I wanted to leave a special message of gratitude to my amazing tutor Sofia! I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor and mentor on PT Academy’s Level 3 Personal Trainer course, which I have just successfully passed! She was truly exceptional from the first day right up until the end of the course. A supportive, empathetic and incredibly patient tutor who always went above and beyond.

Her knowledge is outstanding, and she explains things clearly and thoroughly, which made learning feel both engaging and enjoyable. Her availability beyond the scheduled course hours meant she was there to answer questions, offer guidance/corrections and encourage progress whenever I needed it. She was always able to alleviate any self-doubts I had during the course, which is why she’s such an incredible tutor!

Sofia’s supportive, mentoring approach helped me not just complete the course, but feel genuinely ready and empowered as a future personal trainer about to embark on a new career path. To put it simply: she’s pretty awesome! :)

I’d also like to say a special thank you to Anthony in head office who was really supportive during the course, shout out to Liam at the gym who was super helpful and last but not least(!) our online tutor David, who was absolutely brilliant. As I may not get the chance to write a separate review for David, I just want to say he is incredibly knowledgable and has a wealth of experience in the industry, spanning more than 20 years! He was supportive, patient and his lessons were excellent and taught to a very high standard!

If you’re thinking about becoming a personal trainer, you’d be in the best hands at PT Academy, go for it!

I did the L2 and L3 for personal training through PTacademy. The courses are well organised, well supported and smooth to get through. When I signed up, my mentor, Sofia Shamimi, reached out super fast and introduced herself which was really helpful. She also helped a lot whenever I had questions about how to go about completing the course and any other difficulties I had. I had a few injuries and setbacks delaying my practical assessments and she was very understanding, and kept reaching out to ensure I was on top of things. She was very helpful with the practical, convincing me to do it in person rather than recording it, explaining to me the benefits of doing it in person and making it a stress-free experience. During the assessments, she was very welcoming and kind, and very clear with what needed to be done, and asked me a lot of questions, ensuring I had a solid understanding of the course content. She was very helpful regarding the workbooks when it came to marking and making any corrections, summarising where corrections need to be made and made it easy to understand why things needed to changed and what level of detail and theoretical understand I should have and show- it made learning easier and more enjoyable as it made me want to go back and get a deep understanding so I could fix my mistakes and give more in-depth solutions when needed. Overall she made it a very stress-free and smooth and enjoyable course and was a great mentor.

My experience with PT Academy has been great. The consistent support and flexibility given to me by my work coach/ tutor Rian JB Malcom-Smith has allowed this process to feel comfortable, easy and a breeze to complete. However there were clear issues in class I believe that the way it still was able to function, be complete in a short time, feedback was given rapidly and things was communicated well It was an excellent experience that I would recommend to others. I just hope you get the same tutor as I did. I intend to complete another course here with PT Academy in Birmingham.

A simple Google search provided the necessary information for PT Academy and their offerings. After completing a simple online form, I received a prompt call back from Atiya, who was extremely helpful, informative and provided everything I needed, then followed up with an email to detail full breakdown of course plans etc. Within an hour, everything was signed and completed. Very happy

I did my level 2&3 Personal training with PT ACADEMY and Rian Malcom as my tutor. Rian is top instructor! He made sure everyone understood the course work and was always there to help out. He has shared with us a lot of his experiences and lesson learned in the fitness industry. Our learning was varied as we had a mixture of in class, online and practical gym sessions. I have learned a lot on this course and look forward to learning with PT academy in the Future.

Completed my level 2 and level 3 PT course.
I had a brilliant experience during the course mainly due to my teacher Rian Malcolm. Every step of the way he was there to offer support and help us not only complete the course but to complete it quickly and to a good standard. He went above and beyond, often staying late every night, coming in early and coming in on his days off to offer extra help and support when we were struggling. I started this course feeling like I had very little clue about the fitness industry as a whole and now due to the work and several interesting discussions feel confident that I can further my own fitness journey as well as help others on theirs. Rian broke down the complicated theory work into easily understandable segments leaving me not only knowing the information but also being able to teach it to others.
Would highly recommend this course.

My teacher Rian Malcom-Smith helped me greatly during the span of my course, any assistance i needed he provided, he stayed extra time to help his students, any questions i had he would answer thoroughly and efficiently, after each slide he made sure to ask if everything was understood or if there was any questions. Despite having some disruptive pupils he managed to ensure all work was completed and any issues were resolved professionally and effectively.

I don’t think I could have chosen a better academy to complete my Level2 and 3 with. Both Sofia, and David go above and beyond to make this course understandable and relatable. Their knowledge, guidance and professionalism where an integral part of me being able to complete this course.

The Level 3 Personal training course is well run and taught. I was able to learn lots of new information and was pushed to think outside the box on a variety of units such as nutrition and anatomy. I felt extremely supported by PT Academy, especially David and Sofia, who are experienced tutors that will guide you along the way and will teach you everything you need to know on your journey.

I’ve had a really positive experience with PT Academy. The course is well organised and covers everything you need to start your journey as a personal trainer. The learning materials are clear and the structure makes it easy to follow, even if you’re new to the industry.

A big thank you to Sofia and David, who have been very supportive throughout the course. They explain things well, are always happy to help, and genuinely want their students to succeed.

Overall, it’s been a great learning experience and I’d definitely recommend PT Academy to anyone looking to get qualified in the fitness industry.

Such a fantastic course, a huge amount of useful and interesting information! Very engaging, sometimes feels like a game, that you forget that you’re even studying.
