication before, during transit and upon pick up and delivery gave me peace of mind and I always felt informed and knew when to expect my luggage. It made it hassle-free to pack for our cruise to Alaska where heavy coats and boots were needed but we didn’t have to drag the big heavy suitcases in and out of the airport or hotel. It went straight to our stateroom on the ship! It’s so convenient and easy!
