I chose PT Academy mainly because the course was workbook based and gave me the flexibility to complete it in my own time. This worked really well for me as I didnt have to attend weekly lessons and could fit the course around work and everything else going on in my life.
I found the course and workbooks easy to follow and they gave me everything I needed to work through the qualification successfully. A massive positive for me was my tutor Chris. He completely understood what I wanted to get out of the course and was always really helpful and supportive. If I had a question I could contact him easily and he always came back with useful answers and helped point me in the right direction.
The only thing I think could be improved is communication from PT Academy itself. At times I felt there wasnt loads of information given and without my tutor I probably would have been unsure about what was happening or what I needed to do next. A little more communication and information throughout the course would have made the experience even better.
Overall though I have had a really positive experience. The flexibility of the course suited me perfectly, I have achieved what I wanted from it and I would definitely recommend PT Academy to someone looking to complete their PT qualification around an already busy life.

I recently completed my Level 2 and Level 3 Personal Training courses with PT Academy. I found the course content comprehensive and enjoyed developing my knowledge and practical skills throughout the course. I honestly couldn’t recommend Tee highly enough. From the very beginning he was so friendly, helpful and professional. He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave me so much useful information and made the whole process of signing up for my Level 4 Personal Training course really straightforward. What I’ve appreciated most is that he hasn’t just disappeared after signing me up. He’s kept in contact to make sure I’m happy, fully supported with my course and getting the right support from my mentor Dave who’s also been brilliant. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about the people he works with and wants to make sure they have a really positive experience. Thank you for all your help and support so far. 😊

They literally take forever
They literally take forever, I have 1 thing left to be marked for 3 weeks and if it had been marked I'd have gotten a job, however they take so long that who knows, and this is with paying extra for a mentor. No replies no updates and not getting my work marked

I would not recommend
This is the second time I am having to write a negative review for PT Academy. I thought after the awful experience of level 2 the level 3 being upgraded to the online platform would be better - and it was until the end when 2.5 weeks after completing my course I still don't have my certificate. You get a message that says you have completed and passed on the portal but then there is actually a period of "scrutiny" before you get your certificate - very confusing to be told you have passed and then that actually it isn't confirmed. Was told this would be 10-14 days, reached out to find out that after someone finally got back to me its actually 14-28 days. It's just never clear communication, the course user journey needs to be completely reviewed and clarity around messaging. It's really depleting to think you've passed and then feel uncertain if you actually have. I would do a lot more research before signing up, a lot of these reviews are from people who have only just enrolled so not sure how they can be giving 5star. I still have another course with them to complete and once you have paid you can't get a refund. I'm only giving one extra star than my first review because the online learning platform is much better than the PDFs

I had a phone call with Tee about signing up for a PT course, and they were absolutely lovely to chat to. He was really friendly, kind, and had a great sense of humour, which made the whole call feel really relaxed. Tee answered all my questions without making me feel rushed and explained everything clearly. It made me feel much more confident about signing up. Thanks again, Tee!

Cheryl B - The best support I could ever have hoped for.
I have recently completed my Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training courses through PT Academy and I honestly couldn't have done it without the support and encouragement that Cheryl gave me throughout my learning journey.
