Whole experience is poor
Whole experience is poor from delivery to trying to return an item that was incorrectly manufactured. I had an item that could not be built and was offered 20% refund. Then there is the tone in the voice of the customer service staff. Sounded like I was putting them out!
I am curious to why they are opening late and closing early?
I visited the Leamington branch on Sunday 5/01/25. Seeing as its 11am I assumed the store was already open however the shutter was half way down so I was unsure if they were just getting ready to open, I return back later once I finished my shopping at around 3pm to find that the store has taken away the baskets at the entrance however I thought the store closed at half 4. I approached an employee to ask if they are still open they said yes. So I am curious to why they are opening late and closing early? This is not very welcoming or professional to customers. This is not the first time I have seen this branch do this.

Minus score. This company send the wrong item out. Took ages to get to the part it's the wrong item send right one plz. They eventually message me about saying picking up that day so i rush home. Noone comes to collect n deny the pocedure was sorted.Get back intouch n start all over again with same conversation as if id not been intouch before . Got nowhere. Paypal had to sort. Keep clear

Went to Robert Dyas, it was priced at £11.99. OK I thought, I do support local shops where I can. Got to counter, assistant asked if I had a Roberts Dyas loyalty card. No says I, "I don't do store cards". That's £14.99 then. I refuse to pay OTT prices because I don't want a store card. Now ordered from Amazon.
As long as shops like Dyas continue to fleece their customers it won't be a surprise when they all disappear from the High Street!

Would give nil stars if possible. Ordered a plant, it arrived squashed, have written a complaint with photos twice and still no response.
Absolute joke of a company
I would leave a zero but its not possible. Delays happen, that's life. Whats important is how a company proceeds to resolve these issues. Here they just say no to everything. My order was supposed to be delivered by the 27th, it wasn't. Customer service informs me after I call them, that the supplier is closed until the 2nd of January...so at best il receive it 10 days later. Spoke to a manager, whose favourite word is also NO. Do yourselves a favour and buy from another company even if it means paying a little more. If they are this poor at resolving issues when they could possibly lose a customer, just imagine what there attitude will be when you need help and troubleshooting after you've received the order. Lesson learned !

Absolutely shocking service from Robert Dyas.
After delivering the incorrect item, then telling me to install it incorrectly to make it work...
Now I'm stuck with a living room full of boxes, an unsafe fireplace, until the 2nd January after they failed to uphold the three pre-Christmas collection dates.
Avoid like the plague. False promises and disappointment.
Don't trust the delivery dates
We ordered our dining chairs as the website said that they would be delivered by Friday 20th December. On checking that they would be coming, for piece of mind, we were told on the phone that it wouldn't be Friday, but could be Monday. It's Monday, and they aren't coming. Each time I've spoken to Robert Dyas, or Tec Take ( the supplier) I'm given different information. Long story short, no chairs, and no money. I wouldn't use this company, or buy direct from TecTake again. My refund is to be sped up when the tracking shows they are no longer to be delivered to my home, but taken back to the supplier, but when that will be us anyone's guess.

I bought a heated airer online. It was faulty, shorted the electricity and needed to go back. Every time they book a delivery, no one comes to collect it. I've called customer service three times. The most recent time they were extremely unhelpful. I received an odd voicemail saying due to a lack of parking, it can't be collected and I won't get a refund. If there's no parking, how was it delivered? It seems every other company can deliver and collect items , but Robert Dyas can't. Appalling customer service.

I don't recommend it, I finally got my money back but they cooperate with dishonest suppliers and there is always some problem! Never again!!!
Delivery shambles…
Similar to others experience re delivery, this time UPS.
12 December message to say freezer will be delivered between 1300 and 1500. It wasn't, in fact not delivered at all but no message to say why etc.
Today 13th December message to say it will be delivered between 1300 and 1500, and guess what it hasn't. Customer service at Robert Dyas were pleasant but could tell me nothing about progress.
I missed an appointment this afternoon because of UPS and not encouraged to be told they may deliver unto 9pm tonight (or they may just decide to take it back to the depot again, who knows ?)
If I go out tonight as planned and miss them I will have to re-organise another date, when they may, or may not appear.....Kafkaesque.

DO NOT DO ONLINE SHOPPING WITH ROBERT DYAS. Best way to contact them is by email. Do not telephone - ineffective. Very difficult to get a refund when returning an online purchase especially if it is from another supplier. I think they aim to make money from holding your money as long as possible. Refunds should be paid 14 days from proof of posting. The store cannot afford a bad reputation. Is Theo investing in the store?!

this is probably THE most difficult online shopping experience - not only is it difficult to fill in your details without being dropped constantly, but when you do eventually manage to get to the payment part, they only accept VISA debit cards if you are NOT registered with MyDyas. If you are reg for MyDyas, you can ONLY pay via PayPal or Klarna, which is another nightmare. I am registered for MyDyas, but it keeps telling me my password is incorrect. So I try and reset it and although I get a notification email to reset my password, less than 10 seconds after opening the email, it tells me my time to access that email has expired!! So now I have had to pay full price for my goods, no MyDyas discount and my head is pounding with the frustration of it all.

Didn’t receive it & is still showing it’s out for delivery yesterday.
Called up to query. Shocking customer service. Not interested in addressing why they have misleading delivery info on their website.
Was told I’d receive a call back regarding my complaint & nothing.
My advice if it looks cheap it’s because the service is terrible & you wont receive your item.
Staff must be on minimum wage as they have ZERO customer service skills.
Pay a bit more & order from a reputable company.

Tried to cancel an order, spent ages on the phone on hold etc, was told the order was cancelled. Today I receive a shipped confirmation... Which now means I'm going to have to go through the returns process which will no doubt be impossible.

Wish I checked on here before placing a order. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here. Customer service just saying to wait another 24 hours almost been and item ordered hasn't moved anywhere since Saturday.

Placed order Nov 17th never arrived, phoned customer services who stated that she would look into it. We are now on the 2nd December, having spoken to 4 different people in customer services.
The latest was to give me a refund on part of the order and informed me the other part was to collect in store - excellent I thought - much later in the day I attended the store to collect my part order. Haha it wasn't there they stated that they had sent it back. To add to my fury you can hear people giggling in the background when you contact customer services. For your own sanity I would recommend not purchasing on this website.

I guess, i have the same experience like others.
No customer service help. I ordered some kitchen balls in the store, they placed order to deliver to the store, I paid straight away. 2 days nothing here, I just worried they put my mail incorrect. So I came to the store to ask about my order. They know nothing, showed me the number of customer service to call. I called, the number changed. I called different number what they left - they unavailiable, the way how get in touch with them is not clear. They say it very fast. I googled and found that there are many people like me.
I think it is the time back to shop in stores and avoid online shopping at all.
I have very unlucky deliveries through this month.

Shame I can’t give 0 stars. Asked a member of staff for help and was given the wrong item. The member of staff looked at me with such conviction that he was giving me the right thing, he didn’t care. Because I opened the packet it couldn’t be returned. The manager was rude and a bully, no apology was given to me. It was the error of the staff member. I am left with an item that’s no use to me. Staff here are unbelievably poor. Careful with this branch. Awful awful awful.
